Broncos roster: WR Courtney Jackson (No. 89) could be a candidate to return kicks
Broncos Wire's 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at rookie wide receiver Courtney Jackson, No. 89. Before the Broncos: Jackson (5-11, 189 pounds) spent his final two college seasons at Arkansas State after spending 2019-22 at Syracuse University. As a member of the Orange, Jackson led the team in 2021 with 39 catches for 389 yards, earning an All-ACC mention from Pro Football Focus. Jackson transferred to Arkansas State in 2023, where he was a receiver and a punt returner. In 2023, Jackson had a 60-yard punt return and posted a 100-plus-yard receiving game against Texas State. In his Red Wolves career, Jackson had 81 receptions for 1,183 yards and nine touchdowns. As a returner, Jackson had 31 opportunities to run the ball back, returning the rock for 438 yards and three touchdowns in two seasons. Broncos tenure: Jackson was part of Denver's initial wave of undrafted free agent signings after the 2025 NFL draft in April. Jackson will make his Broncos debut during preseason in August. Chances to make the 53-man roster: Long shot. As two-time Pro Bowler Marvin Mims became more of a dynamic threat at wide receiver late in the 2024 season, the Broncos may be looking to have additional options at kick returner for the 2025 season. Therefore, although Jackson faces long odds to make the active roster, his return ability will help his odds. He might be stashed on the practice squad as a backup receiver/returner. Keyron Crawford's 2025 Auburn football player profile
The senior EDGE is aiming for a great season after logging 22 tackles in his first season on the Plains. Keyron Crawford showed his versatility last season by playing over 300 snaps at three positions within the linebacker corps. Crawford saw action in all 12 games last season after joining Auburn's roster from the transfer portal. After logging over 40 tackles and 10 tackles for loss as a sophomore at Arkansas State in 2023, Crawford made the move to the SEC, where he was a key contributor in Auburn's linebacker room. He could see his role increase this season as the Tigers look to fill out their linebacker corps following the departures of key names such as Eugene Asante, Dorian Mausi, and Austin Keys. Crawford is a worthy candidate to see more playing time and to mesh with sophomore Demarcus Riddick in the Tigers' pass rush. Here is a look at Keyron Crawford's player profile ahead of the 2025 season. Mizzou Hoops Lands Commitment of 2027 Top-30 Recruit
Mizzou Hoops Lands Commitment of 2027 Top-30 Recruit originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Missouri Tigers have earned an early start to their recruiting class of 2027 as four-star point guard Scottie Adkinson has committed to the Mizzou squad, according to Joe Tipton. The 6-foot-2 rising junior attends Webster Groves High in Saint Louis, MO. As a sophomore, Adkinson fueled Webster Groves to a 22-5 overall record, 6-0 in district play and they won the Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 5 state title. Advertisement Adkinson is ranked as the No. 26 overall player in the 2027 class, according to On3. He's also the third-best combo guard in the country, the No. 6 point guard and the No. 2 player in Missouri, behind only Link Academy point guard Davin Thompson. The St. Louis native also received offers from Illinois, Iowa, Louisville, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. Adkinson visited Columbia on unofficial visits several times this past year, most recently on June 20, so it's not a huge surprise to see the recruit make an early decision. Missouri's staff has gotten significant face time in with Adkinson since giving him an offer on Sep. 18, 2023, and they made several trips to Webster Groves High School to watch his games and practices. Missouri head coach Dennis Gates works the sideline© Denny Simmons / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images Regardless of his early announcement, Adkinson is one of the highest-ranked prospects in the country and is one of the best at his position. The 2027 class rankings have only been out for a few months, but he's already made a clear name for himself. Advertisement The Class of 2026 is still the primary focus, though, as multiple recruits are gearing up for official visits during the school year, all of which are rated with four stars at least.
