Shocking video: Belarus man slams Iranian boy on floor at Moscow airport
A Belarusian man grabbed and threw a child on the floor at the Moscow international airport, injuring him seriously. The video of the unprovoked assault has gone viral. The 18-month-old boy, a native of Iran, is reportedly in a coma and fighting for his life. The boy suffered severe skull fractures and spinal injuries.
The boy and his pregnant mother had come to Russia to escape the Israel-induced war. The boy was not around his mother at the time of the incident.
The video shows the man sneaking in close to the boy at the airport. He suddenly grabs the boy and slams him head-first on the concrete floor, seriously injuring him.
The boy suffered severe skull fractures and spinal injuries. He is in a coma.
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Vladimir Vitkov of Belarus, has been arrested. The video shows him being escorted out by the Russian police.
After the horrific incident, investigators revealed that the accused had cannabis in his bloodstream. They also found additional drugs in his system, reported ToI.
The boy's mother had gone to collect his pushchair after their flight's arrival in Moscow.
The police haven't yet revealed the motive behind the crime. They, however, believe that drug intoxication played a major role in the incident. Israel-Iran war

Indian origin FBI director Kash Patel said that they have found and declassified intel on how the US Intelligence Community handled claims tying then-presidential candidate Donald Trump to Russia during the 2016 election. The document in question is a purported email dated July 27, 2016, alleging that Hillary Clinton had approved a campaign strategy to link Donald Trump to Russia in order to divert attention from the controversy surrounding her use of a private email server, reports the New York Times. The Russian intelligence memos first drew public attention in 2017, when The New York Times and The Washington Post reported on then-FBI Director James Comey's decision to break with Justice Department protocol. Comey publicly addressed the Clinton email investigation, criticizing her use of a private server while ultimately concluding that no criminal charges were warranted. 'We uncovered this annex, along with thousands of other documents, buried in a back room at the FBI. It revealed a highly classified piece of the Durham report: evidence that the Clinton campaign plotted to frame President Trump and fabricate the Russia collusion hoax. We worked with Chairman Grassley and declassified the documents immediately. And now the American people can see the truth for themselves,' said Kash Patel through a post on X. The annex reportedly revealed "evidence that the Clinton campaign plotted to frame President Trump and fabricate the Russia collusion hoax,' said Kash Patel. Donald Trump and his allies have accused former President Obama of 'treason' as the newly released documents offered fresh insight into a pivotal political period nearly a decade ago, reports the New York Times. Former CIA Director John Ratcliffe claimed the materials confirmed that the Russia collusion narrative originated from 'a coordinated plan to prevent and destroy Donald Trump's presidency.' 'These intelligence reports and related records, whether true or false, were buried for years. History will show that the Obama and Biden administration's law enforcement and intelligence agencies were weaponised against President Trump,' said senator Chuck Grassley said as per the New York Post. The annex, however, casts a doubt on a central piece of evidence behind the allegations that Hillary Clinton approved of a plan to link Donald Trump to Russia. Special counsel John Durham concluded that the July 27, 2016, email, along with a related message from two days earlier, was likely fabricated. "Whether or not the Clinton Plan intelligence was based on reliable or unreliable information, or was ultimately true or false," FBI agents should have exercised greater caution when handling material that seemed to stem from partisan sources, Durham noted, as per the New York Times.

US sanctions six Indian firms over Iranian petrochemical imports
The USA has imposed sanctions on at least six India-based companies, accusing them of imported Iranian petrochemical products worth millions of dollars. The action is part of its latest Iran-related sanctions targeting several global entities allegedly engaged in trade of Iranian oil, petroleum products, and petrochemicals. Chennai -based Kanchan Polymers and five Mumbai -based firms-Alchemical Solutions (also known as Chemform Trading), Ramniklal S Gosalia and Company, Jupiter Dye Chem, Global Industrial Chemicals, and Persistent Petrochem -are in the sanctions list issued by the state department as well as the office of foreign assets control (OFAC) on Wednesday (Thursday morning in India). The biggest accusation is against Alchemical Solutions , which allegedly purchased and imported Iranian-origin petrochemical products-which are under US sanctions-worth over $84 million from multiple companies between January and December 2024. Global Industrial is accused of importing Iranian products, including methanol, worth over $51 million between July 2024 and January 2025, while Jupiter Dye Chem is accused of importing products, including toluene, worth over $49 million between January 2024 and January 2025. Ramniklal allegedly imported Iranian petrochemical products, including methanol and toluene, worth over $22 million between January 2024 and January 2025. Persistent Petrochem allegedly imported approximately $14 million worth of Iranian petrochemicals from multiple companies, including Bab Al Barsha, a UAE-based commodities trading company, with shipping dates between October 2024 and December 2024. Kanchan Polymers is accused of importing over $1.3 million worth of Iranian-origin petrochemical products, including polyethylene, from Tanais Trading. These Indian firms have been designated under section 3(a)(iii) of executive order 13846 for "knowingly engaging" in a significant transaction for the purchase, acquisition, sale, transport, or marketing of petrochemical products from Iran. Under the sanctions, all property and interests in property of these companies in the US or under the control of US persons are blocked. The sanctions also block an entity or company which is 50% or more owned by a person or company that is already blocked. Iran Protests Reacting to the development, the Iranian embassy in India on Thursday criticised the US for weaponising economy by imposing sanctions on independent nations like Iran and India. "The United States continues to weaponise the economy and use #sanctions as tools to dictate its will on independent nations such as Iran and India and impede their growth and development," the embassy said in a post on X shared via its official handle @Iran_in_India.
