From the brilliantly twisted minds of Tom Sainsbury and Lara Fischel-Chisholm comes a full-blown, high-kicking, sleigh-sliding, disco-ball-drenched Christmas spectacular packed with interpretive dance, chaotic energy, and enough tinsel to choke a reindeer.

John Torode sacked from MasterChef
'He has stated he has no recollection of the alleged incident and does not believe that it happened. He also says that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment. Torode said on Monday: 'I am shocked and saddened by the allegation, as I would never wish to cause anyone any offence.' The Telegraph understands that Torode was the subject of multiple allegations, although only one was substantiated. Torode and Grace Dent, who was hired as Wallace's replacement, recently filmed a series of Celebrity MasterChef, which was due to go out this autumn. That means the BBC now has two MasterChef series that may never see the light of day – the celebrity version and last year's amateur competition hosted by Torode and Wallace. BBC director-general Tim Davie earlier said that MasterChef was bigger than its presenters. Asked whether the show had a future, he replied: 'I absolutely think it does. I think a great programme that is well loved by audiences is much bigger than individuals. 'It absolutely can survive and prosper, but we've got to make sure we're in the right place in terms of the culture of the show.' Davie was also asked about the last series of the show, which was filmed but has not been released and features Wallace in all but the final episode. He said: 'This is a difficult decision, and we need to weigh it up carefully. We're thinking through things.' A former member of the production team told the Telegraph that the show needs to 'reform'. 'The people in power are the problem. They have enabled this behaviour and that needs to change. I hope the show undergoes a cultural change now. This has been a long time coming.' In a post on social media last night, Torode said: 'Although I haven't heard from anyone at the BBC or Banijay - I am seeing and reading that I've been 'sacked' from MasterChef and I repeat that I have no recollection of what I'm accused of. The inquiry could not even state the date or year of when I am meant to have said something wrong. 'I'd hoped that I'd have some say in my exit from a show I've worked on since its relaunch in 2005, but events in last few days seem to have prevented that. Over the past few months, I have been considering my life and the shape of it now and in the future. 'Celebrity MasterChef, which I recently filmed with Grace Dent along with two fantastic Christmas specials will be my last. Personally, I have loved every minute working on MasterChef, but it's time to pass the cutlery to someone else. For whoever takes over, love it as I have.' He added: 'I will watch fondly from afar as I now focus on the many other exciting projects that I have been working towards. My tummy will be grateful for a rest after 20 years of eating, but what a joy it has been. Life is ever changing and ever moving and sometimes personal happiness and fulfilment lay elsewhere. 'Thank you for the many years of MasterChef."

Children's Theatre Pioneer Tim Bray Has Died
Article – RNZ Tim Bray, who lifted children's and youth theatre to new heights in New Zealand, died on Saturday. He was 61. Bray founded the Tim Bray Theatre Company to produce high-quality kids theatre more than 33 years ago, staging original works and productions based on well-known children's books. That successful run of shows came to an end late last year following Bray's announcement of a diagnosis for a rare soft tissue cancer. He told RNZ's Nine to Noon in December that treatment for cancer, along with scraping together the annual budget of $1 million to continue producing theatre, was no longer possible. The annual Christmas production of the Santa Claus Show in December was the company's final curtain when he was unable to find someone to take over his work. Related stories: Bray showed an interest in the performing arts when he saw travelling theatre companies perform at his school. His parents enrolled him in drama classes at age 13. Bray first had the idea to start a company dedicated to children's theatre when the Auckland Youth Theatre, where Bray worked at the time, shut down. He described theatre for kids and young people as being 'incredibly in my bones…' Bray's mission was always to provide quality theatre to every child. In 2004, the theatre company was well ahead of others when it began providing sign language interpreters at shows. The theatre company went on to provide sensory relaxed performances for children put off by loud noises and other over-stimulating elements. Audio-described performances for blind children were another addition. The Tim Bray Theatre Company delivered more than 100 productions to hundreds of thousands of children. They toured New Zealand and performed for King Charles and Queen Camilla when they were prince and duchess. Bray was awarded a Queen's Service Medal in 2017. 'Tim Bray's work has been instrumental in shaping children's theatre in Aotearoa New Zealand over more than three decades,' said Peter Winder, chair of Tim Bray Theatre Company. 'We extend our heartfelt condolences to Tim's family, friends, and all who were touched by his remarkable work.'

You're invited: Princess Chelsea's Midwinter Ball
Chelsea Lee Nikkel, AKA Princess Chelsea, will host a Midwinter Ball at The Civic's Wintergarden, Auckland. Princess Chelsea's Midwinter Ball is scheduled for July 18th at Auckland's Civic. Photo: Spiral Wizard The Ball, titled Swords and Sorcery: Fantasy on The Big Screen, will be hosted by comedian Tom Sainsbury. Tāmaki Makaurau-based guests The Circling Sun & The Golden Axe will support Princess Chelsea & The Dream Warriors. The event follows Nikkel's sold-out Twin Peaks-themed Midwinter Ball of 2024, which saw 650 people in attendance. The Ball will include 'medieval sword fighting', portraits and prizes for the best dressed. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in fantasy attire. Nikkel joins Tony Stamp live on Music 101 to mull it over.
