The parade stretched for almost a mile, featuring more than 450 performers, airborne displays of the show's iconography, pink-suited guards, a brass marching band, and a 25-foot-tall Young-hee doll with laser beams shooting from its eyes. The procession began at the Gwanghwamun Gate and proceeded into Seoul Plaza, which culminated in a massive fan party. The celebration featured the show's creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, and 25 of the most popular cast members from across the three seasons. The event features immersive video projects, Q&As with the cast, dance sequences, and an a cappella rendition of the Squid Game theme. Premiering on Netflix in September 2021, it became a global sensation for its gripping storyline, intense social commentary, and striking visuals.
