DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — After the damaging remnants of Hurricane Helene destroyed its iconic marquee signage, a local drive-in theater will soon reopen to the public.

The Dixie Twin Drive-In's longstanding theater marquee was destroyed on Sept. 27, 2024, by Helene's strong winds.
Fast forward a day over six months and the theater will host its 2025 soft grand opening. The soft grand opening is scheduled to take place between March 28th and the 30th.
The drive-in theater will be screening the Academy-Award nominated films 'Wicked' and 'The Substance,' beginning Friday.
On Sunday, the theater will operate on behalf of the Paris Flea Market.
The theater will have its official grand opening between April 4 and 6. This is the theater's 69th year of operation.
As far as a new sign is concerned, Victor Bonacore, the theater's new manager, said on Living Dayton Tuesday that the sign should arrive in Mid-April.

2025 Las Culturistas Culture Awards: How to watch Bowen Yang and Matt Roger's first televised LCCAs tonight

Culturistas, brace yourselves, because for the first time ever, the Las Culturistas Culture Awards, hosted by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, are going to be televised! That's right, this Tuesday, Aug. 5, you can find out who wins for 'Worst Sticky Feeling,' 'We Could See Boop! Award For Best Thing To See,' and more when the LCCAs air on Bravo (and then stream the following day on Peacock). 'The word 'culture' is defined as 'the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively,'' Rogers and Yang said in a statement. 'We are so thrilled to eliminate that whole 'intellectual' part entirely with the LCCA's airing on Bravo and Peacock this August, alongside our partners at Lionsgate," the pair added. "Because while what the world needs now might be love sweet love, it also needs to see an Oscar-winning actress and a Real Housewife come together to present a very heavy award to Oprah, if we can book her. Oprah, u up?!' The awards show was prerecorded in July and will feature appearances from Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Franco, Alison Brie, Reneé Rapp, Remi Wolf, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jack Quaid and more. Watch George Clooney and Adam Sandler in first trailer for Noah Baumbach's awards-bound film ‘Jay Kelly'

'Do you know how difficult it is to be yourself?' On Tuesday, Netflix released the first official teaser trailer for Jay Kelly, Noah Baumbach's upcoming comedy-drama starring George Clooney as an aging movie star grappling with his legacy, with Adam Sandler as his longtime manager. The trailer follows the duo as they travel across Europe, weaving through picturesque landscapes and emotionally charged conversations. Sandler's character pointedly asks, 'Does none of this mean anything to you?' and later presses, 'Are you running to something or from something?' Clooney's Jay Kelly stares at his own reflection, repeating his name over and over before asking: "How can I play people when I don't touch people?" WHO'S IN THE CAST? In addition to Sandler and Clooney, the star-studded ensemble includes Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Jim Broadbent, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig, Alba Rohrwacher, and Emily Mortimer. This marks the first on-screen collaboration between Clooney and Sandler, as well as the return of several Baumbach regulars, including Dern (Marriage Story). Jay Kelly is co-written by Baumbach and Mortimer, who also appears in the film. The project is produced by Amy Pascal, David Heyman and Baumbach. Cinematography is by Oscar winner Linus Sandgren (La La Land), with a score by three-time Oscar nominee Nicholas Britell (Moonlight, Succession). AWARDS CHANCES? With a Venice Film Festival premiere, a fall release date, and a creative team that includes multiple Oscar nominees and winners, Jay Kelly is shaping up to be one of Netflix's strongest contenders this year. Early buzz suggests the film could be a breakout for Sandler in a supporting dramatic role, potentially earning him long-overdue recognition from the Academy. WHEN CAN I WATCH IT?
