A massive dance music festival returns to NYC this fall, and it's expanding to Brooklyn
You know what they say about New York: Once you've made it here, you can make it in… Brooklyn? Or something like that. Maybe in the old days (you know, before the internet), Brooklyn was looked down upon in terms of cool factor, but it's definitely the goal in the 21st century. And even internationally beloved dance music festival We Belong Here isn't immune to the lure of the borough. A year after making its NYC debut in Central Park's Wollman Rink, We Belong Here announced that not only will it bring its 360-degree stage back to Manhattan, but it will bring the carefully curated experience to the Greenpoint waterfront, as well. 'New York City holds a special place in our story,' We Belong Here co-founder Justin Dauman said in a statement. 'The response to our first year at Central Park exceeded all expectations, with the majority of tickets selling out in the first 24 hours. Expanding to two festivals allows us to welcome more people to enjoy the experience, highlight more unique locations, and maintain the same level of intimacy.' Last year's first-ever NYC event featured multiple superstar DJs making their Central Park debuts, including Fisher, Kaskade and Monolink. The weekend was the culmination of a series of summer-long We Belong Here NYC pop-ups on Governors Island and Pier 16. First opened in the 1950s, Wollman Rink was a perfect choice of venue for the festival's official NYC debut, given its history of unconventional venues like Miami's Historic Virginia Key Park, the New York Stock Exchange and the Bowery Savings Bank. This year, the Greenpoint edition will launch the event series October 3–5, with the second annual Central Park edition following the next weekend, October 10–12. No word yet on where exactly We Belong Here will set up in Greenpoint, but anyone who's been there recently knows that it has become one of the crown jewels of the NYC waterfront.

A SEEMINGLY normal looking terraced house sold last year hides a bizarre hidden secret that makes it one of the most unique ever seen. The home in Rhyl, North Wales, which was bought for £170,000, is adorned with countless designs to bring out your inner child but appears completely standard from the outside. 9 9 9 Upon entering the three-bed semi-detached home, guests are immediately met with Disney-inspired designs on the walls and amongst the furnishings. The property features a number of murals dedicated to Disney films, including beloved movies Aladdin, Snow White, and The Lion King. Characters including Aladdin and the Genie are found on the walls of the open-plan living room and kitchen/diner area, alongside Princess Jasmine, Abu, Rajah, Iago, and the Sultan. As expected, the former owner was a "massive" Disney fan, telling her estate agent she had visited Disneyland more than 20 times in her life. Moving to the bedrooms, one features a theme from The Lion King while another blends a combination of Snow White with the Ministry of Magic from Harry Potter. Echoing the 1937 classic film, a Magic Mirror mural appears above a fireplace, which is a replica of one used from the Harry Potter films. Joining the smaller bedrooms inspired by The Lion King and Snow White, the main sleeping space is dedicated to a combination of Lilo & Stitch and Wreck-It Ralph. The room features bedding adorned with beloved character Stitch while the walls are painted reminiscent of Sugar Rush - the fictional video game inhabited by one of the main characters in the 2012 animated film. A third bedroom is 1980s themed and packed full of collectables and memorabilia. 9 9 9 Heading out into the garden, an '80s-themed mural dominates the side wall, featuring an assortment of retro pop culture characters including He-Man, She-Ra, Optimus Prime, ET, and an Ewok from Star Wars. When it was sold last year, its listing read: "We've just waved our magic wand and Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo we've found your happily ever after. "A charming three bedroom home where dreams come true. "Step into the spacious living/dining/kitchen area where the magic begins. "With plenty of natural light and an open plan design, you'll feel like you're in the happiest place on Earth with ample room for all the family, and can easily accommodate a large dining table and chairs, with double doors opening onto the newly laid Indian sandstone patio."
