Police say 3 killed, 10 injured in the Turks and Caicos Islands' first mass shooting
At least four suspects were involved in the shooting early Sunday on the island of Providenciales, but no one has been arrested, according to Police Commissioner Fitz Bailey, who called it 'deeply disturbing.'
'We are now having a gangland-type slaying, and a lot of this gang violence seems to be concentrated in our Haitian communities,' Premier Charles Washington Misick told a press conference.
He called on the Haitian community to cooperate with police, saying some of them know how guns are being smuggled into the Turks and Caicos Islands.
'What is happening here is unlike anything we've ever seen before,' he said. 'This is not a situation we should accept.'
The shooting comes as the archipelago cracks down on illegal immigration.
An estimated 10,900 Haitians live in the Turks and Caicos Islands, representing a third of the territory's population. Around 80% of Haitians live in Providenciales, and 20% have permanent residency, according to the United Nations humanitarian affairs office.
Acting Gov. Anya Williams said the hospital in Providenciales was on lockdown to protect those being treated for their injuries. She said at least two of those injured were flown overseas for further treatment.

State Trooper Is Said to Be a Suspect in 2 Fatal Shootings
A New Jersey state trooper who previously was a supervisor on the governor's protection detail is suspected of killing his former girlfriend and a man in Hunterdon County before killing himself, according to two people briefed on the investigation. The deaths were discovered around 12:20 p.m. on Saturday, when local police officers responded to a 911 call in the Pittstown section of Franklin Township made by someone who had found an unconscious woman with physical trauma. The officers found two people who had been fatally shot in what investigators believe was a targeted act, according to the Hunterdon County prosecutor's office, which released a statement on Sunday. Investigators identified the victims as Lauren Semanchik, 33, of Pittstown, and Tyler Webb, 29, of Forked River. The two victims were found in Ms. Semanchik's home. While the prosecutor's office did not name a suspect, he was identified by a person familiar with the investigation as Ricardo Santos, a state trooper and Ms. Semanchik's ex-boyfriend. A second person familiar with the investigation confirmed the name of the suspect. Officer Santos had served several years ago in the State Police's executive protection unit on Gov. Philip D. Murphy's detail. More recently, he was assigned to the agency's dignitary protection unit, which guards other important people in the state government, one of the people said. He was found dead in a vehicle in Johnson Park in Piscataway, N.J., on Saturday, according to one of the people familiar with the investigation. The local police in Piscataway referred questions to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, which was closed for the weekend. Deanna Semanchik, Ms. Semanchik's sister, said in an interview Sunday that the trooper had been harassing Ms. Semanchik in recent weeks. She said the two had dated for only a few months earlier this year, but that he would not leave her alone. 'She was the most empathetic person I have ever met,' Deanna Semanchik said. 'She just had such a big heart.' Lauren Semanchik, a veterinarian, owned the home where the shooting occurred, property records show. Mr. Webb was a volunteer firefighter, according to the Pinewald Pioneer Fire Company, which announced his death in a Facebook post Sunday. A spokeswoman for the New Jersey attorney general's office, which oversees the State Police, said that the office was devastated by the tragedies and extended sympathies to the victims' families and loved ones. Victims of Montana bar shooting identified as manhunt for military veteran suspect continues
Officials have identified the four victims who were shot and killed when an Army veteran allegedly opened fire at The Owl Bar in Anaconda, Montana, on Friday morning. At about 10:30 a.m. on Friday, 45-year-old Michael Brown allegedly entered The Owl Bar and opened fire, killing 59-year-old Daniel Edwin Baillie, 64-year-old Nancy Lauretta Kelley, 70-year-old David Allen Leach, and 74-year-old Tony Wayne Palm, all of whom were residents of Anaconda. Brown remains at large as search efforts continue in the Stumptown area, just west of Anaconda, where the suspect was last seen. Authorities released a photo of Brown on Saturday, showing him barefoot and shirtless, walking down a flight of steps. The photo showed Brown wearing black shorts and fleeing after the shooting Friday, according to the state Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI). It is unclear what led to the shooting. DCI Administrator Lee Johnson said in a statement Friday evening that officials had located the white F-150 pickup truck in which Brown allegedly fled. However, Brown was not located in or around the vehicle. After discovering the vehicle, authorities focused their search on the mountains near Stumptown Road. The search continued into Sunday and has involved air and ground resources. SWAT also cleared Brown's house Friday, though he remained at large. Law enforcement officials have not received reports of Brown harming any other people, though he is believed to be armed and dangerous. Residents in the area have been encouraged to stay inside their homes and remain on high alert. DCI has warned residents that if they see Brown not to approach him. Instead, residents are encouraged to call 911 immediately. He has been described as 5-foot-10 and about 170 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. Brown was an armor crewman in the Army from January 2001 to May 2005 and served in the National Guard from April 2006 to March 2008, Army Public Affairs confirmed to Fox News Digital. He deployed to Iraq from February 2004 to March 2005 and left the service with the rank of sergeant. He also served as an armor crewman in the Montana National Guard from April 2006 to March 2009, officials said.

Fair Oaks man suspected in deadly West Sacramento hit-and-run that killed 2
A Fair Oaks man was arrested in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in West Sacramento that left two people dead, West Sacramento Police said on Sunday. The hit-and-run happened on Saturday night on Jefferson Boulevard. Police said two female victims were found at the scene, and that it was determined that a hit-and-run had taken place. In coordination with Vacaville Police, officers found and arrested a suspect. West Sacramento Police identified the suspect as 71-year-old David Alison Walker, of Fair Oaks. The Yolo County Coroner's Office will identify the victims. West Sacramento Mayor Martha Guerrero issued a statement following the deadly incident. "Thank you to the West Sacramento Police Department for your swift and dedicated work in apprehending the suspect involved in yesterday's tragic accident that took two precious lives from our community.I also thank our West Sacramento Fire Department Firefighters who were on the scene handling this horrific heart goes out to the families and loved ones who are grieving this unimaginable loss.
