Modern Family Star Ty Burrell's Quiet Life Outside LA
Ty, 57, left Los Angeles with his wife, Holly Burrell, and their daughters, Frances and Greta, back in 2020.
The family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, and Ty recently opened up about how he's been coping. 'It's just been spectacular,' he told People on August 3. 'We moved here right after [Modern Family] ended, and I don't have any regrets. It's been lovely and a great place to raise the kids.'
Ty went on to admit that his new 'outdoorsy' lifestyle took a bit of getting used to.
'My parents weren't really those kinds of people,' he explained. 'So at first, when we moved here, it almost felt like cosplay, like we were pretending to be people who were outdoorsy, and now we really truly love it.'
Interestingly, Ty's onscreen daughter Ariel Winter — who played Alex Dunphy — has also talked openly about leaving LA after the sitcom ended.
Ariel, who now lives in Tennessee, admitted last year, 'I don't think LA was ever really my vibe, but I just was nervous.'
