The Hollywood Reporter also received a nomination for its Off Script With The Hollywood Reporter series in the arts and popular culture program category.
This year, several new categories will debut, including outstanding culinary cultural series, outstanding emerging talent in a daytime drama series and outstanding regional content in a daytime genre.
The nominees in eight categories were announced on Wednesday evening on Access Hollywood, E! News, ET and Extra. The categories are outstanding daytime drama series, outstanding instructional series, outstanding daytime talk series, outstanding travel or adventure program, outstanding lead actor in a daytime drama series, outstanding lifestyle program, outstanding lead actress in a daytime drama series and outstanding instructional/how-to program.
There are five nominees and one winner in each category; however, some categories, like daytime drama program and daytime personality – daily, have fewer. According to National Awards Committee guidelines, 'in any category where there are fewer than ten submissions, no more than 50 percent of submitted entries may be nominated.''We're excited to recognize the exceptional individuals and teams who make daytime television great every year and in some cases, every day,' says Adam Sharp, President and CEO of NATAS. He added, 'As the Daytime landscape continues to expand, we're excited to introduce new categories to recognize the boundary-pushing work being done, and we're enthusiastic to convene with and celebrate the whole Daytime community in one ceremony.'

Nancy Meyers shades 'The Holiday 'series in the works at Apple TV+: 'News to me'
"Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw," the filmmaker said of the project's points The Holiday is receiving a limited series at Apple TV+. Nancy Meyers, the writer/director behind the original 2006 movie, shaded the announcement of the project on Instagram. Meyers previously shot down rumors that a sequel to the movie was in the works with Cameron Diaz and Kate Holiday is getting a TV series — but Nancy Meyers doesn't sound too happy about it. The filmmaker, who wrote and directed the 2006 Christmas rom-com of the same name, reacted to the announcement that Apple TV+ is adapting her movie into a limited series. "News to me," Meyers wrote in an Instagram Story atop a screenshot of a Hollywood Reporter post about the TV show. "Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw. 🤔" The Holiday limited series on Apple TV+ will be written and executive produced by Krissie Ducker (Sweetpea) and will see input from Rob Delaney (Catastrophe) as a consultant, Entertainment Weekly has learned. Deadline first reported the news, noting that Meyers has no involvement in the project, and that well-known actresses are being considered for the lead roles. Meyers' The Holiday starred Cameron Diaz as a workaholic movie trailer editor in Los Angeles and Kate Winslet as a London journalist pining after her ex-slash-coworker. The two women spontaneously decide to do a house swap and each fall in love with a local across the pond. Diaz is paired up with Jude Law, who played Winslet's character's brother, while Winslet couples with Jack Black, a charismatic musician. The original Holiday grossed over $200 million at the global box office, making it Meyers' fourth-biggest hit as a director (behind What Women Want, Something's Gotta Give, and It's Complicated). The Holiday has maintained a sizable following since its original release, as its Christmastime setting has inspired consistent wintertime rewatches among rom-com fans. However, despite the film's continued popularity, Meyers confirmed that she has no plans to revisit the movie in 2022. The filmmaker shot down rumors that Diaz and Winslet had boarded a sequel in an Instagram post. "So many DM's about this. Sorry but it's not true," Meyers wrote in a caption of a Daily Mail screenshot claiming that the original cast would return for a sequel. The director also recently revealed that she didn't expect the film to become a Christmas classic. "I never thought it would be, you know, a movie that you watched during the holidays.... Didn't think of it that way," she told the Hollywood Gold podcast. "I just really wanted to tell the story about these people. I set it at Christmas because that can be lonely. As I noted to myself last night while I was watching, they're all damaged."Meyers has not directed a film since 2015's The Intern. She attempted to helm a new project, tentatively titled Paris Paramount, for Netflix, but the project stalled after disagreements on the budget. Scarlett Johansson, Owen Wilson, Penélope Cruz, and Michael Fassbender were all reportedly in talks to star in the film. Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly

The Gilded Age Season 4: Cast, Release Date, and Latest News
Karolina Wojtasik/HBO The Gilded Age is hitting its stride in season three, so why not go for the gold? On July 28, the head of HBO's drama series and films department confirmed the fourth season while praising Downton Abbey's Julian Fellowes for creating another prime example of ''can't-miss it' entertainment," this time set in 1880s New York and starring the likes of Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Audra McDonald, and Cynthia Nixon. According to Variety, The Gilded Age continues to break its own viewership records—and fans aren't the only ones on the edge of their seats. "We're delighted to continue exploring these characters' grand ambitions for what we promise will be a thrilling fourth season,' HBO's Francesca Orsi said in their statement. As we patiently await the season three finale, here's everything we know about The Gilded Age season four. When will The Gilded Age season four air? No timeline has been announced as we're still deep in the throes of season three, which will come to a close on August 10. While the first two seasons aired in fall-winter months of 2022 and 2023, season three began airing in June 2025. It's possible HBO will try to capitalize on this season's viewership success by sticking to a summer release, depending on the production schedule. Who will star in season four? Of course, there's no word yet on who will or will not be returning. The Gilded Age currently stars a host of legendary actors, from those previously mentioned to Donna Murphy and Debra Monk. Season three also introduced Phylicia Rashad as Brian Stokes, who will hopefully continue to grace our screens in season four as Elizabeth and Frederick Kirkland. As for the younger generation of actors, Meryl Streep's youngest daughter Louisa Jacobson continues to portray Marian Brook, the orphaned niece of Ada Forte (Nixon) and Agnes van Rhijn (Baranski). Denée Benton plays Peggy Scott, the daughter of Audra McDonald's Dorothy Scott. New Here How *The Gilded Age*'s Denée Benton Made Sure Peggy Scott's Story Was Told Right The Broadway vet opens up about changes she advocated for on the set of the new HBO series. The rest of the cast includes Morgan Spector, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Blake Ritson, Ben Ahlers, Ashlie Atkinson, Dylan Baker, Kate Baldwin, Victoria Clark, John Ellison Conlee, Michael Cumpsty, Kelley Curran, Jordan Donica, Jessica Frances Dukes, Claybourne Elder, Amy Forsyth, Jack Gilpin, LisaGay Hamilton, Ward Horton, Simon Jones, Sullivan Jones, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Ben Lamb, Nathan Lane, Andrea Martin, Hattie Morahan, Kristine Nielsen, Paul Alexander Nolan, Kelli O'Hara, Patrick Page, Rachel Pickup, Taylor Richardson, Douglas Sills, Bobby Steggert, Erin Wilhelmi, John Douglas Thompson, Leslie Uggams, Merritt Wever, and Bill Camp. Wait, wait, wait…don't skip past Gladys Russell so fast! Of course, one of the biggest shocks of season three centered around Gladys Russell (Taissa Farmiga), who was married off to the Duke of Buckingham (Ben Lamb) by her mother, Bertha (Carrie Coon) and father George (Morgan Spector). This left fans devastated for Gladys, who was betrayed and abandoned by everyone meant to care for her, including the man she wanted to marry for love, Billy Carlton (Matt Walker). That left Bertha and Gladys on very shaky ground, though the mother-daughter duo later joined forces to assert the new duchess' dominance over Sidmouth Castle. Still, how much of season four can possibly take place in England? It's not like we've seen much of Daphne Bridgerton since she married her Duke at the end of Bridgerton season they didn't even leave the continent! For now, we'll just have to wait and see how the rest of season three shakes out. The Gilded Age season three finale airs on August 10 at 9:00 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max. This post will be updated from there. Entertainment Carrie Coon Is in Her Gilded Age Hot off the buzzy third season of *The White Lotus,* Coon returns to the screen as Bertha Russell in *The Gilded Age.* Originally Appeared on Glamour

Lego's August Releases Are Going Merry
Lego usually has quiet months and big months in terms of releases, but by far and away the two most important times of the year for Lego—and most threatening for your wallet as a Lego fan—are the start of it in January and the height of summer in August. The latter is finally here, and Lego has a lot of options for if you want to beat the heat by staying inside and building bricks. A lot of options. With dozens upon dozens upon dozens of new sets arriving today, it's hard to really break down particular highlights, with almost every major Lego line getting at least a couple of releases, alongside stalwarts like Marvel and Star Wars getting massive new waves. There are even a few entirely new lines making their debut amid the mania too, like the highly anticipated arrival of Lego One Piece, inspired by the Netflix adaptation. Check out all those, and more, in our roundup of the most interesting sets arriving this month! Lego has a few Technic sets out this month, but the standout in our genre-nerd eyes has to be this amazing rover set, inspired by the fabled Lego Space line. The kit comes with a primary moon rover, as well as smaller builds for a mining rover and MAPP rover, and some moon rocks they can collect into a sample container. ($100, available here). The multibuild creator sets are always an opportunity to sneak in some nods to other Lego lines, and August's offerings include a pretty fun new Lego Castle set for any medieval fantasy fans (introducing a new faction) and a cutie-spooky Monster Fighters homage in the Haunted Mansion. But then, consider this! There is also Beautiful Horse. Its beauty is, perhaps, in the eye of the beholder. Inspired by the first season of the Netflix live-action adaptation of the seminal anime and manga, Lego is going all out for the debut of One Piece as a line, right in time for the excitement around season two. From small sets to massive adult-focused kits like the Baratie, there's something for every fan of the show here—but of course the highlight has to be the Going Merry, which comes with the complete (up to this point in the series) Straw Hat crew in one place. Speaking of Netflix shows gearing up for season two! Just in time for the first volume of Wednesday's return to hit the streamer next week, Lego has concocted a buildable black dahlia flower, complete with minidolls of Wednesday and Professor Thornhill. ($28, available here). It's a big Spider-Man wave for Lego Marvel in August, but there are some more Avenging sets around, like sets inspired by Iron Man 2 and Endgame. That doesn't stop the webslinger from taking the prize, though, in the form of a subway train set inspired by the classic one Lego released for Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2. The Mario line has been on a bit of a karting kick lately, and August is no exception. But not every set is about that kart life: we get a couple of fun Toad buildable sets, including one inspired by Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. The first Decepticon to join the Lego Transformers line, Soundwave can transform between robot and cassette player mode and comes with buildable (and similarly transforming) Ravage and Laserbeak minions that can sit in his tape deck. He even plays sounds from a special brick built into his torso unit! ($190, available here) Away from the glow of the movie release, things are back to normal for Lego Minecraft, which offers a special piece of gaming advice this month: maybe don't build your house out of TNT. It's a very big and very expensive month for Star Wars fans with an eclectic mix of sets on offer—from a tease of the next Lego Star Wars animated adventure to a new UCS AT-ST and even some buildable characters in the form of K-2SO and Wicket. This cute gaming model replicates a classic arcade machine, which in itself hides a little gamer cave for the included minifigure to hang out in. ($40, available here). There are still a few more villagers and locales Nintendo and Lego can add to your islands this month, including Blathers' museum! Metal Sonic strikes in the handful of Sonic sets we get this month, which splits Knuckles, Sonic, and Tails across two different villainous battles. Cultural reappraisals aside, one thing that's always been beloved about Batman Forever is its slick Batmobile, which Lego is wonderfully recreating in this new display model—complete with a minifigure Batman inspired by the film's Sonar Batsuit. ($100, available here). Want more io9 news? Check out when to expect the latest Marvel, Star Wars, and Star Trek releases, what's next for the DC Universe on film and TV, and everything you need to know about the future of Doctor Who.
