Hollywood superstar Jason Momoa has shaved his iconic and beloved beard off, revealing immediately after that he 'hates' the result.
'Haven't shaved in six years, and here we are again,' Momoa wrote on Instagram.
In a video of the shave-down, Momoa said: 'Damn, I hate it.'
The Aquaman, Dune and Minecraft star revealed that the trim was the 'kick-off' for his role in Dune 3.
'This is the kick-off for Dune 3. Only for you, Denis,' he said, mentioning Dune filmmaker Denis Villeneuve.
In the first Dune instalment, Momoa stars as Duncan Idaho, a skilled and trusted swords master who trains main character Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet.

Although Momoa hates his new baby-face look, the star might be grateful for the attention it is bringing to a cause close to his heart.
The Hawaii-born actor has been working for over six years on an aluminium bottled water project called Mananalu.
'I want to tell you guys, and inform people that Mananalu, powered by Boomerang, is out there trying to make change,' he said.
Momoa explained that he launched Mananalu to help eliminate single-use plastic.
With the new partnership, which was announced in the beard-trimming video, Momoa said the company could bring in 'a closed-loop system that sanitises and bottles water onsite'.
'That means even less waste, reduced shipping footprint, and our aluminium bottles get reused over and over.
'This is the future, and we're starting in Hawai'i.
'Let's get rid of single-use plastic.
'For our children and for our planet. All my aloha.'
The cause was applauded by Momoa's followers, regardless of how they felt about his new appearance.
'You look handsome either way, I am a huge fan of the beard however!' one fan wrote.
'He is beautiful no matter what. Thanks for using your platform for good,' wrote another.

Jason Momoa believes it's his 'destiny' to tell the story of Hawaii

Jason Momoa believes it's his "destiny" to tell the story of Hawaii. The Aquaman star explores his Hawaiian heritage in new Apple TV+ series Chief of War - which tells the story of the unification of the islands at the turn of the 18th century - and he is convinced the stars have aligned to bring him to a place in his career where he could show the lives of his ancestors onscreen. He told PEOPLE: "I feel like this whole thing has chosen me in a way, like this is my destiny," he says. "I have no idea how I got to all this, but we're here, and I'm very grateful. I'm living my dream doing what I love to do. To play my ancestors is such a responsibility. It's scary and exciting." Jason added: "My dad is a coach at an outrigger canoe club, which is where I learned how to surf. "Just this morning, the sand pulled back and revealed massive petroglyphs [ancient carvings] right in the place where I grew up. It's kind of insane. I've never experienced that before." The actor also got the chance to write and direct while working on the show and he has insisted he's finally get the chance to show a different side to himself. He told the Metro newspaper: "It's my heart and soul. This has been in me my whole life. I'm ready. Put it on me. " I feel like I've been mismanaged and people don't really know who I am, since the beginning, so now I finally get a chance to [show] 'No, I can direct and write'." Jason went on to applaud bosses at Apple for taking a chance on a show about Hawaii's history, adding: "It's a bold thing to do. "I think Apple had a lot of trust in us, because there's nothing to prove it against. No one's ever heard the language. There's a lot of actors that have never been seen before. It's a lot ... "There's a lot of change and a lot to bring back of a culture that was … Our language is banned from us and we're getting it back. A lot of our art … We're part of America and I don't think anyone really knows anything about us. "[We] really have to celebrate Apple for just taking on something that's this big, and putting the trust in me ... "

‘We have lost a formidable talent and a dear friend': Gallipoli and BMX Bandits actor David Argue dead at 65

Aussie actor David Argue, best known for his roles in iconic Aussie films Gallipoli, BMX Bandits and Razorback, has died at age 65. The Melbourne-born star passed away on Wednesday following a battle with cancer. Throughout a glittering four decade career, Argue built up an impressive CV as a character actor on stage and screen and rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. The veteran actor's big screen debut came in the 1981 blockbuster Gallipoli as the young digger Snowy. Argue memorably played the hapless criminal Whitey in the 1983 cult film BMX Bandits alongside future superstar Nicole Kidman. He would go on to pick up an AACTA Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for the performance, and also scored another nomination for his role in the film Going Down. In 1995, Argue appeared in the miniseries Correlli alongside future husband and wife Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness. The Victorian Actors Benevolent Trust led the tributes to Argue on social media, describing him as a 'remarkably talented and much-loved actor'. 'He had the rare gift of making any character he played utterly unique and totally believable,' the organisation said in a statement. 'In recent years, as David's health declined, the VABT was able to provide much-needed assistance and emotional support. 'In return, David had no hesitation in championing our work, most recently with a deeply personal and humorous reflection at our Trivia Fundraiser. 'We have lost a formidable talent and a dear friend.'
