Hunky Hollyoaks star 'signs up to celebrity dating app Raya as he returns to the UK to find love'

Ricky Whittle has reportedly returned to London and is reportedly looking for love as he signed up to celebrity dating app Raya.
The ex-Hollyoaks star, who finished runner up on Strictly Come Dancing in 2009, moved to Los Angeles to work in Hollywood in 2011.
According to The Sun, one picture showed the actor cuddling a quokka and another of him running shirtless through a street.
A source said: 'It's like he's saying I'm cuddly, hot and very available.
'His profile popped up a couple of weeks ago. It says he's an actor who lives in LA but was visiting London.
'Given how good he looks, I bet he had loads of people swiping on his profile.'
Ricky is best known over here for playing Calvin Valentine on Hollyoaks.
After his character was killed off in 2010, Ricky relocated moved and has starred in shows including The 100 and American Gods.
Despite all of his success across the pond, during his interview with MailOnline in 2023 Ricky did not completely rule out a possible return to the British soap one day.
He said: 'Would I ever do a soap again? Probably not, but for fun why not, I don't care as I'm in a fortunate position, where I don't need to work.
'I haven't been in Hollyoaks for 20 years but at the end of the day you can never shy away from where you came from.'
He also opened up about the influence his time on Hollyoaks had on his acting skills, saying: 'If it wasn't for Hollyoaks I wouldn't be where I am now.
'Hollyoaks is an education, you're learning 12 to 15 scripts every day and halfway through a day, new pages are coming down and it's like "learn them now" and you just get it done and don't think about'.
'My character went from being the good guy, to the bad guy to the club owner, to the policeman, to your sister's on drugs, to you'd killed someone and then he's back to life - it's like you go through a whole gambit of emotions'.
'If that's not great education for an actor- I don't know what is.'
He added: 'I would never look down on soap actors because they're the ones that are putting in five days a week and I've got nothing but love for those guys and what that show did for me.'
He turned his back on Hollywood in 2023, telling MailOnline he was 'done' with America and its 'crazy politics' and was planning to move away from Los Angeles.
But just a couple of years later it seems Ricky may be considering a return to the big time as the hunky actor made a surprise appearance at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival earlier this year.
He arrived on the red carpet in southern France looking typically dapper in a black tux ahead of his role presenting the festival's Golden Nymph Awards Ceremony alongside Shy'm, 39.
The duo posed for photos together, with Ricky playfully making sure the spotlight was on the French actress as she put on a leggy display in an eye-catching black and white dress.
Later in the evening the pair suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction while performing a dance routine on-stage as Shy'm spilled out her outfit momentarily.
Whittle was last seen on television while playing Mickey Barnes in one episode of The Rookie, a show following a police officer in Los Angeles.
Prior to that the 45-year-old had enjoyed a quiet couple of years work-wise after the end of American Gods in 2021.

Gurnaik Johal: ‘I had no idea Zadie Smith was such a big deal!'

My earliest reading memory I used to regularly reread my bright green copy of the Guinness Book of Records. I can still clearly picture the woman with the longest fingernails in the world. My favourite book growing up I loved the world-building in Michelle Paver's Wolf Brother series. Its stone age setting was different to anything I knew, but so easy to imagine being a part of. The book that changed me as a teenager I bought NW by Zadie Smith because its cover design was so striking. I had no idea she was such a big deal! Once I finished it, I sought out the books that she recommended. That's how I ended up reading Elizabeth Strout, George Saunders and Gustave Flaubert – which was a very good place to start. The writer who changed my mind I didn't read biographies until I stumbled upon Dana Stevens's book about Buster Keaton, Camera Man. She changed my mind about the genre, and now I can't watch Keaton's films without thinking about scenes from the book. The book that made me want to be a writer Reading short stories at university made me want to become a writer. Extra by Yiyun Li, A Temporary Matter by Jhumpa Lahiri and Recitatif by Toni Morrison stand out as early examples that got me to think differently about reading and writing. The book or author I came back to I didn't get Heart of Darkness at all when I first read it, and was too quick to judge it. Thankfully, I revisited it and now count Joseph Conrad as one of my favourite writers. I love his prose style and the scale of ambition in his novels. The book I reread Teaching courses on the short story allowed me to regularly revisit some favourites. Two stories that never left my syllabus were Pet Milk and Paper Lantern by Stuart Dybek. After dozens of rereads, Dybek's writing always feels new – I get swept along every time. The book I could never read again I listened to Karl Ove Knausgård's My Struggle while training for a marathon. I think if I read it again, it would invoke some kind of Pavlovian response. The book I discovered later in life I have myself to blame for reading Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe later than I should have – it was on my university course but I missed the lecture. Since reading it, I struggle to get on with novels that don't have any oomph to them. To hold my wavering attention, there's got to be a sense of adventure and play either at the level of the plot or the sentence – Robinson Crusoe has both. The book I am currently reading I'm slowly making my way through Larry McMurtry's epic western Lonesome Dove, which is a comedy of manners set on a cattle drive from Texas to Montana. The free indirect style is very Jane Austen and the dialogue very John Wayne. My comfort read I sometimes take Sheila Heti's Alphabetical Diaries on the tube to work. Dipping in and out of it at random is as close as I can get to meditation during rush hour. Saraswati by Gurnaik Johal is published by Serpent's Tail. Anthony Anderson admits 'regret' over his VERY inappropriate comment to Lindsay Lohan when she was just 17

Anthony Anderson has admitted he 'regrets' an inappropriate comment he made to a teenage Lindsay Lohan in a resurfaced 2003 interview that has recently gone viral. The Black-ish star, 54, had been filling in on The Sharon Osbourne Show while joined by a then 17-year-old Lohan as she promoted her new movie Freaky Friday. Anderson - who had been 33 at the time - talked to Lohan as she opened up about moving in with close friend Raven-Symoné. She explained, 'I don't have a boyfriend,' which prompted Anthony to exclaim, 'She's single, but looking!' The Disney channel star emphasized, 'I'm illegal for people that are old,' with the guest host telling her, 'Some men like them young. We ain't gonna mention no names, but I'm one of them.' A spokesperson for Anderson told Entertainment Weekly in an article published on Friday: 'This interview was clearly intended as comedy. 'He regrets if the humor was in poor taste and maintains the utmost respect for Lindsay. Any implication to the contrary is both inaccurate and potentially defamatory.' has reached out to Anderson's reps for comment. Anthony Anderson has admitted he 'regrets' an inappropriate comment he made to a teenage Lindsay Lohan in a resurfaced 2003 interview that has recently gone viral The conversation began when he had told Lohan, 'Both of you are beautiful women. 'Both of you are young and have your individual styles. What gentlemen will be at the new pad with you and Raven-Symoné?' Also during the past interview, Anderson was preparing to go to a commercial break and before doing so, he mentioned Lohan's movie Freaky Friday. 'Right now, we're about to get our freak on,' the actor said and then moved closer towards the actress on the couch. The Law & Order star then put his arms around Lohan who placed her hands over her mouth. The 2003 interview has recently gone viral on social media as the actress is in the midst of promoting the upcoming sequel Freakier Friday. Some over on X offered their thoughts on the resurfaced clip, with one penning, 'It just kept getting worse... and worse...' Another added, 'This is shocking. Has anyone ever seen footage of him actually being funny btw?' and one social media user shared, 'She even said "I'm illegal" lol.' Another added, 'This is shocking. Has anyone ever seen footage of him actually being funny btw?' and one social media user shared, 'She even said "I'm illegal" lol' 'He actually said that out loud,' one said, while another commented, 'Nothing wrong with liking young WOMEN 18+ she was 17.' Others came to Anderson's defense as a fan shared, 'Calm down. It was cringe joke,' and one typed, 'It was extremely tacky but to me that's it.' Back in 2018, it was revealed that the actor was reportedly under a criminal probe by the LAPD when a female caterer accused him of assault. Anderson denied the allegations when they came to light that same year and a spokesperson for the comedian told The Blast, 'It's unfortunate that anyone can file a police report whether it is true or false. 'The authorities have not contacted Anthony or any of his representatives about this matter. Anthony unequivocally disputes the claim.' However, only a couple of months after the complaint had been filed, the L.A. District Attorney's Office opted to not press charges against Anderson due to lack of evidence. Nearly 20 years earlier in 2004, a 25-year-old female extra had accused Anderson as well as an assistant director of raping her on the set of the film Hustle & Flow. However later that year, the charges were dropped due to the judge finding that there was no probable cause to try the case. Another woman came forward in 2004 and accused Anderson of sexual assault which she had claimed occurred on set of All About The Andersons. The comedian was previously married to Alvina Stewart - whom he tied the knot with in 1999 and also shares two children with. Stewart initially filed for divorce back in 2015 but the pair reconciled two years later. But in 2022, she filed for divorce for the second time. After the former couple reached a settlement, it was revealed back in 2023 that Anthony was ordered to pay his ex $20,000 per month in spousal support. Lohan has yet to respond to the viral 2003 interview as she has been busy doing press for her upcoming movie Freakier Friday. On Thursday, the actress was joined by her fellow co-star Jamie Lee Curtis at the premiere of the film in Mexico City. And earlier this week, Lindsay looked incredibly youthful as she made an appearance at the star-studded screening in Hollywood on Monday. The project is a sequel to the 2003 Disney movie Freaky Friday.
