Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who played Theo Huxtable on ‘The Cosby Show,' dies at 54

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, the Emmy-nominated actor who starred as Theo Huxtable for eight seasons on 'The Cosby Show,' has reportedly died. He was 54.
Warner was on vacation with his family in Costa Rica when he accidentally drowned while swimming, People confirmed Monday.
In addition to 'The Cosby Show,' Warner amassed dozens of TV credits, including four seasons as the lead actor on 'Malcolm & Eddie' and six seasons as A.J. Austin on 'The Resident.'
Other appearances included work on 'Sons of Anarchy,' 'Major Crimes,' 'Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce' and 'Suits.'
Warner also won one Grammy for traditional R&B performance in 2015 and was nominated for spoken-word poetry album in 2023.
Of course, he was asked for his thoughts on co-star Bill Cosby when Cosby was accused of rape in 2015.
'He's one of my mentors, and he's been very influential and played a big role in my life as a friend and mentor,' Warner told Billboard. 'Just as it's painful to hear any woman talk about sexual assault, whether true or not, it's just as painful to watch my friend and mentor go through this.'

'Happy Gilmore 2' star Haley Joel Osment makes first red carpet appearance since arrest

"Happy Gilmore 2" star Haley Joel Osment made a rare red carpet appearance months after his April arrest made headlines. The former child star, now 37, walked the film's red carpet Monday, July 21, at Lincoln Center in New York City. He wore a floral shirt, and white pants for the affair, pairing the look with a matching jacket and slip-on suede loafers. "The Sixth Sense" star appears in "Happy Gilmore 2" (released Friday, July 25 on Netflix) — the brainchild of comedian Adam Sandler — as new character Billy Jenkins in the sequel to the beloved 1996 golf comedy. Osment's appearance at the premiere marked his first major public outing since he was arrested this spring and charged with disorderly conduct for public alcohol intoxication and possession of cocaine at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area resort in Mammoth Lakes, California. 'Happy Gilmore 2': The wildest celebrity cameos, from Travis Kelce to Ken Jennings Earlier this year, Osment apologized for his use of a slur in a statement shared with People and the New York Post April 18 after his arrest footage surfaced. The footage, shared by Page Six, shows Osment calling an officer a "Nazi" and hurling an antisemitic slur about Jewish people. "You'll wish you treated me nicer," Osment said to the officer. As he was escorted into the jail in handcuffs by two officers, the actor said, "Good luck." Osment told the outlets that "I'm absolutely horrified by my behavior. Had I known I used this disgraceful language in the throes of a blackout, I would have spoken up sooner." He added that "the past few months of loss and displacement have broken me down to a very low emotional place." Osment continued: "But that's no excuse for using this disgusting word. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize to absolutely everyone that this hurts. What came out of my mouth was nonsensical garbage - I've let the Jewish community down and it devastates me. I don't ask for anyone's forgiveness, but I promise to atone for my terrible mistake." Contributing: Saman Shafiq

Bradley Cooper May ‘Pop the Question' to Gigi Hadid in a ‘Couple of Months'

THE RUNDOWN After almost two years of dating, sources close to Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper believe they may be getting engaged soon. An insider speaking with Page Six says that they are very serious and that Cooper is 'considering marriage and kids with Gigi.' 'He might pop the question in the next couple of months,' they added. Another source stated, 'They could picture a blended family with their daughters and their own kids,' adding they are 'incredibly happy and are in their own bubble.' Both the actor and the model have children already, with Cooper sharing his seven-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine, with model Irina Shayk. Hadid shares her five-year-old daughter, Khai, with former boyfriend Zayn Malik. An insider told People in January that the couple has introduced their daughters and they all spend time together. 'It's very sweet,' said the source. 'They are busy with work, but also prioritize their relationship and daughters.' The couple first stirred dating rumors in October 2023 after being seen on a dinner date at Via Carota in New York City. They have been very discreet about their connection, but in March, Hadid opened up to Vogue that they met at the 'backyard birthday party' of a mutual friend's child. She also shared some of the challenges that come with dating as a celebrity. 'You want to give yourself a normal experience of dating, and even for my friends who aren't public figures, that's hard,' Hadid began. 'Where do you go? And, what? You just start talking to people? And then there's another added layer of privacy and security. You want to believe that people are going to have your back and not call TMZ or go on DeuxMoi or whatever, but you just don't know.' Hadid added that her and Cooper's relationship is 'very romantic and happy.'

One Piece Season 2: Latest updates on release date, cast and plot details

By Aman Shukla Published on July 26, 2025, 21:00 IST Last updated July 26, 2025, 20:35 IST If you've been waiting (impatiently) for more Straw Hat shenanigans, you're not alone. After Netflix's live-action One Piece crushed it with Season 1 in 2023, fans have been counting the days until the crew sets sail again—and now we've finally got some solid updates on what's coming in Season 2. Spoiler: it's going to be wild. Release Date: When Can We Expect Season 2? Netflix has confirmed One Piece Season 2 is officially dropping in 2026. Yeah, we were all secretly hoping for a late 2025 surprise, but those rumors have been put to rest. At Tudum 2025, Netflix made it clear: 2026 is the target. Filming's already wrapped in South Africa, and the cast even celebrated on the Going Merry set—which makes the wait a little more bearable. With Eiichiro Oda still involved and the showrunners aiming to top themselves, we're expecting something worth the patience. Cast: Returning Favourites and Exciting New Faces Our main crew is all returning, thankfully. That means we'll see: Iñaki Godoy back as our lovable rubber-powered captain, Luffy Mackenyu slicing it up again as Zoro Emily Rudd bringing heart and smarts as Nami Jacob Romero as the ever-dramatic Usopp Taz Skylar cooking and kicking it as Sanji But here's where things get really exciting: Tony Tony Chopper is joining the crew! Yup, everyone's favorite reindeer doctor is finally here, and he's being voiced by Mikaela Hoover ( Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ). Fans got a sneak peek during Tudum, and yep—he's just as adorable as you imagined. Season 2 is also adding a bunch of new faces, especially from the Baroque Works storyline. Here's a quick rundown: Katey Sagal ( Sons of Anarchy ) steps in as Dr. Kureha , after Jamie Lee Curtis had to drop out Mark Harelik plays Dr. Hiriluk , an important figure in Chopper's past Charithra Chandran ( Bridgerton ) shows up as the mysterious Vivi Joe Manganiello is stepping into the villain role as Mr. 0 (aka Crocodile) Lera Abova plays Miss All-Sunday David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3 Daniel Lasker and Camrus Johnson as Mr. 9 and Mr. 5 , respectively And Anton David Jeftha takes on the role of K.M. Plus, familiar faces like Buggy, Koby, and Garp are all expected to pop back in. Plot: What Adventures Await the Straw Hats? Season 2 picks up right where we left off—with Luffy and the crew sailing straight into the Grand Line, the most dangerous and mysterious sea in the world of One Piece . The showrunners (along with Oda himself) have teased that this season will tackle some fan-favorite arcs from the early Grand Line saga. Here's what we're heading into: Loguetown : The last stop before the Grand Line, full of surprises (and a run-in with Marine Captain Smoker). Reverse Mountain / Twin Capes : Expect a wild entrance into the Grand Line and a massive whale named Laboon . Whiskey Peak : A too-good-to-be-true town that turns into a trap. Little Garden : Dinosaurs, giants, and chaos. What more could you ask for? Drum Island: The emotional core of the season—this is where Chopper's story kicks in, and we meet Dr. Kureha and Hiriluk. All of this builds up toward the Arabasta storyline, so yeah—big things are coming. Expect more intense battles, deeper character moments, and that signature One Piece blend of heart, humor, and adventure. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication .
