A FORMER Livingston star could face trial over an allegation he deliberately got a yellow card against Celtic to help a betting scam.
Prosecutors claim Keaghan Jacobs, 35, aimed to 'assist others to cheat' while playing for Livingston against the Hoops in October 2019.

They allege Conan McDiarmid, 40, had placed bets, and arranged for others to place wagers, on the midfielder receiving a booking.
Jacobs was cautioned by referee Willie Collum for a challenge on Bhoys winger Jonny Hayes in the 95th minute of the Premiership match, with Livi just seconds away from a famous 2-0 victory.
Court papers state: 'It had been arranged that Jacobs would act in a manner whereby he would receive a yellow card.'
Neither man attended a hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. The case against South African-born Jacobs — now at Lowland League club Gala Fairydean Rovers — was continued without plea.
Ex-Penicuik defender McDiarmid, from Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, pled not guilty via his lawyer. He faces trial later this year.
Jacobs, of Edinburgh, previously made history in 2010 by turning out for Livi against Albion Rovers alongside his triplet brothers.
He posted a message on X just last month wishing David Martindale's team good luck in the Premiership promotion playoffs.
Jacobs was also a special hospitality guest of the club at their SPFL Trust Trophy final appearance against Queen's Park at Falkirk.

Juggling a Hearts senior squad exceeding 30 players is one of the more difficult assignments in Derek McInnes' 18-year managerial career. The imminent signings of forwards Sabah Kerjota and Pierre Landry Kabore will take the number of first-team members to 32, almost enough for three different teams. McInnes won't complain. In fact, he is relishing the challenge of rejuvenating the Edinburgh club after last season's seventh-place Premiership finish. The 54-year-old left Kilmarnock in May, eager to take the reins in Gorgie and oversee a transformation in fortunes. Six signings are done with at least two more to follow, while three Premier Sports Cup group ties have yielded three wins and 12 goals scored. So far, so good as McInnes looks to build maroon momentum. At the back of his mind is the William Hill Premiership kick-off against Aberdeen on 4 August. These are proper games in the League Cup and we're trying to demonstrate that. This is the biggest squad I've ever had to work with. 'Normally, when you're playing pre-season games, you can get 11 on and 11 off, or you can arrange another game the next day and you've got a totally different team to play 90 minutes. When the League Cup comes you can't be too frivolous with it all or underplay it. You've got to be ready and you've just got to sometimes make sure you pick out a strong team.' McCall, 61, now assistant boss at Preston, said: 'I've seen plenty of Rangers in recent seasons, and whether it was under Steven Gerrard, Gio van Bronckhorst or Philippe Clement, the best results and performances have been the away games in Europe. 'Even Barry Ferguson had that great win at Fenerbahce in March. 'So of course they would like to win against Panathinaikos and go to Greece ahead. 'But if it's level, that wouldn't be the worst result because they know they can go abroad and get results. 'It's not win at all costs. As long as they are still in the tie after Tuesday, they will have a chance. 'The support is so important, though. They have to stay with the team. In my own experience, like back in 1992 when we played Marseille and were 2-0 down at home in the Champions League, the support stuck by us and we ended up getting it back to 2-2.' McCall says Martin's philosophy can work at Ibrox — but he needs a buy-in from his players. He added: 'I like Russell, I worked with him when I was involved on the coaching side with Scotland. He thinks deeply about the game and he's shown that at Swansea and Southampton. 'He has a specific way he wants to play and that's fine as long as the players buy into it. I've seen Joe Rothwell down here and he's a good player, but my only concern with him is, does it mean Nico Raskin's going? 'If they have Raskin, Rothwell and Mohamed Diomande that's a good midfield, with Connor Barron as back-up. 'The lad Thelo Aasgaard I saw bits of at Wigan and Luton and he's also a good player. Same with Max Aarons, he should handle the Premiership fine. 'As is always the case, it's about whether they have the attitude to deal with Scotland and the scrutiny that comes if you lose a couple.' While McCall's Well side shipped five to the Greeks 13 years ago, he still looks back at what might have been. He said: 'It looks like a battering, but for most of the tie we'd held our own. 'We started well, could have been up, but lost a horrible free-kick goal, and another on the counter to make it 2-0. 'Over there it was 0-0 at half-time and I remember saying to the players, 'If we score, the whole tie changes'. 'But they scored soon after the restart and killed our hopes.'
