Liverpool transfer news: Fresh interest in Darwin Nunez as three youngsters face exit

AC Milan are the latest big club being linked with a move for Darwin Nunez, who Liverpool remain willing to sell for the right price during Arne Slot's summer rebuild Liverpool face Athletic Bilbao twice tonight with Arne Slot's entire squad set to be handed some minutes ahead of next weekend's FA Community Shield against Crystal Palace at Wembley. ‌ But all the focus for now remains on whether they can bring in Alexander Isak from Newcastle. A deal of £110m has been rejected by the Toon, who want significantly more for their star striker because he has three years to run on his contract. He was also set to return to the North East from Spain over the weekend. ‌ And while Liverpool have already spent close to £300m on new signings they are under no PSR pressure having already sold several fringe members of the squad while commercial and matchday revenues have grown substantially. ‌ Here are the transfer stories worth keeping an eye on as the new season rapidly approaches Darwin departure? AC Milan have made contact with the representatives of Darwin Nunez as they eye a deal for the Liverpool forward. The Italian giants are said to have made the Uruguay international their top target for the final weeks of the transfer window. Nunez has been widely expected to leave Anfield this summer and the arrival of Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz would appear to have left him further down Arne Slot's pecking order. Liverpool retain an interest in Newcastle star Alexander Isak too and have seen a bid turned down for the Premier League striker. If the Reds are successful in landing the Sweden star, Nunez's position would appear to be even more untenable. But thus far, Liverpool have not been able to find an agreement with any suitors for the former Benfica forward's signature. Three youngsters to go Liverpool could let three youngsters leave the club this summer as Luca Stephenson, James McConnell and Lewis Koumas gain interest from a number of teams. And the Premier League champions are open to sanctioning more exits for some young players as manager Arne Slot continues to overhaul his squad to keep it in fighting contention for the Premier League title once again. ‌ Stephenson has featured in pre-season under Slot and has impressed Slot after being included in the pre-season tour to Asia, but he has interest from Dundee United , Swansea, Reading, Rotherham and Cardiff over a loan move. Past target's Spurs interest Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up a player who almost moved to Liverpool, as they now look to replace Son Heung-Min. The legendary Spurs forward dropped the bombshell announcement on Saturday that he had made the decision to leave north London. ‌ Thomas Frank, while disappointed at the annoucement, will now have to quickly turn his attention to bolstering his frontline, with Paris Saint-Germain's Randal Kolo Muani reportedly at the top of his list. The France international was of interest to Spurs in January, but spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus, where he scored 10 goals in 22 appearances. He has also courted many suitors in the past, not least the Reds.

Man Utd vs Everton LIVE SCORE: Pre-season friendly on NOW as Ndiaye LEVELS Summer Series finale after Fernandes' pen

MANCHESTER UNITED and Everton are going head-to-head in the final match of the Premier League Summer Series RIGHT NOW. The Red Devils took the lead on 19 minutes after Bruno Fernandes slotted his penalty past Jordan Pickford. Minutes before half-time, Iliman Ndiaye levelled the clash, getting on the end of a superb ball from Idrissa Gueye. Bryan Mbeumo made his long-awaited Man Utd debut up top following his £71million switch from Brentford last month. New forward Matheus Cunha is also involved after he was rested in the recent 2-1 win over West Ham due to fatigue. Sydney split from her ex- fiance, producer Jonathan Davino, earlier this year. They had dated since 2018 and got engaged in 2022. However, she is now said to be casually dating in America. A source said: 'Her Instagram DMs are packed with messages from famous men trying to get in contact with her. 'It's mostly guys playing for teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal. 'They offer her trips to Europe to see them and take her on a date, but she's not the kind of person who does that. 'Some of them are very insistent and have even tried to find her address to send her flowers, but she always refuses. 'I'd say more than 100 people, from celebs to millionaires or very rich people from the Middle East and Asia, contact her every month.' Pals are now joking to the White Lotus actress that she is 'the most wanted woman in America since Madonna'. While Sydney doesn't mind polite messages, the source said she is quick to call out those who misbehave. They added: 'The ones who cross the line of respect are quickly blocked. 'Not long ago, an American actor who had recently divorced approached her to take her on a date. 'She declined and he started being very rude, so she told him to stop talking to her and to show some respect to her and all women.' In May, Sydney said of her new single life: 'I'm learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I'm loving it.' Sydney and Jonathan are said to have been 'rocky for some time' before calling it quits. 3 The source said Sydney is quick to call out those who misbehave Credit: Getty Her busy work schedule was reportedly partly to blame. Sydney is an executive producer and the leading role in her upcoming film The Housemaid. Last month, her campaign for clothing brand American Eagle was hailed as the 'end of woke'. Killjoys accused it of racism for its 'good jeans' line — saying it promoted white supremacy. Unlock even more award-winning articles as The Sun launches brand new membership programme - Sun Club.
