Enzo Temmerman wins Open Pro Sport Moto 1 at Loretta Lynn's National

NBC Sports2 days ago
For the second consecutive race, Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green's Enzo Temmerman and Diesel Thomas battled at the start of a moto, with Temmerman emerging victorious over Landen Gordon in Moto 1 of the Open Pro Sports division of the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National.
As with Temmerman's 250 Pro Sport victory on Tuesday, the key to success was early speed. He won the holeshot, momentarily lost the lead to Diesel Thomas, and then posted the fastest overall lap during his third trip around the circuit to amass a nine-second lead over Thomas. Once in the lead, he settled into a comfortable pace and let the drama unfold behind him.
Dan Beaver,
Gordon overcame a modest start that saw him fifth at the end of Lap 1, climbing to third on Lap 5 and assuming the runner-up position on Lap 10.
Gordon maintained Temmerman's pace and took the checkered flag 8.4 seconds behind his teammate.
Altus Motorsports BLU CRU Yamaha's Kade Johnson was fourth, followed by Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Landon Gibson in fifth.
Moto 2 for Open Pro Sport is scheduled for Thursday.

SuperMotocross, Monster Energy extend sponsorship through 2030, includes playoffs

Monster Energy has renewed its agreement with Feld Motor Sports' American Motorcycle Association (AMA) Supercross Championship for an additional five years, running through 2030. In addition, they will become the title sponsor of the entire SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) series. According to Adam Stern, the deal is in the mid-eight-figure range in total revenue for the league during the contracted period. Beginning in 2007, Monster Energy and Supercross will have a 24-year history, making it one of the longest-running relationships in the energy drink brand's history, according to Mitch Covington, Senior Vice President of Sports Marketing at Monster Energy. The SMX League combines points from Supercross and the AMA Pro Motocross series, encompassing 28 regular-season rounds of competition. The three-round playoffs bring the total to 31 rounds. Negotiations for the extension were held between the two companies, with Feld Motor Sports VP/Global Partnerships Dave Muye leading the effort for the series. During the 2025 Supercross season, 828,796 spectators attended events, including more than 329,000 who participated in the popular pre-race FanFest activities, where companies like Monster Energy had the opportunity to engage directly with fans. Also in 2025, the Supercross series accounted for eight of the 10 most-streamed races ever on NBC Sports' streaming service, Peacock TV. Lachlan Turner sweeps first two races in Women's Loretta Lynn's division with Moto 2 win

Altus Motorsports BLU CRU Yamaha's Lachlan Turner maintained her supremacy of the Women's division on Thursday with another convincing win over Kyleigh Stallings on Day 3 of the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. A strong start was the key to Turner's Moto 1 win on Wednesday, and she duplicated that feat on Thursday, leading from the drop of the gate until the checkered flag. Turner's dominance is underscored by her fastest lap of the moto of 2:00.135, which was set on the second lap. That was nearly four seconds faster than the next fastest lap of 2:04.010 by Jordon Jarvis. Dan Beaver, Turner's victory over Stallings was by 21.397 seconds with speed differentials of up to five seconds during the nine-lap race. The gap would have been much greater overall if not for a tip-over by Turner that cost 10 seconds as she remounted the Yamaha. Turner is also competing in the mostly-male 250 B Limited division, where she finished among the top 20. Turner was 16th in Moto 2 there and 29th in Moto 1. Jarvis finished third for the second consecutive moto. In fact, the top four duplicated Wednesday's race with Mayla Herrick coming home fourth in Moto 2. Lilly-Ann Pettus improved from sixth in Moto 1 to round out the top five. Despite winning the first two motos, Turner cannot relax. Stallings has kept herself in contention with back-to-back runner-up finishes that puts her only two points out of the divisional lead. done her part with back-to-back runner-ups to sit just two points behind. Landen Gordon ends Enzo Temmerman's streak with Open Pro Sport Moto 2 win

Enzo Temmerman entered the Open Pro Sport Moto 2 with a perfect record of three wins in three starts across two divisions, but his reign came to an end at the hands of his Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green teammate Landen Gordon, who won his first race on Day 3 of the 2025 Loretta Lynn's Amateur National. Known generally for his ability to secure strong starts, Gordon has needed to overcome modest launches in the first two days of the National. That changed on Thursday as Gordon got a solid jump off the gate and recorded his fastest laps early. Leading Cole Forbes during the first two laps, Gordon developed a 10-second gap over the field when that rider experienced problems on Lap 3 and fell to sixth. Forbes would eventually finish eighth in the moto. Dan Beaver, Kade Johnson made his way into second place with Forbes' incident, but was forced to relinquish the position one lap later to Temmerman. Johnson gradually lost contact with Temmerman and finished third. As for the winner of the Open Pro Sport Moto 1, both races in the 250 Pro Sport division, Temmerman had an uncharacteristically poor start in seventh. Passing two riders in each of the next two laps, he quickly moved into podium consideration, but was 11.6 seconds off the pace by the time he achieved second. Temmerman settled into a matching pace with Gordon and finished 10.7 behind the leader. Gordon's 2-1 and Temmerman's 1-2 mean that the third moto on Saturday will be a winner-take-all affair. Johnson was never challenged for his third-place finish, ahead of Husqvarna's Heath Harrison in fourth. Diesel Thomas rounded out the top five in fifth. 250 Pro Sport Moto 2 Results Landen Gordon, Atascadero, Calif., Kawasaki Enzo Temmerman, Visalia, Calif., Kawasaki Kade Johnson, Hideaway, Texas, Yamaha Heath Harrison, Silverhill, Ala., Husqvarna Diesel Thomas, Raymond, Neb., Husqvarna Landon Hartz, Wilsonville, Ala., Yamaha Jacob Baumert, Heartland, Texas, Yamaha Cole Forbes, Richmond, Va., KTM Klark Robbins, Shamong, NJ, GasGas Luke Fauser, Midland, Penn., KTM Loretta Lynn's News Three for Temmerman, Enzo scores third win in 250 Pro Sport Moto 2 Enzo Temmerman wins Open Pro Sport Moto 1 at Loretta's WMX leader, Lachlan Turner, wins first Women's moto Enzo Temmerman Lorretta's 250 Pro Sports Moto 1 Loretta's Lap-a-Thon Benefitting St. Jude returns for 2025 More SuperMotocross News Roger De Coster retires as US MXoN manager KTM AG returns to full production Motocross of Nations to return to U.S. in 2028, 2031 Washougal 450 Results | 250 Results Jo Shimoda earns second Motocross win of 2025 at Washougal Chase Sexton beats Jett Lawrence at Washougal Haiden Deegan wins Washougal Moto 1 over Jo Shimoda Chase Sexton wins Washougal Moto 1, Jett Lawrence third Jason Anderson out for remainder of 2025 SMX season
