Meet Ajay Devgn's sister-in-law who played Sita on TV, people worshiped her on streets, one lie ruined everything, where is she now? her name is…
If we talk about any film family in Bollywood, then after the Kapoor family, Kajol's family has also always been in the news. Kajol's parents, aunt, cousin, grandmother, and even her great-grandmother have been associated with the film industry. While some stars in this family still shine, there are some who were in the news at one time but slowly went into oblivion. One of them is Kajol's cousin Shilpa Mukherji, who once won the hearts of the audience by playing the role of Maa Sita on TV. Her popularity had increased to such an extent that people started worshipping her. Meet the actress who became popular after playing 'Sita'. Who is she? Shilpa Mukherji is the daughter of Kajol's aunt Chatura Mukherji. She was an actress and got recognition from the famous TV serial 'Jai Hanuman', in which she played the role of Maa Sita. This show became very popular in the 90s, and Shilpa's innocence, emotional expression, and simplicity in it made her famous in every household. Just like people started giving the status of Maa Sita to Deepika Chikhalia of 'Ramayana', something similar happened with Shilpa Mukherji. Wherever she went, people started looking at her with reverence. Expected Bollywood debut, but the opposite happened Seeing Shilpa's popularity, filmmaker Sawan Kumar Tak decided to launch her in Bollywood. He was making a film named 'Mother', in which Rekha was in the lead role. Sawan Kumar Tak signed Shilpa for this film, and her name was changed to 'Jeena Mukherji'. It seemed that Shilpa's film career was now going to reach new heights, but fate had something else in store. According to IMDb, Shilpa hid from Sawan Kumar Tak that she had previously played the role of 'Maa Sita' on TV. When the director came to know about this, he got angry. He felt that hiding this fact was a big mistake. Why did Shilpa disappear from the cinema? As a result, Shilpa was removed from the film and Sanobar Kabir was cast in her place. The film released in 1999, in which Rekha played a strong but controversial character. After being out of films, Shilpa Mukherji distanced herself from the camera, but she did not let herself completely lose herself in anonymity. Today, Shilpa is a life navigation coach, certified counselor and tarot card reader, as per her LinkedIn profile. She now guides people mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Apart from this, she now also does professional photography. Who is in the family? Kajol's family is counted among the big families of Bollywood. Her mother, Tanuja, has been a well-known actress, while her grandmother, Shobhana Samarth, and great-grandmother have also been associated with films. Kajol's cousins Rani Mukherji and Sharbani Mukherji are also actresses. Ayan Mukherji is a well-known director who has made films like 'Wake Up Sid' and 'Brahmastra'. Kajol's cousin, Mohnish Bahl, and uncle Deb Mukherji have also been a part of the film world.

Zee TV's most popular show, Kumkum Bhagya, is reportedly going off air next month. Kumkum Bhagya started in 2014 with Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia as the main leads, and after multiple leaps and story changes, the show currently stars Pranali Rathod and Namik Paul as the fourth generation. But now, reports indicate that the makers have decided to end the show, considering poor TRPs. A source close to the development told IWMBUZZ, 'Kumkum Bhagya, which presently has Pranali Rathod, Namik Paul, and Akshay Bindra as the fourth-generation leads in the show, will soon go off air. The decision, apparently, has been made to end the long-running show. The show has been struggling with a drop in TRPs for some time now." While the officials are yet to confirm this news of the show going off air, it has been claimed in the report that the last episode of the family drama will air on September 7, 2025, marking the end of an 11-year journey of entertaining generations. Kumkum Bhagya began with Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia in the lead, followed by a generation leap that brought in Krishna Kaul and Mugdha Chaphekar. Later, Abrar Qazi and Rachi Sharma took over as leads, and currently, Pranali Rathod and Namik Paul headline the show.
