Strangulation murder of 6-year-old boy stuns Malaysia
Malaysia whose body was found buried in a shallow grave by a roadside in a district in Pahang last week died after being strangled, police said on Wednesday.

The boy was reported missing from his home in Iskandar Puteri, Johor – more than 200km away – on July 24. His body was discovered two days later, following the arrest of his 36-year-old father.
His death has shocked Malaysians, with the arrest of his father over the alleged murder adding grim interest to the case.
Citing autopsy reports by the forensic department at the Rembau Hospital, Negeri Sembilan state police chief Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof confirmed the cause of death to the press.
'The cause of death is due to strangulation using cable ties. The medical team estimates that the victim died between 9am and 11am on July 23,' Ahmad Dzaffir said.

The victim was buried by a quiet road near a railway line in rural Rompin, surrounded by palm oil plantations and far from residential homes.

4 killed in shooting at Montana bar, manhunt launched for gunman
A shooting at a Montana bar left four people dead on Friday, prompting a lockdown in a neighbourhood several kilometres away as authorities searched for the suspect in a wooded area. The agency confirmed four people were pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, who was identified as 45-year-old Michael Paul Brown, lived next door to the bar, according to public records. Authorities said his home was cleared by a Swat team and that he was last seen in the Stump Town area, which is just west of Anaconda. More than a dozen officers from local and state police converged on that area, locking it down so no one was allowed in or out. A helicopter also hovered over a nearby mountainside as officers moved among the trees, said Randy Clark, a retired police officer who lives there. When a university student, drugged and sexually assaulted by her boss, ended up dead
'A wealthy businessman who killed a young student with chloroform after luring her to a hotel to film a pornographic video had made explicit videos of three of his employees,' reported the South China Morning Post on August 12, 1994. Luk, who had been knocked out with two bottles of chloroform, never regained consciousness and died in hospital two days later. 'Hon and Wong have denied murdering Luk at the Royal Park Hotel, Sha Tin, on July 24 last year but have admitted manslaughter. Hon, 33, described as a 'Hong Kong success story', got to know Luk after she joined his property company, Dairy Sky Industries, during a college holiday. 'Prosecutor Pat Loftus said Wong, 28, lured Luk to the hotel on the pretext of giving her a birthday party. Wong's defence counsel, Niall Stirling, said the former karaoke hostess had been 'infatuated' with Hon, who held considerable influence over her. The pair had started an affair after Hon suggested Wong could repay a $50,000 loan with sexual favours at $5,000 a time. Mr Stirling said: 'He told her he would like to treat her as a mistress, but he wanted to shoot a videotape of her as some sort of token he would retain. 'Wong was given seven years' jail for her part in what Mr Justice Leonard yesterday described as a 'horrifying, wicked scheme'. The High Court judge said Hon had carried out a 'carefully planned' assault on Luk to gratify his own 'perverted sexual inclinations'.
