Melaka Tengah police chief ACP Christopher Patit said the incident occurred at around 6.45 am and the victims were identified as the driver of the Proton Wira, Muhammad Nur Zamani Mohd Nazery, 28, and his passenger, Muhammad Haziq, 25.
'Initial investigations found that the car, driven by Muhammad Nur Zamani, was travelling from Melaka town towards Bukit Rambai via Jalan Persisiran Pantai Klebang. Upon reaching the scene, the vehicle is believed to have skidded, struck a road cone, spun out of control, and crashed into a tree on the road divider,' he said in a statement today.

KUALA LUMPUR: A married couple was arrested at a hotel in Shah Alam on Tuesday (July 1) for alleged involvement in prostitution and the distribution of pornographic videos via social media. "They targeted clients via the X platform to sell their pornographic videos, while prostitution activities were coordinated through Telegram," he said in a statement on Wednesday (July 2). Rusdi added that their fees ranged from RM450 to RM800 at a four-star hotel, while pornographic videos were priced at RM50 and RM150. "The couple has been remanded for three days until July 4. The case is being investigated under Sections 372(1), 372B and 372A of the Penal Code, as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998," he said. - Bernama

Negeri Sembilan bans alcohol in public recreational spaces
SEREMBAN — Negeri Sembilan has banned the consumption of alcoholic beverages in public recreational spaces such as parks, playgrounds, fields and beaches with immediate effect. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the decision is aimed at respecting the sensitivities of the public who use these areas for leisure and recreation. Enforcement will be conducted by local authorities and police, with a maximum fine of up to RM2,000. 'We have received many complaints about individuals consuming alcohol in these areas and leaving behind bottles and other packaging. 'We are not prohibiting alcohol consumption entirely. People can still drink at shops or in private premises, just not in these public spaces,' he said after chairing the state executive council meeting today. Meanwhile, Local Government Development, Housing, and Transportation Committee chairman J. Arul Kumar said complaints received included disturbances caused by noise, fights and discarded broken alcohol bottles. 'There have been incidents where children and members of the public were injured. We have many fields, playgrounds, parks and beaches meant for recreation and relaxation.
