Montreal police recover unidentifiable body from Prairies River
Police received a 911 call just before 3:20 p.m. after a person spotted the body in the water near the intersection of Gouin Boulevard and Martin Avenue.
The body is unidentifiable, according to police spokesperson Julien Lévesque.
Investigators with the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal analyzed the scene and the investigation is being transferred to the Quebec coroner's office.

Man, 22, in hospital after shooting in downtown Windsor
The Windsor Police Service is investigating an early-morning downtown shooting that sent one person to hospital. Shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to reports of gunfire in the 400 block of Ouellette Avenue, where officers found a 22-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Police said the victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No further information has been released on the identity of the man. "An initial investigation revealed the victim was shot following an altercation between two groups," police said in a news release. The Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit is asking residents and business owners in the immediate area to check their surveillance or dashcam footage between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. for possible evidence. Teen killed in north Minneapolis shooting early Sunday morning
Minneapolis police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Sunday morning on the city's north side. Officers responded to a report of a shooting near Mississippi Drive North and Lyndale Avenue North just after 3 a.m., according to the Minneapolis Police Department. Upon arrival, police found a 19-year-old man with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite life-saving measures, the man died at the scene. The victim's identity will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office. Police say the shooter fled the scene before officers arrived. "Anyone who has information should reach out and provide that information. We are working to do everything we can to find justice for this victim and his family," Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara said.
