Watch: Patriots fans react to Stefon Diggs arriving at training camp
The veteran four-time Pro Bowler suffered an ACL injury that ended his season prematurely last October with the Houston Texans. He has been working hard behind the scenes to return before the start of the season, and that hard work led to him being available on the first day of training camp.
Before the injury, Diggs was coming off six straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons. He has been widely viewed as one of the most consistent and productive wide receivers in the league for years. Patriots fans are hopeful he can bring that same level of success during his run in New England.
Diggs had a productive 2024 campaign leading up to the injury in a loaded Texans' offense, recording 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns.
A return to form for the star wideout would add tremendous value to the Patriots' offense. Combining his natural playmaking abilities with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels' play-calling could be special to watch.

Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (hamstring) to miss some practice time
Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson will miss time in training camp as he deals with a left hamstring strain, coach Kevin O'Connell told reporters Friday. Jefferson did not practice Friday after leaving Thursday's practice about a third of the way through the session, telling reporters he felt "tightness" in both legs. He cited his experience from the 2023 season when he missed seven games with a torn right hamstring as a reason to be cautious. The four-time Pro Bowler and 2022 Offensive Player of the Year was sent for an MRI exam after Thursday's practice and was diagnosed with what O'Connell called a "very mild" strain in his left hamstring, notably not the same spot as the 2023 injury. "The best thing is, we avoided anything serious. I see no concerns in regards to the opener," O'Connell said Friday. "I have no worry at all that we'll be able to get Justin ready to go for the regular season." O'Connell said Jefferson will be reevaluated next week. After leading the NFL in receptions (128) and receiving yards (1,809) in 2022, Jefferson reached the 1,000-yard mark for the fourth straight season in 2023 despite the hamstring injury. He started 17 games last season, notching 1,533 yards on 103 catches to go with 10 TD receptions. Drafted in the first round (22nd overall) in 2020, Jefferson has 495 catches for 7,432 yards and 40 touchdowns in 77 career games (74 starts). His career average of 96.5 receiving yards per game is the highest in NFL history. The Vikings open the season against the host Chicago Bears on Monday, Sept. 8. --Field Level Media Field Level Media 2025 - All Rights Reserved

Patriots insider drops bold Stefon Diggs injury prediction ahead of training camp
The post Patriots insider drops bold Stefon Diggs injury prediction ahead of training camp appeared first on ClutchPoints. The New England Patriots received a major boost ahead of training camp. Veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs is not appearing on the team's physically unable to perform (PUP) list, a strong signal that he may be ahead of schedule in his recovery from a torn ACL injury suffered last October. Diggs, who joined the Patriots this offseason on a three-year, $63.5 million deal, tore his ACL midway through the 2024 season while playing for the Houston Texans. Despite the significant injury, Diggs looked impressively quick during voluntary workouts earlier this summer. So much so that he often appeared as one of the most explosive receivers on the field. The Patriots' official training camp injury report confirmed that Diggs avoided both the PUP and non-football injury (NFI) lists. That suggests he'll be ready to participate in camp from Day 1. Sure, this doesn't guarantee he'll be active for Week 1. However, it's an undeniably positive development given that full ACL recovery typically ranges from 9–12 months, and Diggs is just over eight months into his rehab. By contrast, other notable receivers like San Francisco's Brandon Aiyuk are expected to miss significant time. So the fact that Diggs is already trending toward on-field action puts New England in an enviable position. Stefon Diggs is on track for a strong season with the Patriots Before his injury, Diggs was on pace for another strong year. He recorded 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns in just eight games. He's produced six straight 1,000-yard seasons and brings over 10,000 career receiving yards to a Patriots offense that lacked firepower in 2024. Now set to work alongside second-year quarterback Drake Maye and under the leadership of new head coach Mike Vrabel, Diggs' presence gives New England a much-needed weapon. His return could be the key to jumpstarting an offense that was stuck in neutral. If early signs hold, Diggs could be full-go for the team's season opener. If he can play, it will be a welcome development for a Patriots team eager to turn the page. Patriots' Stefon Diggs chasing around dog he almost lost is funniest thing you'll see today
The post Patriots' Stefon Diggs chasing around dog he almost lost is funniest thing you'll see today appeared first on ClutchPoints. Things did not start smoothly for New England Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs on the first day of training camp, which happened to be Puppy Adoption Day, as he spent a portion of it chasing his dog. A video was posted by Patriots on CLNS on X, formerly Twitter. Diggs walked in proudly with his dog before putting them on the ground. The dog took off, and Diggs had to chase it down. Luckily, he was successful in chasing down the puppy. Diggs saved the moment from turning disastrous. Hopefully, he learned from the experience, and this is the last time he lets the puppy off their leash. Stefon Diggs' first training camp with the Patriots Diggs is just starting his first training camp with the Patriots. He spent the 2024 season with the Houston Texans, during which he only played in eight games. His season was cut short in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts. Diggs suffered a non-contact knee injury, which was later revealed to be a torn ACL. His season ended with a career-low 47 catches for 496 yards. He only caught three touchdowns — his lowest since 2016. This is already Diggs' 11th season in the NFL. He spent his first five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings before being traded to the Buffalo Bills during the 2020 offseason. Diggs would spend the next four years of his career with the Bills. He had his best seasons with them, logging over 1,000 yards in all four seasons, including a career-high 1,535 yards in 2020. After being traded to the Texans, he spent one season with them. He then signed a three-year contract with the Patriots during the 2025 offseason. Hopefully, he is able to stay healthy for the whole season. Throughout his career, Diggs has been a four-time Pro Bowler (2020-24), and he was named to two All-Pro teams (one First-team, one Second-team). In 2020, he led the league in yards (1,535) and catches (127).
