Oilers' Darnell Nurse hints at pending trade away from Edmonton
A report indicated that the Edmonton Oilers' veteran defenseman wasn't going to waive his no-trade clause if a deal came up.
Nurse posted on his Instagram with the meme featuring the words, "Why you always lying?"

This wouldn't have to mean a trade is imminent, but Nurse clearly didn't mind the world knowing that he'd consider waiving that no-trade clause.
At 30 years old, Nurse has just experienced back-to-back losses in the Stanley Cup Finals. Maybe he wouldn't mind a fresh start.
The 6-foot-4 lefty still gets the job done, coming off 28 assists in 76 games in 2024-25.
He has 300 career points (81 goals, 219 assists) and likely still has a number of solid years ahead of him.
Maybe it's time for other teams to pick up the phone and see if Nurse is truly available.

These Alabama players are rated the highest in EA Sports College Football 26 game
As the EA Sports College Football 26 game officially releases, it appears that one of the more popular teams to play with might just end up being the Alabama Crimson Tide. Announced by the game recently, Alabama is actually the highest-rated college football team in the game, owning an overall rating of 89. The Crimson Tide also have the game's seventh-best offense at an 89 rating, as well as the best defense with an overall rating of 96. As expected with a team rating that high as well, Alabama likely has to have some highly-rated individual players also, and well, that is exactly what the Crimson Tide do in fact have in the game. Alabama has a total of seven players among the Top 100 highest-rated overall players in the game, regardless of position, four of which come on offense. Those players, as well as ratings, are Ryan Williams (95), Kadyn Proctor (94), Jaeden Roberts (92), Tim Keenan III (92), Bray Hubbard (91), Deontae Lawson (91), and Parker Brailsford (91). Taking a deeper look as well, both of Williams and Proctor are among the Top 10 highest-rated offensive players in the game, regardless of position, with the former sitting at No. 2 overall behind only Ohio State wideout Jeremiah Smith. Proctor sits at No. 5 overall, and is also the highest-rated offensive lineman in the game. Keenan is also among the highest-ranking defensive tackles, sitting No. 4 overall. Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host the 2028 Final Four
Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host the 2028 Final Four. A decade ago, it would have been inconceivable. A decade ago, the NFL shut down Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo's fantasy football convention in Las Vegas, even though the convention was being held at a property that had no gambling on it. A decade ago, sports betting was legal in gambling but nowhere else. And while the proliferation and normalization of gambling throughout the country since 2018 has stripped Las Vegas of that which made it unique, it has opened new doors for Sin City. An NFL team resides there. A Super Bowl has happened there. An NHL team plays there. An MLB team is coming. (I think.) And now the Final Four will happen there. Via Mick Akers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority voted on Monday to devote $26 million to the planning and execution of the event. LVCVA President and CEO Steve Hill believes the economic impact will outweigh the expenses by $250 million or more. 'When that event takes place in Las Vegas, everybody knows it,' Hill told Akers. 'They telecast the skyline of our city over and over again and they talk about being here.' With most of the country now able to carry a casino around in their pockets, it's more important than ever to have more of what happens in Vegas happen in Vegas.

Angel Reese keeps soaring, but the Mystics take down the Sky
Angel Reese has called herself a big guard since her freshman year at Maryland, and there she was Tuesday morning, grabbing a rebound and turning up court, eyes darting as she scanned the floor. Once she crossed the logo, the soon-to-be two-time all-star initiated the Chicago Sky's offense with a pass to Ariel Atkins before setting a screen to begin the two-player action. Atkins kicked the ball back out to Reese, who buried an elbow jumper.
