Trump's former communication director says president has only apologized once in 20 years
Scaramucci, who in 2017 served just 11 days in the Trump administration, made the revelation during a live taping of The Rest is Politics U.S. at London's O2 Arena on Wednesday.
After rifling through the president's perceived hits and misses, an audience member asked 'The Mooch' and his co-host, MSNBC contributor Katty Kay, the most embarrassing thing they have seen the president do.
'The most embarrassing thing I saw him do, which was one of the things he did not want to do, is apologize to Melania,' the former financier said.
The incident, which took place in October 2016, just months before Scaramucci joined Trump's transition team, was the only time in 20 years of knowing him that he could recall the president ever apologizing.
'I can tell you the exact day he did it. He did it at 11.50 p.m., and he did it on October 7, 2016,' he continued.
'And why is that? At 4 p.m. that day, they released the Access Hollywood tape where he was on the bus with Billy Bush, saying things that were wholly inappropriate. They were all panicked and Trump was embarrassed by it.'
The interview tape featured Trump bragging in vulgar terms to Bush about his ability to grope and have sex with women when he pleases. It was leaked just one month before the 2016 presidential election, which saw him defeat Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton at the ballot box.
'I made a move on her, and I failed. I'll admit it. I did try and f*** her… I moved on her like a b****. She was married,' Trump could be heard saying in the 2005 conversation, which was caught on a hot microphone.
'You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful... I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait,' he continued. 'And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab 'em by the p***y. You can do anything.'
The leaked recording prompted an immediate frenzy, and a day later, his wife Melania Trump told Fox News that 'he apologized to me' for his 'offensive' and 'inappropriate 'remarks.'
Scaramucci noted another time when the president 'apologized.'
'He apologized to Melania Trump, and he was very embarrassed while he was doing it,' he said.
'And he apologized to the original Pocahontas for calling Elizabeth Warren Pocahontas,' he continued, citing Trump's nickname for the Democratic senator that some critics say amounts to a racial slur. 'He felt that was unfair to the original.'
The president has been both celebrated and ridiculed for his political mantra: "Don't apologize for anything, ever."
While on the campaign trail in 2015, Trump told late-night show host Jimmy Fallon, 'Apologizing is a great thing, but you have to be wrong.'
A decade later, he regularly touts his omniscience in speeches and on social media and even hawks 'TRUMP WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING!' merchandise in his store.

'@POTUS made clear that his administration will hold accountable foreign nationals who are responsible for censorship of protected expression in the United States,' Rubio wrote on social media. Trump and his social media company, The Trump Media & Technology Group, sued de Moraes in February, accusing him of censoring conservatives on social media. Rubio's announcement came shortly after authorities in Brazil raided Bolsonaro's house and outfitted him with an ankle monitor. He has also been banned from contacting foreign officials. Rubio made clear his actions were in response to Brazil's moves to hold Bolsonaro accountable. 'Brazilian Supreme Federal Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes's political witch hunt against Jair Bolsonaro created a persecution and censorship complex so sweeping that it not only violates basic rights of Brazilians, but also extends beyond Brazil's shores to target Americans,' Rubio said. Bolsonaro himself has echoed Trump's favorite line when defending himself; he called his trial a "witch hunt." Trump has gone so far as to threaten anti-Bolsonaro Brazilians by threatening to levy a 50 percent tariff against the nation. Brazil's president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva — a leftist who defeated Bolsonaro in 2022 — condemned the Trump administration's targeting of Brazilian judges. "My solidarity and support to the ministers of the Supreme Federal Court affected by yet another arbitrary and completely baseless measure by the United States government," the Brazilian president wrote in a translated social media post. He further condemned the "interference by one country in another's justice system" as "unacceptable" and in violation of "the basic principles of respect and sovereignty between nations."

Epstein accuser claims she met Trump in disgraced financier's office in ‘troubling encounter'
One of Jeffrey Epstein's accusers claimed she met Donald Trump in the convicted pedophile 's New York office in what was described as a 'troubling encounter,' according to a report. Artist Maria Farmer said she urged the FBI to look into people in the disgraced financier's social circle, including the president, after the alleged encounter in the 90s, she told The New York Times. Farmer and her younger sister Annie, who testified at Ghislaine Maxwell's 2021 sex trafficking trial, have spoken publicly about their ordeal with Epstein before. But her account now sheds light on how the Epstein files could contain material that is 'embarrassing or politically problematic' to the president, the Times reports. Farmer's account is among 'the clearest indications yet' of how Trump may appear in the Epstein files, the Times notes, though the White House disputed the alleged encounter. 'The president was never in [Epstein's] office,' said White House communications director Steven Cheung. 'The fact is that the president kicked him out of his club for being a creep.' It follows a turbulent few weeks for the Trump administration after MAGA outrage over the Epstein files boiled over last week. Despite campaigning on a promise to release the files, Trump's Justice Department announced in July that no further evidence in the case would be released, unleashing turmoil among the president's MAGA supporter base. The president last week agreed to release select grand jury testimony of the case, which experts say is unlikely to produce much, if anything, to satisfy the public's appetite for new information about Epstein's crimes. Farmer said that 'she recalled feeling scared as Mr. Trump stared at her bare legs,' the newspaper reported. 'Then Mr. Epstein entered the room, and she recalled him saying to Mr. Trump: 'No, no. She's not here for you.'' Epstein and Trump then left the room, according to Farmer, and she claimed she heard Trump comment that he thought she was 16 years old. The White House disputed Farmer's account. After the encounter, Farmer said she had no other 'alarming' interactions with Trump, nor did she witness him engage in inappropriate conduct with any other girls or women. Farmer filed a lawsuit at the end of May alleging that the federal government failed to protect her and other victims of the convicted pedophile and his madam, Ghislaine Maxwell. Farmer told the Times that she has long wondered how her complaints about Epstein between 1996 and 2006 were handled by law enforcement agencies. She told the newspaper that she raised Trump's name with authorities on two occasions because of the alleged encounter and 'because he seemed so close' to Epstein. Trump has never been accused of any wrongdoing in the Epstein case. Farmer, who did not testify at Maxwell's trial, was sexually assaulted by Epstein and his madam at his Ohio estate in 1996. Farmer later learned that her younger sister Annie, then 16, was molested by Maxwell and Epstein at his New Mexico ranch that same year. When Farmer discovered her sister had also been assaulted by Epstein and Maxwell, she reported the sex offender to the FBI. 'There is certainly more to know,' Annie Farmer told The Independent in an interview last year. 'I don't know whether we will ever learn more about that but I don't think we know everything.' The president has sought to distance himself from the sex offender, with whom he had a friendship from the late 80s until the early 2000s. Last week, the Wall Street Journal published the text of a note that was allegedly penned by Trump to Epstein as part of a 50th birthday card. The note itself was framed with the silhouette of a naked woman, with the contents alluding to a 'secret' that Trump wrote the two men shared.

During their promotion of the comedy — which first hit screens in 1988, starring Leslie Nielsen — the actress took snaps of the smartly suited actor's crotch, while he pretended to photograph her as she giggled on the floor. The off-screen chemistry went further with Liam planting a gentle kiss on the side of Pamela's head as he held her waist. Liam also joked that his favourite part of making The Naked Gun, which opens on August 1, was 'the sex scenes', which the pair were given an intimacy co-ordinator for. Liam added: 'I'd never had one before. But she was in the background. There was no kind of, 'OK! Excuse me!'. He was surprised to be offered the role by producer Seth MacFarlane, whose credits include Ted and Family Guy. Liam said: 'I didn't think I was funny, far from it. But I really enjoyed those Leslie Nielsen movies. We have a connection. I'll follow him anywhere Pammi on Liam 'When Seth pitched the idea, I thought maybe he saw something in me.' Pamela has done comedy, such as Blonde And Blonder in 2008, but had recently become more famous for her animal rights activism than acting. When Liam saw her audition tape he felt certain she was the right person to take over from Priscilla Presley as The Naked Gun sidekick. He said: 'It was a no-brainer.' And once they got on set, that appreciation grew and grew. Liam continued: 'She's just terrific to work with. 'I can't compliment her enough. 'No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She's funny and so easy to work with. She's going to be terrific in the film.' Pamela is equally complimentary about her 6ft 4in co-star. She said: 'He brings out the best in you with respect, kindness and depth of experience. It was an absolute honour to work with him.' Pamela, who has two sons, Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 27, with her ex-husband Tommy Lee, said Liam was 'the perfect gentleman' who 'wrapped his coat around me when I was cold'. Fans will get the chance to see how strong their chemistry is when the movie comes out in less than two weeks. If it is a hit, a sequel to this remake is sure to follow.
