'Good Father': Social Media Users Defend Radhika Yadav's Killer In Viral Post By Friend
One of Radhika Yadav's friends has condemned the online support for the tennis player's father, who shot her dead, calling out men for defending the murderer.
Days after Radhika Yadav's murder, one of her close friends has caught the attention of social media users through a post, putting the spotlight on how men are defending men in the case.
Identified as Himanshika Singh Rajput, also a tennis player, Radhika's friend pointed to the comments on one of her previous videos, wherein she had slammed Radhika's father, the accused in the case.
The new video shared by Himanshika highlighted multiple comments, some of which read, 'good father", 'his father did the correct thing", and more. Some social media users even said Himanshika was lying.
'I posted two videos about Radhika Yadav last week, and I was shocked to see my entire comment section filled with men defending men," Himanshika mentioned in the new post on Instagram.
'This is not okay. Justice must be served. Men need to understand that this world doesn't belong to them alone women exist, women resist, and women will continue to fight for each other," she added.
'We are not going to stay silent. We will speak up. We are speaking up. We will fight back and we are fighting back," her post read.
'It is not acceptable for men or parents to impose 'small" restrictions at home, like telling girls what to wear, where to go, or how to behave. These are not small. These are part of the problem," she added.
Twenty-five-year-old Radhika Yadav was shot dead by her father in her house in Sushant Lok Phase-2 of Gurugram's Sector-57 on July 10.
One of the bullets struck the tennis player in the neck, while two hit her in the back while she was working in the kitchen on the first floor of the building.
Just days before her murder, Radhika Yadav was in discussions with her Dubai-based coach to work abroad despite her killer father's objection.
The ambitious young girl wanted to work in Australia, Dubai or China and wanted to leave home by October-November, one of her chats shared by investigators revealed.
In the latest, her father, Deepak Yadav, who had admitted to killing her, was sent to 14 days' judicial custody.

ED raids against Bengaluru group in homebuyers ‘fraud' case
Bengaluru: The Enforcement Directorate on Friday conducted searches against a Bengaluru-based real estate company and its promoters who are accused of duping home buyers worth crores of rupees in the name of selling them flats in their residential project, official sources said. At least ten premises of Ozone Urbana Developers Pvt. Ltd. and its key management personnel were raided in Bangalore and Mumbai under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), the sources said. The main promoter of the group is Satyamoorthi Vasudevan. The company and its promoters were booked by the ED after taking cognisance of multiple police FIRs registered against them related to a residential project named Ozone Urbana in Devanahalli Taluk of Bengaluru. The integrated township project was to be handed over to buyers in 2018. However, till 2024, only 49 per cent of the project was completed, the sources said. The company 'failed' to hand over the project and has neither returned the money to the buyers, they claimed. It is alleged that the accused company and its key management personnel 'cheated' gullible home buyers by promising to pay their bank EMIs (taken for purchase of homes) until completion of the project. The company also promised many buyers 'huge' discounts, if they pay full amount in advance against the bookings and it also allegedly lured them with a 'buyback scheme'. It is alleged that the directors of the said company cheated its buyers collectively to the tune of hundreds of crores and misappropriated the funds, the ED sources said.
