A MOTHER who ditched life in the UK for sunny Spain has opened up on the 'biggest changes' she has experienced since moving abroad.
After feeling fed up of working just to pay bills, mum-of-two Becky packed up her life and moved to Alicante, a port city on Spain's southeastern Costa Blanca, alongside her partner and two sons.

But now, the mother has got candid on her 'fresh start' as she shared the five things that have 'altered her brain chemistry since moving to Spain.'
In a short clip uploaded online, the content creator posted a variety of snaps from Alicante and while she can't get used to the eating schedules, explained that she is a huge fan of the way those in Spain do the school drop-off.
Not only does she prefer the school run in Spain, but her kids do too and have described it as 'more relaxed.'
Becky confirmed that shortly after arriving, she experienced the 'school drop-off shock,' with three huge differences from that in the UK.
She acknowledged that not only do teachers give students kisses on the cheek, but parents always casually hang around the gate after saying goodbye to their little darlings.
And that's not all, as she also explained that unlike that in the UK, there is 'no chaotic morning rush,' making the whole experience much smoother and more chilled.
Having said that, Becky has struggled to get on board with popular meal times in Spain and claimed that the 'eating schedules make no sense,' with many sitting down for lunch at 2pm and dinner at 9pm.
Kelly has also had to adjust to seeing the local police at the school gates helping control traffic and was shocked to witness kids crossing the roads without parents accompanying them everyday.
She also found the 'playground culture' a challenge at first, as she recognised that it is now 'normal' for children to go to the park at 8pm.
Finally, she recognised that those in Spain are always throwing street parties, with parades, bright costumes and loud music.
I quit my job and did a complete 180 moving to Spain - beer is just $3 a pint and my life is so much better
She shone a light on the Spanish "carnavals," vibrant pre-Lenten festivals, as she explained: 'There's always a carnaval to celebrate.'
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @bex_from_rain_to_spain, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 61,700 views.
The kids have been amazing! Literally took it in their stride
Becky
Social media users were impressed with Becky's clip and many raced to the comments to praise her 'dream' life.
One person said: 'It's freedom and less stress for parents, our nervous system loves it.'
Another added: 'I love it. Spain is my dream.'
How easy is it to move abroad?
Brexit means British citizens now have to apply for visas to move to countries within the EU. While some countries residency restrictions are easier than others, here's what you need to do at home before moving: Notify HMRC about your upcoming move.
Let your local authority know and provide a forwarding address.
Contact your mortgage and utility providers and bank before leaving.
If you have paid enough UK national insurance contributions, you can qualify for a state pension abroad - contact the International Pension Centre.
You can sign up to the Royal Mail's redirection service.
If you have outstanding student loans, contact the Student Loans Centre.
If you have children, give due notice to childcares and schools.
A third commented: 'I love all of these things about living in Spain, except the meal times! I just can't get in the rhythm! But school drop off is such a vibe!'
Meanwhile, one mother penned: 'Spanish school and the school run was the biggest culture shock for us too. I love it though...school just seems a little more fun here!'
In response, Becky wrote back and confirmed: 'That's what the boys tell me, 'it's just more relaxed here mum.''
Not only this, but another parent asked: 'If you don't mind me asking, how did the kids adjust? We would love to move over with our seven year old.'
To this, Becky responded and shared: 'The kids have been amazing!
'Literally took it in their stride, also I no longer battle [getting] my little one into school in the morning.'

Aimee, 41, is the eldest daughter of Sharon and Ozzy but has rarely been seen as much as her siblings Jack, 39, and Kelly, 40. Over the years, Aimee hasn't been seen in public with her brother and sister. She is a singer who has released music under the moniker ARO since 2010. However, Aimee has shied away from the limelight around her parents. She is the eldest of the Ozzy and Sharon's kids but famously declined to appear on the family's MTV reality series The Osbournes in the early noughties. The show was an instant hit and propelled her parents and siblings into huge stardom. However, just weeks before his dad's death at the age of 76, Jack opened up about his relationship with Aimee, and said they were "not close at all". Appearing on the Disrespectfully podcast, Jack was quizzed on whether Aimee regretted not taking part in the family's reality series. He admitted: "I've never had the conversation with her, we're not close at all. "We don't have a great relationship, she'll be the first to tell you that, so it's no secret. Tearful Sharon Osbourne reads fans' touching tributes to beloved husband Ozzy as she joins family at funeral procession "I've never asked her outright, 'Do you regret it?' "I think there must be a level of like, 'Hey, my life would have probably been different than what it is if I'd done that', so I don't know, I think I would feel like I would have regretted it." Revealing more about Aimee's decision not to be on The Osbournes, Jack said: "Back then she really wanted to be a musician and the kind of musician she wanted to be was like a Fiona Apple, Mazzy Star, like this kind of obscure, mysterious, moody… "And she deemed doing a show on MTV as low-hanging fruit. She was like, 'I'm not going to be seen riding coat-tails,' kind of thing, that's how she perceived it. 7 The MTV show made huge stars out of the family Credit: Getty "Once the show was hugely successful I think she was kind of like, 'Well I can't now come on because I don't want to be seen even more so as jumping on the bandwagon'. "And she dug her heels in and wanted to be relatively private and obscure." SIBLINGS REUNITED However, just weeks later Jack was reunited with Aimee at their father's funeral last week. Aimee - wearing a black veil - was seen comforting her mum Sharon as they laid flowers at a memorial to Ozzy. Aimee's sister Kelly could also be seen in tears, comforting and hugging her family as they paid tribute to the Black Sabbath icon. Thousands of fans lined the streets of Birmingham for the rock legend's funeral procession. In emotional scenes, Sharon - aided by Kelly to her left and Jack to her right - slowly walked towards the memorial created by fans at Black Sabbath Bridge. Storm Floris LIVE: Scotland braces for 90mph battering as amber ‘danger to life' warning issued & trains axed

The Met Office warned of extreme winds which could cause injuries and create 'a danger to life' risk 'WATCH YOUR BACK' Storm Floris LIVE: Scotland braces for 90mph battering as amber 'danger to life' warning issued & trains axed Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) STORM Floris is "rapidly deepening" as winds of up to 90mph look set to pummel Scotland. An amber weather warning has been slapped across the majority of the country between 10am and 10pm today. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Storm Floris is the first named storm since January The Met Office warned of extreme winds which could cause injuries and create 'a danger to life' risk. It's the second-highest warning possible, made more dangerous by the fact that trees are still in leaf and more liable to collapse. Ferry company Cal Mac has warned that delays and cancellations are likely on west coast routes from Mallaig and Oban. It is the first named storm since January, when Storm Eowyn caused widespread destruction. Upgrading the incoming tempest from yellow 'be aware' to amber 'be prepared' the Met Office warned: 'Storm Floris will bring a spell of unusually strong west or northwesterly winds to much of Scotland during Monday. 'Gusts of 50 to 70 mph are expected for many parts, and are likely to reach 80 to 90 mph on some exposed coasts, hills and bridges. 'Western coastal areas will see the highest gusts between late morning and early afternoon, the strongest winds then transferring to northeastern Scotland by late afternoon/early evening.' It's possible more traffic could be on the road today as it's the late summer Bank Holiday north of the border. Storm Floris has been tracked all the way from the eastern seaboard of the United States, rapidly deepening as it approaches the west coast of Ireland tonight.

On her Snapchat page on Friday, the mum of five told how Doris had given birth, and has now revealed she's swerved a holiday to the Isle of Wight to look after the new litter. Yet instead of kicking back and relaxing, she is keeping her house cosy with electric blankets and regular feeding patterns for the new arivals. In a video which showed her in a cream jumper and her dark hair in a straight style, she added the caption "sad news" and four emotional Emoji icons. In the clip, Katie told her followers there had been a death and said: "An update on the kittens, one unfortunately died. "That's the one wrapped in tissue, two hours after we fed it. "Luckily I'm trying to help the kittens latch on to the mum, two are just about doing it but I'm having to put them on it, because they are so premature. "As you can see how knackered I am, every two and a half hours through the day and through the night I'm feeding them for the mum. "She's a good mum, and then she keeps bringing one to the bed with her, she did that earlier, I think that was a sign to come and look in the box as one had died." Katie Price admits her family are panicked over star's weight loss as mum fears eating disorder and dad calls her 'thin' legs 'terrible' Katie added: "But that's good because she trusts us and loves us so thats good. "So I've got two latching on to her now, so thats the update." She then panned the camera to new parent Doris, sitting on her bed, as she cooed: "Hey Doris good girl." CHARITY BACKLASH Katie forked out for Doris and two other cats last year. Katie's troubled pet history November 2017 One of Katie's horses was killed on the A24 after it broke lose from its field. She announced the death on social media and said she was devastated. February 2018 Katie's dog Queenie was hit by a car near her home, with the former model blaming a delivery driver for leaving the gate open. November 2018 Katie claimed the family's pet chameleon, called Marvin, died from a broken heart after her children Junior and Princess moved in with her ex husband Peter Andre. February 2020 Her Alsatian Sparkle lost her life after getting lose and being hit by a car. Katie posted the news on social media but was hammered by fans who called for her to be more careful. July 2020 Fans rounded on Katie after her daughter Princess's puppy Rolo suffocated. JRC Bullies who gifted the dog to Katie were furious and said: "We are heartbroken that this has happened as we told Katie not to leave a small puppy on its own. "We can't believe that the puppy was left unattended as we had left strict instructions.' November 2022 Katie came under fire after she revealed her pomeranian Sharon had been hit by a car and killed outside her Horsham home. June 2023 Katie was slammed by PETA after her seventh pet was killed. She revealed her dog blade had been run over on the same stretch as road as her last dog Sharon. October 2023 Katie had four Chihuahuas but in October she sold two of them for £2k each. She showed her affections for the trio, even pushing them around in a pram. Yet, at the time, she could not escape backlash from charity PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). They called for the need for an injunction to be put in place, stopping Katie from owning pets completely. They had previously offered Katie £5,000 to stop buying pets, which she had not responded to. PETA UK founder Ingrid Newkirk told The Sun: "If there was a way to file an injunction to stop this serial animal killer, PETA would do so, as this woman doesn't care about the lives she wastes or listen to vital advice and is still treating live animals like stuffed toys: as disposable. "If William Hill took totally tasteless bets, the odds would favour those betting on how little time this kitten has on Earth, given the hideous track record of animal deaths in Price's custody. No one could call it 'care'.' The new additions to the family came just a few months after she revealed she had to put down her last 'designer' cat, Frog, after being diagnosed with a neurological disease. She had bought Frog in February for £1,200, naming him in a sweet tribute to her son, Harvey, who loves frogs, but came under fire months later when she shared a video of the pet wrestling with a dog. Katie had eight pets die in just six years - including four dogs and a horse all getting hit by cars. She has also given away pets, including an out-of-control Alsatian called Bear for attacking other animals. At the beginning of 2024, Katie gave away a puppy called Tank because he 'no longer looked cute on Instagram'. She also currently has a pet pug, named Captain, and avidly looks after horses. 5 Katie told how she is helping the kittens to latch on to Doris Credit: Getty
