Toronto, which had 17 shot attempts compared to 11 for Halifax, finished with four on-target shots in its fifth consecutive victory. The visitors improved to eight wins, three losses and one draw for 25 points.
The Tides, who also had four on-target shots, received two of the match's four yellow cards and slipped to three wins, seven losses and one draw for 10 points.
Toronto goalkeeper Sofia Manner recorded the clean sheet.
AFC Toronto hosts the Montreal Roses on Friday, while Halifax remains home to play Vancouver Rise on Saturday.

Opponents won't be determined until later this year. To secure admission to one of the nine games not featuring Team Canada and for which the teams are yet to be determined, it will depend on when and where you want to watch.
