Positions of need have been addressed this summer, notably left-back, right-back and striker, in addition to bringing in a promising goalkeeper who can push Alisson over the next few years.
But each of the decisions you make in the transfer market have a direct influence on the prospects of your academy talents, making it harder or easier for them to eventually get a chance in the first-team.
When an extraordinary talent comes around, you have to make sure to not block their pathway.
Ngumoha needs a chance in Arne Slot's side this season
In 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha, Liverpool have a potential generational player, who is already delivering at levels far beyond his age. Pre-season has fans incredibly excited about what he could become.
Playing at left-wing, the teenager is comfortable taking on his man and creating his own space in tight offensive situations. These are the type of attributes that give you goosebumps as an onlooker.
Liverpool need to have different dynamics in the side and a piece of individual brilliance can sometimes be enough to crack open a game. Ngumoha is very much capable of delivering that.
Of course, he is still incredibly young and his game will need to mature before he gets a real crack at breaking into the first team, but you feel his raw talent can make a difference for us already.

'A definite step up in attitude and application'

We asked for your views on Dundee United's 2-2 draw against Falkirk. Here's what some of you said: Kieran: Fair result at a ground we have struggled at in previous seasons. Performance was miles better than what we saw in the two legs against UNA Strassen. Panutche Camara could be an early shout for POTY a midfield machine. Onto Vienna we go on Thursday Ricky: We have to learn how to play on a plastic pitch. Every time we play on one we struggle more. Bad mistakes cost us the game, we have to be more positive and pass the ball better - it's either too long or to short. Jim: Thought all the new players have began to bed into the team more than in past performances but worried that with injuries to Ryan Strain, Kristijan Trapanovski and Will Ferry the subs bench look a bit bare of experience. Terry: Three games in and we are sitting with two wins in Europe and an away draw in the league opener. Hardly a crisis! Kenny: Much better. Camara had a great game and we were unlucky not to pick up all three points. A good shift from the whole team and a definite step up in attitude and application. Two great goals! Steve: After looking ragged despite progressing in Europe, United showed signs in Falkirk that they're settling and beginning to develop better understandings. Some good individual performances too. A decent start. Uddy: Some really positive signs throughout the game that this new squad is starting to gel. Some of the football we played was really encouraging. Just a shame it was the basics that let us down - Falkirk's second equaliser being the perfect example. Regardless of that, I feel far more positive after this performance than I was after the matches on the last two Thursday nights when struggling past UNA Strassen. Rapid Vienna will be a far tougher test, but that's exactly what being in Europe is all about.

CHAN 2024 – Group B: Madagascar and Mauritania share the spoils (0-0)

CHAN 2024 – Group B: Madagascar and Mauritania share the spoils (0-0) No winner was found between Madagascar and Mauritania as both teams kicked off their CHAN 2024 campaign with a goalless draw this Saturday, August 3, in Dar es Salaam. The Barea got off to a bright start. Captain and midfield maestro Dax Andrianarimanana tried to spark things early, but his night was cut short in the 39th minute. After picking up a second yellow card, Madagascar was reduced to ten men. Down a man, the Malagasy fought valiantly. Their goalkeeper, Michel Ramandimbisoa, shone with several crucial saves. Solid and disciplined, Rakotondrabe's men held firm until the final whistle. Mauritania pushed hard for a breakthrough. Moctar El Hacen thought he had won it late on, but his strike whistled just past the top corner. Despite dominating possession, the Mourabitounes couldn't find the finishing touch. This draw leaves both teams level in what is shaping up to be a wide-open Group B.

Brighton & Hove Albion sign Spanish youth international forward Camacho

Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of highly-rated Spanish youth international forward Carla Camacho on a free transfer. WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls this morning. The 20-year-old attacker joins Brighton & Hove Albion after leaving former club Real Madrid earlier this summer. Camacho came through The Whites' youth ranks before breaking into the club's B team. The youngster has been in and around the first team squad for the last four years and has provided some additional competition in the attacking areas. On the international stage, Camacho has represented Spain at various youth levels up to and including Under-19 level. She won the FIFA Under-17 Women's World Cup in 2022 and UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship the following year. After adding Camacho to his squad, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidošić said 'We're pleased to have Carla with us. She has a good pedigree at Real Madrid and is looking forward to experiencing a new challenge in the WSL. 'She will need time to settle in but we're looking forward to watching her progress and develop with us.' Camacho is Brighton & Hove Albion's fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
