Google's viral Veo 3 video generator is now available to Gemini users in India: Here's how to start using
However, the Mountain View, California-based company has now announced that Veo 3 is rolling out to Indian users too, but, just like their global counterparts, this feature will only be available to Pro users. In addition to India, Google has announced that Veo 3 will be available in 158 other countries, including Indonesia and all of Europe. You may be interested in
Initially, Veo 3 was only available to Google's Ultra tier subscribers, but the tech giant later made it available to AI Pro subscribers with the Veo 3 fast launch in June.
Google's AI Pro subscription costs ₹ 1,950 per month, while the AI Ultra subscription costs ₹ 12,200 for three months in India.
Pro subscribers will be able to generate 720p clips of up to eight seconds with a Veo 3 subscription. Currently, Google only allows Pro users to generate three videos per day, and users will have to come back the next day to generate more videos.
1) Purchase a Google AI Pro or AI Ultra subscription, if you aren't already subscribed.
2) Go to the Gemini app and tap on 'Video' section
3) Describe the video you want to generate using Gemini
4) Gemini will send you the generated video
Notably, Veo 3 model is known to not only generate hyper realistic videos which can seem almost shot using a camera but also include the accompanying audio with it - a rarity of video generator models.
Seeing the rapid adoption of Veo 3 model, Google had announced that it will add visible watermark to add videos generated by the AI model except those generated by its Ultra members in Flow - the tool for AI filmakers. Moreover, in order to prevent the misuse of AI generated videos, Google also adds a SynthID watermark which is embedded in all the content generated by its generative AI models.

Google's AI Overviews Face Major Battle With EU Regulators After New Complaints
Last Updated: Google AI features like Overviews have taken over the search results with content offered by publishers and media companies. Google's AI moves have got everyone's attention, including its rivals. But this is another case of AI being run through with the help of data that is widely available across the internet. The new AI Overviews are effectively showing you content from across the platforms and summarising for an easy read. But the content is being sourced through publishers who have raised concerns and shared their issues with the European Union regulators this month. The company is investing big in AI, which is why you have features like Overviews, AI mode and more. Google AI mode was introduced at the I/O 2025 earlier this year and now people in US and India can try out the new Search avatar. But it seems the reach and knowledge about the new feature is limited, so Google is taking matters into its own hands and making it easily available through the main Google webpage. Google is using AI mode as its centre of attraction with its recent Doodle. New products need a lot of visibility and what better way than to use the best real estate on the web, which has to be the webpage where people go to search for answers and other materials. Spotify just dropped ‘Jam', its most social in-car feature yet for Android Auto
Spotify has started rolling out a major update to its Android Auto app, introducing a refreshed design and new functionality aimed at improving the in-car music experience. Among the most notable additions is support for 'Jam,' the group listening feature first announced at Google I/O 2025. Spotify's new 'Jam' feature lets passengers add songs on Android Auto via QR code.(Pixabay) 'Jam' makes road trip playlists a group effort With the latest update, version 9.0.58.596 for Android, Spotify now lets drivers host a shared playback session directly from their car's display. The feature, called Jam, allows passengers to scan a QR code and instantly join a group session, adding tracks to the music queue in real time. While the host retains full control over playback and guest management, the feature is designed to make road trips and group drives more interactive. 'This makes collaborative listening seamless while on the move,' Spotify noted in a press release earlier this year. The company had hinted at deeper Android Auto integrations back in May, and the current update seems to deliver on that promise. Offline playback and smarter search for better connectivity The update also brings more practical changes, particularly for users driving through areas with poor connectivity. A new 'Downloaded' tab now sits prominently within the in-app Library, making it easier to find music available offline. Tracks that are already downloaded are also now visibly marked while browsing playlists or albums, ensuring users don't have to guess what's accessible without a signal. In addition to the design tweaks, Spotify has added a floating Search button that launches a dedicated search screen, something previously unavailable in Android Auto. Until now, users had to rely solely on Google Assistant for music searches, which would start playback instantly without showing results. With this change, users can now browse and choose tracks manually, much like the mobile app experience. Refined UI for safer navigation This update also brings UI improvements across the app, offering a more streamlined interface for safer in-car navigation. This update is the first major sign of Google's recently announced plans to give media apps more flexibility within Android Auto. Google has also confirmed that Amazon Music and YouTube Music will adopt these enhanced Android Auto capabilities in the near future, with similar updates expected for other media apps in the coming months. The Spotify update is now live via the Google Play Store and is gradually rolling out to eligible users.

Google Offers Free Battery Replacement for Pixel 6a Users Amid Overheating Concerns
In a welcome move for Pixel 6a users, Google has announced a free battery replacement program aimed at addressing battery drain and overheating problems reported by many users globally. Along with the replacement offer, Google will roll out a mandatory Android 16 update starting July 8, 2025, designed to enhance battery performance and curb overheating on all Pixel 6a devices. "The battery replacement program provides one battery replacement at no charge for eligible Pixel 6a devices following an initial eligibility check and physical inspection of your device," said Google. The offer includes not only a free battery replacement but also the option to receive Rs 8,500 ($100) via Payoneer or Google Store credit worth Rs 12,700 ($150). This program is open to users in India, the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, Singapore, and Japan through walk-in repair centres starting July 21, 2025. Mail-in service will be available in India and the US. Google has stated that the program will soon extend to France, other parts of Europe, Japan, and Australia. How to Check Eligibility: To find out if your device qualifies: Go to Google's official eligibility checker page. Enter the IMEI number of your Pixel 6a. Submit the email address linked to the device. Important Conditions to Note: Google has clarified that devices showing liquid damage or significant physical wear may not qualify for the free battery replacement. If your phone has other out-of-warranty issues like a cracked screen, a service charge might apply. "Before we start any repairs, we'll provide a cost estimate. You then have the option to proceed with the repair or have your device returned to you," the company added. Additionally, payouts will be made in local currencies, and the final amount will be calculated based on current exchange rates at the time users choose their support option. This initiative reflects Google's effort to address consumer concerns and ensure better device performance as part of its broader commitment to product quality and customer satisfaction.
