Stevie Nicks Collab Confirmed By Rock Trio Haim
Stevie Nicks is officially working on a song with Haim. The Fleetwood Mac legend's rumored musical collaboration with singing sisters Alana, Este, and Danielle Haim was confirmed when the rock trio appeared on Watch What Happens Live on June 24. After a fan called in to ask what Haim could share about possibly working with Nicks, Alana replied, 'We can't say much, but what we can say is that Stevie Nicks is the greatest human being on this planet.' Her sister Danielle added, 'And the song is really good.' Host Andy Cohen then asked if the mysterious song appears on Haim's newly released fourth album, I Quit. 'It is not [on the album],' Alana said. 'It's for something.' After Este Haim chimed in to say,'Sorry to be so cryptic,' Cohen asked if the new music was for a movie and joked, 'The Smurfs movie?' Nicks previously teased a collaboration with the Los Angeles rock trio, although she gave no hints as to when and where it would appear. In an interview with GQ, the 77-year-old songstress gushed about the sisters' music and how much it reminded her of the early days with her own California rock band. 'It starts with Danielle's voice – it is just stunning,' Nicks told the outlet of Haim's music. 'She's the first part of the puzzle, but then the percussion that Este and Alana wrap around her turn all of their songs into percussive masterpieces.' 'They could certainly all have been in Fleetwood Mac,' Nicks added. Fleetwood Mac Celebrate 50th Anniversary of Iconic 1st Album With Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham
It's been 50 years since the revamped Fleetwood Mac released their iconic 'White Album.' The self-titled album was released on July 11, 1975, and not only did it announce the rebirth of the band originally founded by Mick Fleetwood and Peter Green in 1967, but it also introduced the world to powerful songwriting duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. The band's 10th studio album, simply titled Fleetwood Mac, featured Fleetwood, Buckingham, Nicks, and John and Christine McVie. It took more than a year, but the album became a Billboard No. 1 in September 1976, spawned by a ton of touring and the singles 'Rhiannon,' "Over My Head," and "Say You Love Me.' 'We just played everywhere, and we sold that record," Nicks told Uncut, per Ultimate Classic Rock. "We kicked that album in the a--.' In a 1981 interview with The Source, Nicks revealed that she was hesitant to include the song "Crystal' on the Fleetwood Mac album, as she had previously recorded it for the 1973 album Buckingham Nicks with her then-boyfriend. 'John McVie wanted to put that on the Fleetwood Mac album the first time he heard it. He said 'I want this on the album,'' she recalled. 'And I didn't really because it took the place of a new song. Since I write so much, it's I don't need to keep putting old songs that take places of new songs, which means those new songs are backlogged for the next and for the next and for the next. But he was insistent.' Nicks noted that she agreed to include the song after Christine McVie performed a gorgeous piano piece for the ending. Fifty years later, there is little chance of the band performing together again. Christine McVie died in 2022, and Nicks and Buckingham are estranged after years of difficulties. 'I always have a fantasy that [Stevie] and Lindsay would pal up a bit more and just say everything's OK for them both,' Fleetwood, 78, told Us Weekly in 2024. 'But we've had such an incredible career.' In honor of the 50th anniversary of the white album, Fleetwood Mac has released a limited edition picture disc. Fleetwood Mac Almost Lands A Second Diamond-Certified Album

That makes sense, as it's not only the bestselling title in the British-American group's catalog, but also one of the most successful full-lengths of all time. While Rumours may never be replaced as Fleetwood Mac's top seller, that blockbuster could soon be joined by another popular beauty in diamond territory. Fleetwood Mac's Self-Titled Album Nears Diamond Status Fleetwood Mac's self-titled album was recently awarded two new platinum certifications by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). The set advanced from seven-times platinum to nine-times platinum, collecting its first new wins from the music industry organization in almost seven years. Now that it's certified nine-times platinum, Fleetwood Mac has shifted at least nine million equivalent units in the United States alone. That sum is made up of both traditional sales and streaming activity, which the RIAA adopted into its methodology some years ago to better reflect current consumption patterns. It's likely that in the coming years, the self-titled project will become a diamond seller once it hits 10 million equivalent units moved. Rumours Remains Fleetwood Mac's Biggest Release Rumours is still far and away Fleetwood Mac's highest-certified project. In fact, it has moved more than twice as many equivalent copies as the Fleetwood Mac album. In July 2023, the Grammy winner for Album of the Year was certified 21-times platinum, making it one of only a handful of double diamond releases. Greatest Hits Once Outpaced the Band's Self-Titled Project Before Fleetwood Mac's latest certifications were announced, the Fleetwood Mac album ranked behind Greatest Hits on the band's list of top-certified releases. That compilation went eight-times platinum, though it hasn't earned any new awards from the RIAA in a quarter-century. That singles-packed project moved from four-times platinum to eight-times platinum in March 2000, doubling its total. There's a good chance that at some point, it too will become a diamond-certified release. Perhaps it has already surpassed 10 million equivalent units, though the RIAA has not yet certified that figure.
