The Chelsea Residences will be the first of its kind…
A new residence project coming up in the city? Nothing new. But football fans will love this upcoming residence project coming up in Dubai, which will see DAMAC Properties teaming up with Chelsea Football Club.
And yes, of course, it will be a football-themed branded real estate development. Here's what we know…
Located in Dubai Maritime City, Chelsea Residences by DAMAC comprises of six towers, and yes, each will be kitted out with Chelsea-branded amenities. In fact, according to the announcement, 'the Chelsea brand permeates every square foot of the property.'
Each tower will rise 130 metres high and will boast 1,400 sea-facing units offering views of the Arabian Sea.
The property will include wellness facilities, an outdoor rooftop football pitch, and an Aquarium Lounge in Chelsea blue. Residents will also be able to enjoy a game in the private cinema, train in the Chelsea Athlete Performance Centre, or relax in the Rain Therapy Room.
With a focus on health and fitness, the project will include a cryotherapy centre, forest relaxation pods, a kneipp parkour therapy path, a starlit wellness centre, and a yoga studio. And of course, we can expect an infinity pool, too.
Now you can't live in a football club inspired residence, and… not watch the matches. And at Chelsea Football Club, you can catch the games at a resort-style mancave where the games will be screened live. During the break, you can spend time with boxing, darts, and more.
Dining establishments as well take a 'wellness-first' approach with the residences offering Dubai's first healthy mono-diet café, a private chef's table experience, and the show-stopping Captain's Table—a resident-exclusive event series hosted by Chelsea F.C. legends. More to come…
DAMAC Properties is also the developer behind other luxury projects, including the luxury fashion house Cavalli. Cavalli Couture is the wow-worthy canal-front residential building where each of the residences is influenced by a tropical Amazonian rainforest.
Another skyscraper slowly rising is the Safa One and Safa Two in Al Safa. This futuristic-looking twin tower development promises exclusive living and luxury interiors by Swiss jewelry brand, de Grisogono. It will brag a floating infinity pool set between the two towers, complete with a diamond surface that sparkles at night.
DAMAC properties is also the mastermind behind Chic Tower in Business Bay. It is also branded by Swiss master jeweler de Grisogono, and has wellness in focus. The piece de resistance? An 180-metre-long lazy river, laced through the centre of the 30-story skyscraper.

Spotify highlights data challenges in Egypt in latest campaign

For many people in Egypt, music is part of the daily routine – whether you're on the move, waiting your turn, or trying to tune out the noise. But when mobile data runs low, even listening to your favourite songs can feel like a trade-off. Spotify has introduced a data saver feature designed to reduce data usage by up to 90 per cent while listening to music. To inform users about this option, Spotify ran a campaign in Egypt with the message: keep your music, save your data. 'Mobile data is expensive, and for many users, that makes streaming music feel like a luxury. Our goal was to challenge that perception by spotlighting a feature designed to break that barrier,' says Umar Achraf, Spotify's Marketing Manager – Egypt. He adds, 'This campaign aimed to raise awareness around the feature – making music streaming easier, more convenient, and always within reach.' Everyday moments, familiar feelings The campaign centres on everyday moments that many people will find familiar – when your data is running out and suddenly everything around you feels louder, busier, and more distracting. These scenes are brought to life through two locally inspired TVCs. The six-week nationwide campaign features a 360° media rollout across Egypt, including TV commercials with local relevance, billboards lining Cairo's busiest streets, metro station takeovers, Spotify-branded buses, radio, digital, and social media amplification to reach users wherever they are. 'From billboards and buses to in-app integrations, this was a truly 360° campaign designed to meet people wherever they are,' says Achraf. Beyond the TVCs, the campaign extended across social media, radio, out-of-home, and influencer activations. It featured local artists and curated playlists, all designed to show how music streaming fits seamlessly into people's daily routines even when data is limited but the need for good music isn't. 'We teamed up with 13 TikTok creators who brought humour, energy, and relatability. From skits about running out of data to creative challenges, their content made Data Saver feel like a must-have, not just a feature,' says Umar Achraf, Spotify's Marketing Manager – Egypt. In both scenarios, the listener enjoying music gets a data usage warning, and finds themselves overwhelmed by their surroundings. Using they data saver feature, they are able to resume listening to music – bringing a bit of calm back. By meeting people in the moments that matter, the data saver feature supports the demand for accessible music. The campaign results will be measured using a mix of brand and product performance indicators, including growth in Monthly Active Users (MAUs), improvements in top-of-mind awareness and consideration, and video completion rates on key social platforms. PSG rout Miami, Chelsea set up Palmeiras CWC quarters

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) easily eliminated Inter Miami and old friend Lionel Messi from the FIFA Club World Cup, outclassing the Herons 4-0 in the Round of 16 on Sunday. Joao Neves potted two goals before a Miami own goal and a strike by Achraf Hakimi bloated the margin to four by halftime. The European champions will face the winner between Bayern Munich and Flamengo in the quarterfinals on Saturday. Oscar Ustari recorded six saves for Inter Miami, while PSG's Gianluigi Donnarumma had to make just three after Miami was held without a shot attempt for the first 50 minutes. The match was Messi's first time facing PSG since leaving the club and coming to America two years ago. Desire Doue won PSG a free kick just outside the penalty area less than five minutes into the match. Vitinha took the kick and connected with Neves, who headed it on the run across Ustari's body and into the net. Miami defender Noah Allen took a tumble and subbed out due to injury in the 19th minute. His replacement, Tomas Aviles, immediately earned a yellow card by tripping up Nuno Mendes. PSG continued to control play until Neves doubled the advantage in the 39th minute. Fabian Ruiz dispossessed Sergio Busquets, and a quick passing sequence freed up Neves for an open shot from the center of the box. Aviles' unfortunate match continued when he accidentally chested a PSG cross over his own goal line in the 44th minute. Moments later, PSG's Bradley Barcola made a perfect run to receive a pass deep in the box, and he passed it back to Hakimi. His first shot ricocheted off Ustari's head and the crossbar, but Hakimi scored his own rebound for a 4-0 advantage. After a quiet first half, Messi was credited with Miami's first shot attempt in the 51st minute when he had a left-footer deflected over the net. Chelsea advance: Chelsea beat Benfica in a game which went on for close to five hours to set up a quarter-final showdown with Brazilian side Palmeiras at the tournament in the US. The London club were grateful to extra-time goals by Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to give them a 4-1 victory over Benfica. Their late burst of scoring settled a last-16 tie which took four hours, 39 minutes to complete at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina after a near two-hour weather delay. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca was left satisfied with his team's victory but slammed the delay that turned the tie into a near five-hour marathon. 'I think it's a joke, it's not football,' Maresca said. 'For 85 minutes we were in control of the game. We created enough chances to win the game. Then after the break, the game changed -- for me personally, it's not football.' Earlier, Chelsea had been seemingly poised for victory after Reece James' opportunistic second-half free-kick had left them 1-0 up with four minutes of regulation time remaining. But just as Chelsea began to think about their quarter-final assignment, the arrival of a storm over Charlotte triggered local safety protocols which required the game to be halted. It marked the sixth occasion during the Club World Cup that a game has been disrupted by a weather warning. When play resumed just under two hours later, a revitalised Benfica grabbed an injury-time equaliser after Chelsea substitute Malo Gusto was adjudged to have handled in the penalty area following an intervention by the Video Assistant Referee. Benfica's Argentine veteran Angel Di Maria stepped up to roll in an ice-cold penalty, sending the game into extra time. An end-to-end first half of extra time saw Benfica, reduced to 10 men following Gianluca Prestianni's second yellow card at the end of regulation, threaten to take the lead as they chased an improbable victory. But instead it was Nkunku who fired Chelsea back in front, the French international bundling in from close range after Moises Caicedo's low shot squirted underneath Benfica goalkeeper Antoliy Trubin. As the game opened up, Benfica were increasingly vulnerable on the counter-attack and Chelsea pounced. Neto made it 3-1 with a nerveless finish after going clean through on goal in the 114th minute, and three minutes later Dewsbury-Hall completed the rout to send Chelsea through to the last eight.
