In one clip that went viral with over 8 million views, Lys revealed she even wears a collar to show her commitment to following her husband.
She said: "I respect my man's lead. He provides, he protects, he puts our best interests first. I could ask that man for anything and he would go to the ends of the earth just to get it for me, and if he can't, he's gonna make it.
"My day collar is a daily sign of submission. For us, it is a deeper level of connection than a wedding ring.
"I fully rely on my man to protect us mentally, physically, spiritually. I fully trust him to the point where I am actively submitting to him.
"I'm not gonna constantly be this wrecking ball when he walks through the house. I'm going to be a safe, comforting place where he can go."
The video caused such a storm online that Lys followed up the video to defend herself and shared how she supports her husband.
Lys added: "Yes, I am a trad wife. I don't lay on the ground so my husband can use me as a rug to wipe his boots on, but I'll take his boots off.
"I'll make sure that he has a peaceful and quiet place to come home to. I'll make sure he's not met at the door with chaos and destruction.
"I'll make sure that as a man, he feels heard. I respect his decisions. I respect his lead. I respect his thoughts."
Lys refers to herself as the 'suitable helper' to her husband and goes on to say that being submissive doesn't mean she has no voice.
Meet the Queen of the Trad Wives - she shuns work & lets her man decide everything
"Embracing being a suitable helper doesn't mean my voice is less," she continues.
"It doesn't mean that I'm silenced and oppressed. It means I'm embracing it. I am embracing being a suitable helper."
The video also went viral on her TikTok account @farmmamalys with over 265k views.
People were quick to share their thoughts in the comments, and many women were quick to say the lifestyle Lys leads wasn't for them.
One person wrote: "What in the Handmaids Tale?"
Another commented: "If you wanna take off someone's boots like a toddler have fun."
What is a trad wife?
A trad wife (short for traditional wife) is a woman who chooses to take on an ultra traditional role in marriage, meaning she makes dinner and looks pretty whilst her husband goes to work.
The trend takes inspiration from the idea of a 1950s housewife.
Many 'trad wives' choose to dress in the style of clothing popular in this period (think floral dresses and frumpy cardigans).
Additionally, the values considered important to trad wives are similar to strict Christian values.
Trad wives believed they were not forced into this way of life, and that it was their purpose to be homemakers.
The trend, which has garnered attention on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, glamorises a time gone by with little acknowledgement of the economic challenges facing families and mothers today.
"You do you, but I could never," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "So your life is his. Not yours. You're an extension of his life."
"Girl, want more for yourself,' claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: "What's the opposite of a 'suitable helper' I'm that."

Before this, the mum-of-four was earning just £800-a-month working in a supermarket's customer service kiosk. She was also on benefits to subsidise her eye-watering £1,800-a-month childcare costs and "dreaded" her council tax bill coming through. Olivia shared how numerous people have questioned why she decided to quit her job after winning just over £100,000 and have told her the decision is 'not wise'. More on lottery winners LOTTA LOTTO LOVE UK's youngest lottery winner finds love after split from boyfriend However, she explained that without getting help from Universal Credits towards childcare, it made sense for her to do it herself and save £1,800. She hit back in a clip, saying: 'Listen, buddy, listen. I gave up my job. Yes, because I earned £800 a month without the Universal Credit element of getting the cost of childcare paid for then I'm working for nothing. 'I still have to pay my childcare costs of £1,800 a month. 'I'm sick and tired of having to explain this to people.' She shared how she hopes to start her own wedding content creation business, instead of just blowing through the money. Olivia added: 'That's using my weddings to change my life, to change my career. That's what I plan to do. I'm not gonna blow through the money and if you'd watched any of my videos you would know this. In a TikTok clip (@mrsolivialove), she said: "When I won the lottery, I knew it would change my life. But I didn't expect how loud the internet would get. "With the win came judgement, assumptions and a lot of hate. Especially from men who can't stand to see a woman win. "Just for being proud of my life. For spreading hope and positivity. Players can also win £10,000 a month for a whole year by matching the five main numbers. Olivia revealed she did six lucky dips at £1.50 each on the app, with one of them bagging the second tier prize of the cash for a year. She's never played her own numbers, explaining: 'I've always had the fear that if you did play your own numbers the one time you didn't play it, that would be the time your numbers came in.' She was shocked when she received an email from The National Lottery team at 12.33am on May 16 June that changed everything for this couple. However, she said it has changed her life for the better, saying: 'I feel like I can be more present now. Enjoy more moments. 'The stress I felt before stopped me enjoying the little things.' With the win came judgement, assumptions and a lot of hate. Especially from men who can't stand to see a woman win Olivia Love Recently, she documented her family's "first holiday as lottery winners" to North Wales with their four kids and Kevin's parents. They hired a stunning four-bedroom 17th century farmhouse for the week and spent just £2,202.06 in total including car rental, food, and accommodation. The winning numbers in the draw were: 03, 27, 42, 45, 46, plus Life Ball 06. Before she won, she had been playing sporadically for four to five months and would play when she had the 'notion to do it.' And despite winning, she still hasn't stopped buying lucky dips 'from time to time.' 5 She recently paid for a £2,200 holiday in Wales for her family Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk DOWNSIDE While buying items like her hubby's car has brought her 'so much joy', there are some downsides to the winnings. Olivia has had people message her to beg for money, with one saying: 'Can I have like £20,000 to pay my debts off?' As a result, the Lottery winner said: "I've got my dms very closed.' Since going public with her win, Olivia has hilariously joked about wiping away fake tears with £20 notes in response to cruel comments from trolls.

The Shocking Feud Between These Top Celebrity Podcasters

It was one of the most powerful pairings in podcasting. When Call Her Daddy powerhouse Alex Cooper brought TikTok darling Alix Earle into her newly launched production network Unwell, it was clear she was tapping the next generation of huge media stars to follow in her footsteps. But things didn't last when in March the podcast stopped and neither party said very much afterwards. So, what exactly went wrong? Now, six months after her podcast Hot Mess was cancelled, Earle, who has more seven million followers on TikTok, seems to have confirmed rumours of a feud between them. The 24-year-old left some telling comments on her TikTok channel. She posted a video from a car and said, 'My Co–Star told me that I can start s--- today,' referring to the popular astrology app. 'I mean, is this my time that I've been waiting for to go? I have so much information. We could go.' She went on, 'I wake up every day, and I'm like, "What should I do Co-Star?" And today, it's like, "Revenge. Let's go get 'em."' Things got more pointed when a fan left a comment saying, 'Yes, tell us what happened with Alex Cooper thank you.' She responded, 'How much time do you have?' Earle was one of the first people to be signed up to Unwell in 2023, and in March of this year the podcast stopped. Neither Cooper nor Earle gave a clear reason for why it was cancelled. Cooper responded to rumours of the feud on TikTok at the time, saying, 'Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell. [I don't know] why she can't/what's going on.' She also confirmed that Earle had full intellectual property rights over Hot Mess , meaning Unwell wasn't preventing her from resuming. But Cooper indicated that there was actually more to the story in May, two months after the cancellation, when she shared more about the decision to the Wall Street Journal : 'That was, behind the scenes, a little bit of a hot mess.' Earle has previously said she has 'plans to bring things back', but rather than bring the podcast back as was shared she wanted to focus on her YouTube channel. 'We have plans to bring things back, elevate things,' the 24-year-old explained. 'It might look a little different, but I'm excited to see what we do with it.'
