Ozzy Osbourne Announced His Upcoming Memoir ‘Last Rites' Less Than 2 Weeks Before His Death
Hachette Book Group announced on July 10 that Osbourne would be publishing his memoir, Last Rites. According to the book's synopsis, the rock star wrote about his time performing in the legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath, his marriage to wife Sharon Osbourne, his multiple health battles and more.
'People say to me, if you could do it all again, knowing what you know now, would you change anything? I'm like, 'F*** no,' If I'd been clean and sober, I wouldn't be Ozzy. If I'd done normal, sensible things, I wouldn't be Ozzy,' the former rocker said in a press release at the time. 'Look, if it ends tomorrow, I can't complain. I've been all around the world. Seen a lot of things. I've done good … and I've done bad. But right now, I'm not ready to go anywhere.'
Last Rites is scheduled to be released on October 7, 2025.
Ozzy Osbourne Dead at 76 After Suffering Health Issues, Weeks After Final Performance
News broke on Tuesday, July 22, that Ozzy died at the age of 76.
'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,' the musician's family shared in a statement to Metro. 'He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.'
Ozzy is survived by Sharon and their children Kelly Osbourne, Jack Osbourne and Aimee Osbourne, as well as kids Elliot, Louis and Jessica, who he shared with ex-wife Thelma Riley.
A cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Ozzy's death comes weeks after he took the stage one last time with Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England, on July 5. The performance marked Ozzy's official retirement while raising funds for Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorns Children's Hospice. (Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2020.)
'You wake up the next morning and find that something else has gone wrong. You begin to think this is never going to end,' the metal singer told The Guardian in a May profile, noting that his wife organized the benefit concert to 'give [him] a reason to get up in the morning.'

Following the concert, Kelly took to social media to express her gratitude for the full circle moment.
'I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who came to the show last night, [and] thank you to everybody who was involved in the show last night. You have no idea what it did for my dad,' Kelly said in an Instagram Story video. 'It was one of the most magical experiences of my entire life, and if I keep talking, I'm probably going to end up crying again. So, that's all I'll say for now. Thank you.'
Days after her positive message, Kelly took to social media, slamming rumors that her father was close to death.
'This is the s*** I wake up to,' Kelly wrote alongside a screenshot of a message from a social media user critiquing her understanding of her dad's condition. 'Wtf is wrong with people?'

However, she then received a text from her friend asking to reschedule. "On the day, friend messages around 12ish to ask if we can rearrange as she's not well. Fine. Sat in with [takeout] for one," the woman said. "The next day, however, she mentioned how her family had gone for a late lunch with other friends (on the day she canceled)." The Mumsnet user thought the cancellation was "a bit odd," but the trio locked in a new date to hang out regardless. As the next hangout date approached, the woman cleaned up her house again, purchased plenty of food and wine and her partner arranged to go out once more — before the friend suddenly canceled again, saying that she had accidentally double-booked. "She then messages to say they have tickets to an event now in the afternoon and excited to head back for food, games and drinks with her [partner's] friend for the evening and worried about [getting a] hangover," the woman continued of her friend. "Me and other friend aren't as close, so it doesn't really work for us two to carry on to be honest, and she didn't seem keen in the group message." The woman shared that she felt she had been "ditched" two nights in a row, especially considering her partner had gone out both nights as well. "I turned down other plans for today that came up a while ago!" she said, before turning a question over to the online community to answer. England fans celebrate in Manchester as team triumphs at Euro 2025
Hundreds of eager England fans crammed themselves into Freight Island to see if the Lionesses could make history by clinching a European Championship cup. The Lionesses were looking to avenge their 1-0 defeat by Spain at the World Cup final two years ago. While Spain were seeking their first European title and a chance to become the first national side in history to win every UEFA trophy on offer. There was a sense of nerves, quiet confidence and an overall excitement at the city centre venue from football fans before kick off. The very excited players from The University of Salford's Women's football team were also praying for an England win, screams of "3-1", "2-0", "1-0" and "England on penalties" were thrown at the M.E.N when we asked for predictions. Friends Alice Carr and Kallie Weaver were excited but very nervous, noting how impressive Spain had been in this tournament. "They keep the ball really well." Said Kallie. "I think we'll win in the end, I have faith in them." Added Alice. Viral England super fan Andy Milne was also there, and he was caught in two minds. 'I'm a bit nervous, we don't start games very well and Spain are very good. I'd say 1-0 England, but my real prediction is probably 4-0 Spain.' In the end, Andy needn't be so pessimistic, in what was a tense battle, Spain took the lead through Mariona Caldentey in the first half, and England equalised with a Alessio Russo header in the second half. With nothing to separate them in extra time, the game went to penalties, where super sub Chloe Kelly slotted in a historic penalty that saw England become European Champions. Freight Island erupted with delight, with cheers that seemed to go on for an eternity before they sang Sweet Caroline at the top of their lungs.
