Amazon chops £90 off Breville coffee machine that 'performs better than expensive ones'
No matter the time of year, many of us need a warm drink to help us wake up in the morning. While coffee is a go to choice for Brits, many have different preferences of how they like their coffee. From expressos to lattes, there are many choices for a coffee lover to choose from.
Now while getting them from a café means you will be getting a high quality beverage, some of us don't have time in the morning to head to a barista before work. This is why it is important to have a coffee machine at home that can make your favourite drink in no time at all.
Thankfully, Amazon has dropped the price of the Breville One-Touch Coffee Machine in a limited time deal. Dropping from £225.99 down to £135, shoppers will be saving £90 when they purchase this machine that can make a variety of brews in just a few clicks.
With one-touch technology, users can easily make their favourite drink, whether that be an espresso, cappuccino or latte. The machine also comes with single and double shot espresso filters so users can easily control the strength of their morning coffee.
Breville claims shoppers will be able to make barista quality coffee from home with this coffee machine as it is equipped with a 19-bar Italian pump which delivers the perfect pressure to extract robust coffee flavours. The machine is also adaptable for different sized cups and mugs.
Additionally, users can easily make multiple drinks as the machine comes with a 600ml milk reservoir, so users won't need to constantly add more milk between making drinks. This can also be removed and stored in the fridge to keep the milk cool when the machine isn't in use. The adjustable milk frother also allows users to make the perfect drink.

Alternatively, for shoppers looking for something on the cheaper side, Amazon is also selling the Tassimo Suny Coffee Machine for the slightly reduced price of £34.99 (RRP £39.99). With over 17,700 ratings and 4.5 stars, this popular pod coffee machine uses Intellibrew technology to make the 'ideal drink every time'.
Over on Argos, the Philips Sublime L'OR Pod Coffee Machine is currently selling for £70. However, shoppers can reduce this price by adding the code RED30 at checkouts - dropping the price to £49. This discount is only available until June 3, so shoppers will need to be quick.
However, Amazon shoppers have given the Breville Coffee Machine a 4.2 star rating. While many customers were amazed by the coffee this machine makes, some weren't impressed by the size of the drinks created.
One happy shopper said: "Five star is not enough. We have now this amazing coffee machine for two years and it performs better than super expensive ones.
"The coffee is amazing. Makes amazing cappuccinos as well. Beautiful froth better than a lot of bars. We drunk on average three coffees per day everyday and the quality has been consistent during the years."
With another added: "I would say this is perfect for me. It makes a nice hot mug off frothy Latte coffee, glad I bought this."
However, one reviewer grumbled about the quality of the device: "Flimsy construction. Didn't always recognise the milk jug was connected and took an age to make the coffee and clean up after. Back to Nespresso pods for me!"
While another customer said: "Got it out the box and followed all the instructions however I feel like I was in the 'Honey I shrunk the kids' movie. I selected the large cappuccino button and yet what was produced was the amount of coffee for that of tiny human. I get around it now by using the double espresso button and custom milk button now."
Despite this, a further shopper praised: "I have tried a variety of coffee machines over the years, but always returned them due to being disappointed. This coffee machine is fantastic and I would highly recommend it. I love the fact that the milk frother has an adjustment setting and that you can customise your coffee and milk quantities.
"My only gripe is that where the coffee goes, is a tad smaller than I would have liked, but then maybe I should use a smaller mug! Lol Really worth the money."
Another five-star reviewer wrote: "I love this coffee machine because it's so versatile for a coffee enthusiast like me. I like to make different combination of coffees: less milk, more coffee, sometimes more hot water. This coffee machine is literally so easy to operate if you like to make different types of coffee with just couple of clicks."

6 things you should buy, and 4 you definitely shouldn't, during Prime Day this year
Finding a worthwhile deal on Prime Day can be a 'you know it when you see it' situation. But as someone who's covered Amazon's mega sale for six years, I guarantee that there's a method to the madness more often than not. Certain categories historically offer stronger discounts than others, and identifying what they are before you start shopping can help you maximize your budget. 'This is the kind of shopping moment that rewards strategy and precision, not impulse buying,' says Stephanie Carls, a shopping expert at RetailMeNot. 'It's about knowing what's worth it and intentionally buying when the savings are the strongest and the deals are stacked in your favor.' Using my expertise about Amazon's biggest sale of the year (both as a reporter and Prime member), I put together this guide to help you plan your shopping for the four-day event that starts on Jul. 8. Experts also weighed in about what to buy and skip, and shared tips for saving money. You can apply their advice to early Prime Day deals, too, which are live right now. Want more from NBC Select? Sign up for our newsletter, The Selection, and shop smarter. If you're narrowing your shopping list, focus on the categories below to save the most money. There are various reasons why Amazon hosts Prime Day, but experts say a big one is to sell products from its brands, including Echo, Ring, Blink, Kindle and Amazon Basics. Expect to see many of these brands' products marked down to their lowest price ever and bundles that let you buy and save on a few that work together. While electronics from Amazon-owned brands are typically discounted the most on Prime Day, plenty of other tech brands slash prices on their gadgets, including Apple, FitBit, Samsung and Sony, says Carls. Focus on items like headphones, Bluetooth speakers, portable chargers, laptops, tablets and e-readers, and smart home devices like indoor and outdoor security cameras, doorbells, garage openers, lights and plugs. Prime Day is not ideal for buying a refrigerator or washing machine. Instead, prioritize small home and kitchen appliances like air purifiers, vacuums and fans, as well as air fryers, blenders and toaster ovens. 'Top brands like Instant Pot, Ninja, Keurig and Vitamix are deeply discounted and they rarely go on sale outside of major events,' says Carls. Apparel deals often fly under the radar during Prime Day, but they're plentiful, says Carls. Amazon's in-house brands tend to be discounted the most, like The Drop, Amazon Essentials, Goodthreads and Core 10, and you'll see promotions at Shopbop and Zappos since the retailer owns both companies. That said, many other clothes, shoe and accessory brands offer great deals, so keep an eye out, especially if you're looking for basics like white T-shirts, activewear like leggings, sports bras and running shoes, and summer items like sunglasses, bathing suits and shorts. Prime Day is an opportunity to get a head start on back-to-school shopping, which more people have been taking advantage of recently. This year, 24% of parents with grade-school children and 20% of parents with college students plan to shop for school supplies during Amazon's mega sale, according to a survey from RetailMeNot. Vipin Porwal, the CEO and a consumer savings expert at Smarty, recommends looking for savings on items like backpacks and lunchboxes, as well as dorm essentials and school-related tech. You can store everything you need for school, work or travel inside this backpack, which has numerous interior and exterior pockets, as well as a dedicated compartment for your laptop. The backpack's padded shoulder straps make the bag comfortable to wear, and it has reflective elements so people can always see you in low light. Before Prime Day starts, walk around your home and take inventory — are you running low on any essentials? Name-brand laundry detergent, dog food, pantry staples, toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels and more are all on sale during the event, and since you'll need them eventually, you may as well buy them at a discounted price. There are 28 AA alkaline batteries in this pack, which is resealable. If they're unused, you can store the batteries for up to 12 years and they won't decline in performance, according to the brand. While you'll see TVs and gaming-related products on sale during Prime Day, don't buy them just yet, says Carls. There are better discounts and bundles closer to the holidays, especially during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Porwal also recommends waiting until Labor Day to purchase furniture, as well as large home and kitchen devices. Three-day holiday weekends are known for their discounts on these types of items, so hold off until Labor Day deals start in mid-August. Amazon isn't the only one hosting a mega sale in the next few days. Savings events are happening at retailers like Target, Walmart and Nordstrom, too. Some attempt to beat Prime Day pricing on select items, while others compete by offering discounts on different types of products. Additionally, many brands are extending their Fourth of July offers online in hopes of Prime Day shoppers spilling onto their sites. Here are a few Prime Day-adjacent sales to know about. Target Circle Week is from Jul. 6 to 12 and is only open to Target Circle members. You can join the loyalty program for free. Target tends to offer strong deals on home, fashion and personal care products, especially if they're from brands it owns, says Carls. The retailers' tech deals are usually on par with Amazon's during Prime Day, but it sometimes throws in bundles or gift card bonuses that add up to more savings. Home Depot and Lowe's often have sales around Prime Day, allowing shoppers to save on patio furniture, home improvement supplies and tools. These are items Amazon doesn't have an extensive inventory of. Go in with a plan: Do your homework, says Carls — set a budget and list everything you want to buy ahead of time. 'The best approach is to shop with a plan,' she says. 'It's easy to get caught up in big sale moments, but the real value comes when you buy things you already need, at the right time, with the right offer attached.' Download the Amazon app and turn on notifications: If you add items to your watchlist before Prime Day, the app notifies you when prices drop so you can jump on them. Shop Lightning Deals: Lightning Deals only run for a few hours, and there's limited inventory available — once the product sells out or the deal expires, it's gone for good. Lightning Deals are some of the most lucrative discounts brands offer during Prime Day, so pay close attention to them. New offers drop as often as every 10 minutes. Checkout ASAP: Many items discounted on Prime Day are overstock merchandise that brands want to clear out while they have a massive audience, says Porwal. They list items at historically low prices to move inventory quickly, so if you like something, act quickly. Also, the stronger the discount, the more likely it is to be time-sensitive, and popular products from brands like Apple, Dyson and Sony commonly sell out. Pay extra attention to featured sales: Deals advertised front-and-center on Amazon's website and in its app are typically some of the strongest. 'These sellers pay a premium to Amazon to feature their best products, which will likely be available in shorter time frames and at some of their lowest prices ever,' says Porwal. Browse for new deals daily: This year's longer Prime Day timeline gives brands more room to roll out deals in phases. Expect to see new deals drop every day, as well as potential restocks, says Carls. Be wary about unverified sellers: If you're unfamiliar with a brand or seller, and the product isn't something you really need, sometimes the savings aren't worth the risk, says Porwal. Use price trackers: Those like CamelCamelCamel help you evaluate an item's price history, which lets you determine if it's really a good deal or just temporarily marked down from an inflated baseline, says Carls. Compare prices: An item's Prime Day price is almost always the lowest across retailers, especially because your purchase ships free. But it's always a good idea to compare prices before you check out just in case, says Porwal. Familiarize yourself with return policies: Amazon doesn't have a special return policy for Prime Day purchases, but you know how long you have to return an item if needed. In response to the 10% tariff on all countries that's been in effect since April, some brands have already raised prices on their products. Experts say this trend will continue, especially because the 90-day pause on higher reciprocal tariffs ends in a few days. But that doesn't mean Prime Day deals will be weaker this year, experts say. Some brands are increasingly leaning into deals to drive sales before higher costs force price adjustments later. 'For shoppers, this might be the right moment to buy higher-priced items that could become more expensive in the fall,' she says. While deals won't necessarily be weaker during Prime Day 2025, how brands present them might look a little different, says Carls. Expect blanket markdowns, like 30% off every single product a company sells on Amazon, and more curated promotions, meaning a few deeply discounted items. Some brands will also opt for time-sensitive deals rather than keeping products on sale for all four days of the event. Early Prime Day deals are here, and they're really good this year — here's 21+ things we're buying
Prime Day officially starts on Jul. 8, but if you're eager to shop, you can get started right now. Early deals are available on the retailer's site, giving Prime members the opportunity to save on Dyson vacuums, Breville espresso machines, Vera Bradley bags, Garmin smartwatches, Shark hair tools and more. Wondering if early deals are worth taking advantage of? As someone who's covered Prime Day for six years, I can say they absolutely are. The discounts you currently see online aren't likely to get better once Amazon's mega sale begins, and shopping early ensures you're able to buy a product before it sells out. That said, not all early Prime Day deals are actually worth buying. To help you find the best ones, I rounded up a handful that are highly rated, at least 20% off and at their lowest price in at least three months. I'll frequently update this list leading up to Prime Day. Want more from NBC Select? Sign up for our newsletter, The Selection, and shop smarter. These teeth whitening strips are beloved among the NBC Select staff, including updates editor Mili Godio. 'I've been using them for years, and I really see a difference when it comes to how white my teeth look,' she says. 'I used them religiously before my wedding, and I got a ton of compliments. They securely grip onto my teeth, so I don't have to worry about them sliding off when I have them on.' There's 44 strips included in this box, which is enough for 22 treatments — 20 are standard 45-minute treatments and two are 60-minute express treatments. Once you plug this Fire Stick into your TV's HDMI port, you can enjoy your favorite shows, movies and music via streaming services or cable. It comes with an Alexa Voice Remote, and you can bring the device with you on trips to use in hotels or rental homes. This rechargeable electric toothbrush has all of the features dentists told us to look for while shopping: a pressure sensor, a two-minute timer and brush head change alert. You can also choose from three cleaning modes. The toothbrush comes with a travel case and two extra brush heads. The Echo Pop is a mini Bluetooth speaker you can play music, news, podcasts and audiobooks from. It's also equipped with Amazon Alexa, which lets you use voice commands to ask the virtual assistant for weather and traffic updates, set alarms and timers, and control compatible smart home devices. I have an Echo Pop in my bedroom; you can barely see it on my dresser because it's so compact. I swear by my Samsonite luggage, which holds an impressive amount of clothes thanks to its internal organization system and never breaks down despite being beaten up during my travels. This set comes with a hardsided carry-on and a medium checked bag. Both suitcases have built-in TSA locks, expandable storage, 360-degree spinner wheels and adjustable handles. I love using this kitchen gadget to make fresh popcorn at home or the office. There's a built-in cup on its lid to help you measure kernels, and you can also put butter inside so it melts over your snack. The glass, dishwasher-safe popper has a 3-quart capacity and a wide mouth — once you remove the lid and let it cool down, it doubles as a bowl. This cordless stick vacuum automatically adjusts its brushroll speed after it detects what type of floor you're cleaning, and it gives you up to 50 minutes of power on a single charge, according to the brand. It has a HEPA filter that traps dust and other allergens and LED headlights to highlight dirt. You can convert the appliance to a handheld vacuum and addthe included attachments to reach areas like stairs, under furniture and above cabinets. These dishwasher-safe, 2.85-cup containers have two internal compartments to separate foods, and they're made from a clear, shatter-resistant material so you can always see what's inside. The containers come in five with leak-proof lids that have vents underneath their latches — that means you can cover your meal in the microwave to avoid splatters. The Nespresso Vertuo Plus, one of our favorite single-serve machines, lets you make 5 or 8-ounce cups of coffee and single or double espresso shots. It has a 40-ounce removable water tank, so it's easy to refill, and a built-in container that holds up to 13 used pods. The machine comes with a starter set of Nespresso capsules so you can use it immediately. Prime Day is a great opportunity to replace anything you've been meaning to, but never get around to — for me, that's my decade-old, stained, ripped oven mitts. I'm committed to tossing them in exchange for this pair from KitchenAid. They're covered in soft, ribbed silicone that's grippy, heat-resistant up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and water-resistant, according to the brand. The oven mitts also have a cotton cuff, so they feel soft against your skin. Best early Prime Day promos Leading up to Prime Day, Amazon offers special promos on its services, like those I listed below. Also, be sure to check out deals through the retailer's Buy with Prime service, which brands like Steve Madden, Wyze and Jlab participate in. Prime members can save $10 on a Grubhub+ delivery order over $20 with the code 'PRIME10' through Jul. 7. Prime members can get a $200 Amazon gift card upon approval for a Prime Visa through Jul. 14. Prime members can get a $80 Amazon gift card upon approval for a Prime Store Card through Jul. 11. Prime members can get $1 off per gallon on one fuel purchase up to 35 gallons through Jul. 6 at participating BP, Amoco and AM-PM locations. Prime members can save on travel bookings for a limited time, including trips through Royal Caribbean, Avis, Amtrak, Budget and Carnival. Prime members new to Audible can get their first three months free when they sign up for Audible Premium Plus through Jul. 31. Prime members new to Amazon Music Unlimited can try it for free for a limited time. Prime members can sign up for the Amazon grocery subscription and get three months free for a limited time. Prime members can currently claim six bonus free games through Prime Gaming. Prime members can get $30 off their first year of an Amazon One Medical membership, giving them access to in-person and virtual primary care for $69 annually instead of $99. Amazon One Medical pay-per-visit, a telehealth service that treats 40+ common conditions, also offers Prime members 50% off select visit types. That makes visits $14 instead of $29. Best early Prime Day sales Here are the best Prime Day sales to know about. Keep in mind, not every item from a brand is discounted as described below. Best sales at other retailers Target: Shop Target Circle Week from Jul. 6 to 12 Walmart: Shop the Walmart Deal event from Jul. 8 to 13 Best Buy: Shop the Black Friday in July sale from Jul. 7 to 13 Nordstrom: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale from Jul. 8 to Aug. 3 How I found the best early Prime Day deals All of my recommendations above are based on NBC Select's previous coverage and reporting. I also included products the NBC Select staff tested, including Wellness Award and Giftable Tech Award winners. I ran each deal through price trackers like CamelCamelCamel to ensure products are at their lowest price in at least three months. All the products I recommend are highly rated with at least a 4.0-star average rating from hundreds of reviews. Why trust NBC Select? I'm a reporter for NBC Select who has covered Amazon Prime Day since 2020. In addition to writing about the best deals, I also wrote about what's included in a Prime membership, the history of Prime Day and what to buy and skip this year. Prior to Amazon's flagship sale, I previewed a list of deals from the retailer and sorted through them to find worthwhile sales you should know about.

TOURISTS have been warned of the dangers of connecting to public WiFi at tourist hot spots. Experts have urged Brits to look out for the warning signs of hackers bank raiding attacks. 1 Connecting to WiFi in hotels, airports and other popular destinations could put your personal data and even your money at risk. The hot spots have become hunting grounds for malicious hackers taking advantage of rushed tourists, free WiFi and relaxed security awareness. "Evil twin networks" which impersonate legitimate WiFi networks are a particular concern. These have been used to steal personal information and even gain access to banks. The "Evil twin network" sets up with a name similar to publicly available networks like "Airport_WiFi" instead of "Airport_Wi-Fi." Unsuspecting tourists then connect to the dodgy network and from their hackers can gain access to their data. All iPhone and Android users must change settings over easy 'stuffing' attack that preys on common mistake to hack you The technology needed to carry out an "Evil twin network" attack is now cheaper than ever making it more appealing to hackers.
