Schumacher and Vettel Led RoC in Heartfelt Tribute to Michael Schumacher
Vettel and Schumacher were tasked with representing Team Germany for the second time, first in 2023 when the event was held in Sweden before the 2024 sabbatical and again this year in Sydney, Australia.
The 20 drivers met on top of the table top jump in the middle of Accord Stadium, and Vettel began to unravel a banner with the words "Keep Fighting Michael - We Miss You" on top and the foundations website, KeepFighting.ms at the bottom. The Schumacher family continues to protect Michael's privacy while continuing his charitable work through their Keep Fighting Foundation.
Before Michael's accident, Vettel and the elder Schumacher won the Race of Champions for Germany together six consecutive times from 2007 to 2012.
Vettel and Schumacher were knocked out of Friday's Nations Cup by the home team, Australia, represented by Supercars Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki after the teams first due a tie sending Vettel up against Kostecki in the tie breaker. Australia would fall to France on Friday night before WRC's Sebastian Loeb took Saturday's Champion of Champions as well to become the first five-time winner of the international event.

LE MANS, France — Novak Djokovic is part of a group of investors who have bought a stake in French second-tier soccer team Le Mans, along with ex-Formula 1 drivers Felipe Massa and Kevin Magnussen. Hamilton won the title by 98 points to 97. The 32-year-old Magnussen drove close to 200 races in F1, securing one podium and one pole position. But the Danish driver was not retained by Haas when his contract expired. Le Mans soccer club, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, begins its league campaign on Aug. 9. Le Mans — a small city in northwestern France — also hosts the famed 24-hour endurance car race.

Aston Martin Selling Minority Stake in F1 Team for $147 Million
Aston Martin has signed a binding agreement to sell its minority stake in the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. While the automaker lends its name to the team, Aston Martin's shares only amount to 4.6 percent. The sale won't have a huge effect on the F1 team's day-to-day operations, but it will offer a welcome influx of cash for the struggling automaker. Aston Martin, the British sports car manufacturer owned by Lawrence Stroll, is selling its stake in the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, which Stroll also owns. Well, technically, it was Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings PLC that agreed to divest its ownership stake in the Formula 1 outfit. The news was confirmed earlier this week, as the company signed a binding letter of intent with a buyer in place. While the official buyer hasn't been named, PlanetF1 reported that Yew Tree Investments, the Stroll-led consortium, is set up to increase its ownership shares from 27.67 percent to 33 percent.
