Radio star quits top-rated breakfast show

A beloved radio star has quit Melbourne's number one FM breakfast show.
Jack Post, who co-hosts Gold FM's The Christian O'Connell Show, broke the news to listeners on Monday morning.
'It has been one of the hardest decisions I've had to make in my life,' Post wrote on Instagram.
'I love this show deeply, and it has given me so much. But there is something in my gut telling me it's time to close this chapter and write the next one.
'It's time to step away again, make space, and see what's next,' he wrote.
Discussing his decision on air, Post said he has no idea what he'll do for work when he co-hosts the radio show for the final time this Friday.
'There is no plan … and it scares me, terrifies me, but it also excites me and fills me with joy,' he said on Gold FM.
'I think I have to say goodbye, breathe some space into my life away from this radio show and see what comes next and what creative energy returns to me.'
Post said the brutal hours of breakfast radio contributed to his decision.
'Sometimes when you pull back, the whole thing does feel like an endurance challenge, day after day, week after week, year after year, doing these hours,' he said.
'Sometimes it does feel like running a marathon, and I'm just at the end of what I can give and run for this show, even though I love it so much.'
O'Connell praised Post for his brave decision.
'To actually have the real courage to listen to your own life and what it's asking of you, most of us at various times don't listen to that calling, we've denied it for a bit, but you actually did slow down and really did listen to that calling and you've taken a huge decision for you.'
Post, who was previously heard on Hamish and Andy's radio show, has been a part of The Christian O'Connell Show since it began seven years ago.
'Knowing Christian has been one of the most profound relationships of my life,' Post wrote on Instagram.
'It is the defining friendship of my 30s, and his impact on me will last forever. I've so much more to say about him, but for now I will simply say: I love you, mate. Thank you for everything.'

Are Professor Student Relationships Ever Ok? w/ Madison Griffiths

When it comes to professor student relationships, a lot of people argue 'if everyone's an adult' and 'if everyone's consenting' there's nothing wrong with the dynamic. But Author Madison Griffiths disagrees. In this chat with Dee Salmin, Madison unpacks her new book Sweet Nothing which explores four women's experiences dating and sleeping with their professors - and how gender and power imbalances make the relationships so much more nuanced than consent. Israel's not-so-secret nuclear weapons

It's widely accepted that Israel has nuclear weapons. How many? Well, it's impossible to know because to this day the Israeli government has never officially confirmed or denied that it possesses a nuclear arsenal at all, instead it maintains a policy of 'strategic ambiguity'. In truly one of the most extraordinary stories we've told on this show - we get to the bottom of how Israel hides its nukes, how we found out about them, and why the global community seems to be fine with it. Nicole Kidman's niece begs for a job after ‘risky' move to London

Nicole Kidman's niece is on the job hunt after making a 'risky' move from Australia to London. Lucia Hawley begged for 'someone to hire [her] please' while describing her relocation via Substack on Monday, per Page Six. 'On paper, this is a totally stupid decision, and honestly, frightens me,' the 26-year-old wrote, explaining that she has a 'risk-averse' personality. 'My body quite literally rejects the idea of both moving overseas being unemployed,' she continued. However, Lucia admitted that she'd experienced a 'difficult' six months in her career while 'lack[ing] direction and fac[ing] numerous rejections in the pursuit of something better.' She wrote, 'This period was pretty taxing on my confidence, and I eventually began to feel like there was just simply not much left for me in Sydney (at least for now).' The former 7Bravo host, who is one of Kidman's sister Antonia Kidman's four children with late husband Angus Hawley, called the life change a 'traumatic' one. 'Saying goodbye to Henry was incredibly difficult,' Lucia wrote of her boyfriend. 'Sometimes I am left baffled by his unwavering support and blind belief in me, championing everything I do,' she gushed of her partner. 'This kind of love — true, safe love — makes you feel like you can do anything. 'Even harder were the goodbyes to my family,' Lucia continued. 'I kissed my little brothers through floods of tears.' Nonetheless, the choice remains 'exciting' and 'freeing' for Nicole's family member. 'I believe home to be a feeling,' she told readers. 'Having a strong network of people who support you is what truly enables you to navigate the world with confidence and self-assurance.' With loved ones backing her, 'failing can seem so much less inconsequential,' Lucia explained. She concluded by pointing out that 'if it all fails, [she will] always have home.' Lucia is close with her famous aunt, and they recently enjoyed a family vacation in Croatia.
