About Saiyaara
While Aneet Padda 's rise to stardom may seem like a dream run, director Mohit Suri recently revealed just how casually the young actor balanced auditions with academics—and still nailed both. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Suri recalled her effortless approach during her early auditions for Saiyaara He recalled that the first audition he saw of Aneet Padda was a self-tape on a mobile phone. Later, she was called for a proper audition. According to the director, Aneet used to visit, give her auditions and then go back to give her exams. What baffled Suri even more was her calmness. He even asked her once if she failed, but she replied casually, 'No, I passed.'Aneet's quiet confidence and grounded energy can be traced back to her roots. Born in Amritsar, Punjab, she completed her schooling at Spring Dale Senior School and later pursued a degree in humanities from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University . Her early brush with the entertainment world came through advertisement commercials in Mumbai, which, as per Yash Raj Films, laid the foundation for her entry into showbiz. Before making waves in Saiyaara, Aneet had already begun to carve a space for herself in the industry. She made her Bollywood debut with a minor role in Salaam Venky (2022), starring Kajol. In 2024, she gained further recognition with her portrayal of Roohi in Amazon Prime Video's Big Girls Don't Cry , where she starred alongside Pooja Bhatt and Raima Sen. Her performance resonated with Gen Z audiences and earned her critical praise, cementing her position as a promising new voice in the industry.Aneet Padda's breakout moment couldn't have come with a bigger stage. Saiyaara, the romantic drama that marks her big-screen debut alongside fellow newcomer Ahaan Pandey, has emerged as one of the biggest surprises of the year, not just for its emotional storytelling, but for its historic box office numbers. Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, the film has shattered expectations, collecting a massive ₹83 crore in India during its opening weekend alone. What makes Saiyaara's success truly remarkable is that it achieved these numbers without the pull of major stars or the boost of a holiday release. The film now holds the record for the biggest-ever opening day for a debutant-led movie, and it has also become Mohit Suri's most successful opener to date. In an era where romantic films often struggle to find their footing at the box office, Saiyaara has not only struck a chord with audiences but also redefined what a love story fronted by fresh faces can achieve. For Aneet, the film's soaring popularity has only amplified the buzz around her emotionally resonant performance as Vaani Batra, a young writer facing early-onset Alzheimer's disease.

Was 'Virus' Played By Boman Irani In '3 Idiots' Really A Villain?

Why was Virus so disliked in 3 Idiots? Reddit has revisited '3 Idiots' to shed light on Boman Irani's iconic character. The villains in select Bollywood movies do not enjoy the luxury of being portrayed in the grey area. Their accompanying background score, the 'villainous" dialogues they utter, the animated mannerisms they exhibit, or them being clowned on the screen over and over again by the 'hero" throughout the movie, make the audience return to their homes and wonder, 'Well, that character was a total jerk!" Over the years, Indian janta that enjoys Bollywood movies has revisited cinema and changed their stance on some of the characters they hated growing up. Anshuman in Jab We Met (2007) could have handled the Geet situation with empathy and respect, but was he really the bad guy or just stuck in a sticky situation as his love interest Geet? Sure, Subodh was a walking and talking calendar in Dil Chahta Hai (2001), but isn't it a green flag that a partner remembers the minute details of their dates, which could mean they really care? Dr Asthana's sole crime in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003) was that he made Munna's father cry, aware that their son was a local gangster with no real medical background. Was Munna hanging out on the hospital campus around real patients safe then? And now, Reddit has turned the clock back and revisited the curious case of Virus aka Viru Sahastrabudhhe, the iconic character portrayed by an exceptional Boman Irani in the coming-of-age comedy-drama 3 Idiots (2009). Out And Out Villain? 'Thoughts On Him? I Am Slowly Realizing He Was Correct All The Time," Reddit user Fun_Cookie7135 titled his post. 'i think the point was simply that even if you are correct you have to be a nice person for other people to respect you and understand you, (sic)" a user, responding to the post, wrote. The OP added to the conversation by saying, 'The movie presented him as a villain rather than showing that his saying was & remains correct in real world." A third asserted that Virus's favourite student succeeded in life, but so did the students he disliked – implying that his teachings were misplaced, and he was wrong in preaching that marks were everything to thrive in the real world. Virus' Impact First Rancho, then Pia (Viru's daughter) – both remind Virus about the suicides of Joy and the director's son. The unempathetic head of the college declines a deadline extension to Joy Lobo, who is building a drone but hasn't completed his project yet owing to his father's ailment. Joy is devastated as he proceeds to take his own life. Additionally, Viru's son is pressured to pursue engineering instead of literature, his preferred career path. Piaa reveals to him in the tail end of the movie that her brother did not lose his life in a freak train accident but had died by suicide. The arrogant director, though not directly involved, refuses to admit his part in the loss of two lives. When pressured by Virus to betray his friend Rancho to avoid expulsion from college, Raju jumps out of the window from the director's office. He, however, survives and makes a full recovery. The movie shows Boman Irani's character in a moment of 'redemption" when he holds his grandchild, whom Rancho and fellow hostlers help deliver at the campus, and says that he could become a footballer instead of imposing his idealistic take on 'excellence". But was that enough to redeem him? Virus was a flawed man who lacked accountability, and his ego damaged those around him. A page called ' Villains Wiki" summed up Virus' crimes which, according to them, were as follows: 1) Abuse of power 2) Psychological abuse 3) Wrongful termination 4) Enforced suicide 5) Attempted sabotage Get Latest Updates on Movies, Breaking News On India, World, Live Cricket Scores, And Stock Market Updates. Who are Saiyaara singers Faheem and Arslan? Kashmiri engineer who quit job, came to Mumbai for 15 days, had planned to go back but...

Saiyaara is steadily climbing the ladder of success at the box office. Not only is the film performing well, but its music is also being hailed as a blockbuster. Mohit Suri's direction, along with the performances of Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda, has helped the film cross Rs 150 crore. Beyond the acting and storyline, what's truly winning hearts is the film's soulful music – the biggest reason behind its success. While audiences are loving all the songs, the title track of Saiyaara is leaving a particularly strong impression. Fans have been eagerly trying to find out the voice behind this beautiful track. Who is the singer of Saiyaara song? The title track of Saiyaara has been sung by Faheem Abdullah. Faheem hails from Kashmir and composed the song along with his longtime friend Arslan Nizami. Both of them moved to Mumbai to pursue their musical careers, as their songs were popular in Kashmir but they remained unknown outside the region. Arslan was working as a civil engineer near Leh, he wanted to do a full time in music composing and songwriting. Arslan and Faheem have collaborated several times for Kashmiri songs. They were popular in Kashmir but wanted to be popular outside the state. While talking to Hindustan Times, Arslan said, 'I always used to write and pen down songs. One day, I spoke to Faheem (his collaborator), saying 'Hamara music baahar pahunch nahi raha hai' (our music is not going out). Someone needs to get out and do that'. 'The same day, I resigned from my job and went to Faheem and said, 'Let's do it.' I really wanted to give our music a chance,' he adds. 'The most difficult thing was to explain this to my parents. They are Kashmiri parents, who believe in stability and a good job.' Faheem and Arslan went to Mumbai for 15 days and then… Faheem and Arslan pooled their savings and headed to Mumbai to try their luck. They initially planned to stay for just 15 days. 'We realized we only had enough money to survive for 14 days in Mumbai, so we gave ourselves those 14 days in the city,' Faheem recalled. On the 13th day of their stay, they met composer Tanishk Bagchi – and soon after, they were brought on board to compose the title track of Saiyaara. It was a pinch-me moment for them as they never thought of signing a film. Faheem said, 'To be able to do music itself is a privilege. We never thought we'd ever do music for a film. That was never something we consciously thought about until we got that call.'
