IND vs ENG 5th Test: On-field drama peaks as Yashasvi Jaiswal clashes with Ben Duckett and earlier with Ollie Pope
Yashasvi Jaiswal
was seen engaging in a verbal exchange with
Ben Duckett
, teasing him about toning down his usual aggressive batting style. Jaiswal reportedly said while fielding close-in, 'Come on, I want to see your shots. Play the sweep, reverse sweep. This is not your game.'
Duckett didn't back down and fired back, 'Why should I listen to you?' Soon after, Shubman Gill also got involved, making it evident that the Indian side intended to maintain pressure with both their bowling attack and sledging.

These psychological tactics are heightening the drama as England chase a stiff target of 374 for victory. At stumps on Day 3, they were 50 for 1, having lost Zak Crawley to a pinpoint yorker from Mohammed Siraj on the last delivery of the day. Duckett, who resumed Day 4 on 34 not out, reached 55 before being removed by Prasidh Krishna.
India's commanding position was anchored by another superb century from Jaiswal, who made 118, with crucial half-centuries coming from Akash Deep, Ravindra Jadeja, and Washington Sundar. The visitors posted a total of 396 in their second innings, leaving England with a daunting task over the final two days—to either chase the total down or bat it out for a draw.
Live Events
Earlier in the day, just as the players headed in for the lunch break, tensions flared as Zak Crawley and
Ollie Pope
engaged in a heated exchange with Yashasvi Jaiswal. The moment unfolded after Crawley, who appeared to be limping in the final over—possibly attempting to run down the clock—provoked visible irritation from the England camp.
Crawley, in particular, looked especially animated, continuing a pattern of verbal spats that began during the Third Test, where he and Shubman Gill had also exchanged words on the field.

Delay hits Scorpene retrofit to boost stealth, endurance
NEW DELHI: India has once again missed the boat to enhance the underwater operational endurance and stealth of its latest Scorpene or Kalvari-class conventional submarines, with the already delayed air independent propulsion (AIP) system developed by DRDO still not ready for integration with the vessels. The first Scorpene submarine to be built at the Mazagon Docks (MDL) with French collaboration, INS Kalvari, which was commissioned in Dec 2017, will now complete her ongoing maintenance refit at the Mumbai naval dockyard without being retrofitted with the AIP plug as was originally planned, defence ministry sources told TOI. "The fuel cell-based AIP system developed by DRDO's Naval Materials Research Lab, which has L&T as the prime industry partner, is still not yet operationally available. Hopefully, it should be ready by the time the second Scorpene (INS Khanderi) comes for her scheduled normal maintenance refit in mid-2026," a source said. The Navy after a long delay has inducted six diesel-electric Scorpene submarines, constructed by MDL in collaboration with the French Naval Group under Project-75 for over Rs 23,000 crore, with the sixth INS Vagsheer being commissioned in Jan this year. There is major concern about the continuing delay in the indigenous AIP project, which was originally slated for completion by June 2017 after being sanctioned in 2014 at an initial cost of Rs 270 crore. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Elegant New Scooters For Seniors In 2024: The Prices May Surprise You Mobility Scooter | Search Ads Learn More Undo Amid the delay, MDL and Naval Group signed an agreement for the integration of the indigenous AIP energy system plugs on the Scorpenes only on July 23. Under it, each submarine will undergo a complex project called "jumboisation", involving precision cutting of the hull, safe insertion of the AIP plug and then rejoining the structure to ensure the vessel is fully operational again. Unlike nuclear-powered submarines, which have unlimited underwater endurance, diesel-electric boats must surface or snorkel every couple of days to get oxygen to recharge their batteries. Those fitted with AIP, however, can stay submerged for around two weeks to significantly boost their stealth and combat capabilities. With Pakistan on course to induct eight Yuan or Hangor-class conventional submarines with AIP from China in a major capability jump, India's depleting conventional underwater combat arm has become a major worry. China, of course, now has the world's largest navy, which includes over 50 diesel-electric and 10 nuclear submarines. Apart from the six French-origin Scorpenes, India has seven very old Russian Kilo-class and four German HDW diesel-electric submarines at present. It also has two operational SSBNs (nuclear-powered submarines armed with nuclear ballistic missiles) in INS Arihant and INS Arighaat, with the third to be commissioned as INS Aridhaman this year, as reported by TOI earlier. The long-pending projects to build three additional Scorpenes for Rs 38,000 crore and six new-generation diesel-electric submarines, with both AIP and land-attack cruise missiles, for Rs 70,000 crore under Project-75-India at MDL, are also yet to be finalised and inked.

WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 2 Pre-Show Breakdown (August 3, 2025): Full Matchcard, Storylines and What's at Stake
SummerSlam 2025 (Image via X) Night 2 of WWE SummerSlam 2025 is only a little while away as the pre-show inches towards its conclusion. The MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is once again packed to the brim, as the second night of the big event is set to produce even bigger fights than the first. The Street Fight between John Cena and Cody Rhodes is, of course, the main event of the night, but the other five matches set to take place tonight are equally exciting. As Triple H posted, WWE is currently in stealth mode, and everything is pretty hush-hush for tonight. So let's take a look at what we know so far, and what WWE has in store for the fans for Night 2 of SummerSlam. SummerSlam 2025 Night 2 match cards in order (expected) WWE Women's World Championship : Naomi (c) vs. IYO SKY vs. Rhea Ripley WWE Tag Team Championship: Wyatt Sicks (c) vs. #DIY vs. Street Profits vs. Fraxiom vs. Motor City Machine Guns vs. Andrade & Rey Fenix (TLC match) WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria WWE United States Championship: Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jacob Fatu Dominik Mysterio vs. AJ Styles WWE Undisputed Championship: John Cena (c) vs. Cody Rhodes (Street Fight) The WWE Women's World Championship is going to open Night 2 A lot of chatter has been ongoing about the WWE Women's World Championship fight that will take place tonight in a three-way match. Naomi is the current title holder, after pinning IYO SKY at Evolution, when she very shockingly cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase at the very end of the show. Now both Rhea Ripley and Sky will be back with vengeance to get the belt, but Naomi is not someone they can easily toy with. These three women are at the top of their game when it comes to WWE's women's division. And this three-way match will be bloody, brutal, and brilliant, because that's just how good they are. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Signs Of Heart Attack That Shouldn't Be Ignored (Take A Look) TheDaddest Undo This match is supposed to open Night 2, and given that Ripley and Sky were the closing act at Evolution 2025, this seems pretty fitting. WWE Tag Team Championship TLC match The WWE Tag Team Championship match will be chaotic to say the least, and everyone knows it. With 6 tag teams competing in a Table, Ladder, and Chair match for the tag team belts, which will be hanging on top of the ring, fans already know what to expect, except maybe who will finally come out on top. John Cena and Cody Rhodes to end the night in a spectacular fashion Now that John Cena has turned Baby Face once more, or so it seems, is it time for Cody Rhodes to do the unthinkable, and turn heel? Or will it be a double heel and Cena never actually turned Face at all? Tonight's Street Fight match between these two heavyweights, who were last seen sharing a beer together after Rhodes welcomed Cena back, will be the last match of the night, and the action is supposed to be unmatched. Rhodes has been saying from the beginning that he wanted to face the real John Cena, and it looks like that's exactly what he is about to get. But as it has been said quite a few times by now, will Cody be able to hone in on his instincts and do what needs to be done to face Cena tonight? Whatever happens, WWE is very tight-lipped about it. With only a few minutes before the show starts, the crowd is absolutely going wild, and we can't wait to see what happens tonight.
