Employee details ordeal of manager 'shamelessly' asking for money despite repeated refusals
A Reddit post has drawn attention to a disturbing trend in the corporate workspace, where a senior manager has been persistently asking a team member for money, despite multiple refusals. The post, titled "My manager keeps asking me to lend money", has sparked widespread discussion among users, with many condemning the manager's behaviour and calling for appropriate action. Redditors reacted strongly after a user exposed their manager's repeated money requests.(Representational image/Unsplash) In the post shared by Reddit user @GlitteringBug25, the employee recounted their ordeal, explaining that they have been working in a service-based company on the same project for over four and a half years. The same manager has been supervising the project since day one. (Also read: Toxic boss demands injured employee to return to work by Friday: 'I can give you a chair') 'I joined as a fresher. He knows my salary and often says that my salary is the highest among my offshore team members including my TL. I graduated from a top-tier college, so my starting package was high,' the user wrote. The situation escalated when the manager began asking for money. 'He asked for 25k and then 15k. I straight away refused. But now he keeps asking me every month,' the user added. Just a week ago, the manager demanded ₹ 17,000. 'I told him I didn't have money even though I had it. Yesterday he called me and directly told me he is sending a QR code and that I should send him ₹ 2,000 through it. He didn't even bother asking if I was okay.' The employee expressed frustration: 'I'm getting fed up of refusing each and every time. He shamelessly keeps asking even though I had refused him just a few days back.' Check out the post here: Internet reacts The post has triggered concern and strong reactions from fellow Reddit users, many of whom advised taking the issue to the Human Resources (HR) department. One commenter sarcastically remarked, 'The only thing left in Indian corporate now is the manager asking for a bribe for giving good reviews.' Another urged, 'Stop sending and escalate to HR.' (Also read: 'Why do Indian hiring managers think they're God?': Candidate shares bitter Bengaluru job interview) Others shared tactics to discourage the behaviour. 'One day ask him for ₹ 50k claiming a serious emergency. Then see how fast he stops asking you,' one user advised. Another said, 'Lent money never comes back. Tell him your parents handle your finances, or that you're paying off loans—just avoid giving him your Form 16.' A more serious concern came from a commenter warning, 'Do not lend him money at any cost! Plus, file a complaint with HR and save all communications. This might be a trap to build a case against you.'

Criminal cases will be registered against Mathavallis: Abdul Aziz
Nellore: WaQF Board Chairman Sheikh Abdul Aziz reaffirmed the coalition government's commitment to protecting Waqf Board properties, warning that criminal cases will be filed against board members (Mutawallis) found responsible for illegally selling Waqf properties. Speaking at a press conference in Vijayawada on Saturday, Aziz announced that an ongoing inquiry into the sale of Waqf properties will lead to strict action against guilty members. 'Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is resolute about safeguarding Waqf properties, and there will be no compromise,' he stated. Aziz highlighted that the Central government halted funding to the Waqf Board due to the previous YSRCP government's failure to submit utilisation certificates for Rs 386 crore. He noted that the issue has been raised with Chief Minister Naidu, who is addressing it with the Central government. The Chairman announced the formation of a Rent Review Committee (RRC) to manage rents from approximately 1,300 Waqf Board shops. To address issues like property sales and rent disputes, future Waqf Board meetings will be held across all districts, moving away from the earlier practice of convening only in Vijayawada. Aziz also revealed that the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) applied to establish an MSME Park at Mallayapalem village in Guntur mandal. The Waqf Board decided to lease the land long-term to APIIC instead of permanently transferring it. Additionally, Rs 1.5 crore has been allocated for the development of Barashahid Dargah in Vijayawada, with further funds designated for the development of Kasumur and AS Pet Dargahs. Waqf Board Director SK Nasir stated that rental income will support the education of underprivileged Muslim students, their marriages, and the state government's P-4 initiative.

Russia making air defence system that destroyed Pakistani drones and missiles during Operation Sindoor even more powerful, India will...
New Delhi: Russia has started serial production of mini missiles for the Pantsir air defence system. This is one of those defence systems that destroyed Pakistani drones in the sky during Operation Sindoor. What is Pantsir capable of? This system is capable of shooting down dozens of drones at once. Apart from this, it can also shoot down other low flying objects like helicopters and spy balloons. Russia has also used this defence system extensively during the Ukraine war. Apart from this, Russia has also exported it to at least 10 countries other than India. What does media say about Pantsir? According to the report of Russian state media Sputnik, Russian state corporation Rostec said, 'The mini missiles of the Pantsir air defense missile system of our High-Precision Systems Holding Company have passed all their tests in different regions of the country and have now been sent for serial production.' Rostec said that these mini missiles can easily shoot down enemy mini swarm drones. Many drones can be destroyed in one attack. Rostec said in its statement, 'Now one Pantsir-SMD-E can destroy dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles.' How it performed in Ukraine Rostec has said that mini missiles for the Pantsir system were used for the first time in the war against Ukraine. During this time, this system has destroyed targets with accuracy. Russia has been calling the Ukraine war a special military operation since the beginning. In such a situation, the inclusion of mini missiles in the Pantsir system will make Russia's air defense more powerful and it will get a strong defense shield against Ukraine's drones. How powerful is Pantsir S-1 The Pantsir S-1 is an automatic, medium-range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft system. It mainly has three types of components, which together form the Pantsir S1 system. These include a missile launcher, a radar truck and a command post. The Pantsir-S1 has been made by the KBP Instrument Design Bureau of the Russian company Tula. It is considered to be a replacement for Russia's old Tunguska M1. The Pantsir-S1 is considered a precision weapon for the military against aircraft, helicopters, precision ammunition, cruise missiles and UAVs. In August 2024, Russia completed tests of a manoeuvrable track-based Pantsir-SM-SV system for service with Russian Ground Forces and Airborne Forces.
