AD Ports, Columbia Group form ship management JV
The newly formed entity, Noatum - CSM Limited, combines Columbia Group's expertise in advanced fleet management systems and AI-driven performance analytics, with AD Ports Group's diverse fleet and extensive ship management experience, both globally and regionally. Also, by integrating ship management into AD Ports Group's Maritime & Shipping Cluster service portfolio, this strategic alliance offers the benefits of world-class ship management system and team to third parties.
The JV will benefit from immediate access to Columbia Group's Performance Optimisation Control Room (POCR), an advanced digital platform designed to catalyse fleet performance enhancement, predictive maintenance, and regulatory compliance. This platform provides continuous live monitoring and comprehensive decision support tools to optimise voyages, speed, bunker usage, and emissions. The system will harness data from multiple vessels to empower informed decision-making and enhance operational and commercial performance.

UAE Rescues Ship's 22 Crew Members After Red Sea Attack
The UAE announced that the Safeen Prism vessel, operated by AD Ports Group, responded to a distress call from the commercial ship Magic Seas after it came under attack in the Red Sea. The attack caused damage to the vessel's structure, forcing its crew to abandon ship under difficult maritime conditions. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) confirmed that the UAE's response operation successfully rescued all 22 individuals aboard the vessel, including crew and security personnel. The rescue operation was carried out in close coordination with specialised maritime authorities, including the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) and the relevant international organisations, in accordance with the highest standards of safety and emergency response. The swift action reflects the UAE's steadfast commitment to the safety and security of international maritime navigation and its humanitarian solidarity with all nations in addressing the increasing challenges in strategic waterways. AD Ports, key firms eye e-methanol bunkering facility in Kezad
AD Ports Group, a leading facilitator of global trade, logistics, and industry, has signed a collaboration agreement with Masdar, Advario and the CMA CGM Group to explore the feasibility for the development of a state-of-the-art e-methanol bunkering and export facility at Khalifa Port and Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – Kezad Group. The project will provide critical infrastructure to complete the supply value chain and bridge commercial e-methanol production with key off-takers, such as CMA CGM, in support of accelerating the decarbonisation of the global shipping industry. The agreement also reinforces the UAE-France strategic partnership, fostered through the High-Level Business Council held annually between both countries, further leveraging mobilisation of the private sectors to deliver sustainable economic development and partnerships. Saif Al Mazrouei, Chief Executive Officer- Ports Cluster, AD Ports Group, said: 'The signing of this agreement marks an important milestone in our journey towards creating a more sustainable and environmentally responsible maritime industry.
