
Emirates Group Launches ForsaTEK 2025 to Drive Innovation in Aviation and Technology
The Emirates Group has opened the third edition of ForsaTEK, its annual innovation platform, highlighting advancements in artificial intelligence, robotics, and emerging tech designed to transform aviation and travel services.
Held at the Group's headquarters in Dubai, the event brought together government officials, executives, and global experts to explore how technology and human ingenuity can drive progress across the industry. This year's forum featured over 40 showcases, ranging from early-stage prototypes to fully scaled innovations.
Key highlights included autonomous drones for cargo inventory, AI-driven aircraft turnaround systems, self-guided mobility aids for the visually impaired, and augmented reality-based maintenance solutions. The event also spotlighted inclusive travel tech and sustainability-focused concepts.
A dedicated pitch zone featured 13 startups presenting their solutions to investors and industry leaders, while youth and employee engagement areas showcased innovation journeys and idea incubation.
The Emirates Group also unveiled Afkar , a new digital platform empowering employees to submit ideas for implementation. The winning concept—automated visa validation for travelers—aims to further streamline the passenger experience.
ForsaTEK 2025 reinforced the Group's vision to build a digital ecosystem that embraces innovation at every stage of the business and supports the UAE's ambitions in artificial intelligence and future readiness.

This was revealed in new data compiled by the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW), a German energy research institute. The figures include fully electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids, and electric cars with range extenders. China led the global market with 31.4 million electric vehicles, accounting for more than 50 percent of the worldwide total. The United States followed in second place with 6.4 million vehicles. Germany ranked third with 2.6 million, while the United Kingdom and France each reported approximately 2.1 million. Norway recorded just over 1 million electric vehicles. However, growth in the global electric vehicle fleet showed signs of slowing. In 2024, the number of electric vehicles grew by 13.8 million slightly lower than the 14.2 million increase reported in 2023. Key highlights: China accounts for over half of all electric vehicles worldwide. U.S. and Germany follow in second and third positions, respectively. This strategic partnership with the Federal Youth Authority reflects our Emiratisation team's ongoing commitment to empowering youth, in line with the UAE's National Youth Agenda 2031. We hope it will motivate our entire community to keep innovating, dream big, and further build on the successes of the Group. Today's youth are tomorrow's leaders. We will continue to invest in them, ensuring they are future-ready to drive our nation's achievements across all fronts – including travel and aviation.' Earlier this year, the cohort was recognised among the top three private sector youth councils in the UAE at the Youth Councils Forum 2025.
