Katy Perry has sparked speculation about her "life purpose" by sharing a cryptic message on her Instagram days after allegedly spliting from Orlando Bloom.
The couple have seen ups and downs since they first dated in 2016. They went Instagram official in May 2016 when the musician shared a funny photo of herself and Orlando dressed in bathrobes on the steps of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cannes, France.
This isn't the first time the high-profile duo has reportedly parted ways. Katy and Orlando, who initially got together in 2016, called it quits in 2017. They rekindled their romance in 2018 and announced their engagement the following year. That same year, they also decided to cohabit. The couple welcomed their little girl, Daisy Dove, into the world in August 2020.
Katy reposted a video from a digital guru who uses "the laws of the universe" to transform lives, suggesting that mastering these laws can "heal" one's life. In the shared clip, the guru stated, "The phase of the moon that was during your date of birth determines your purpose."
Katy, known for hits like Teenage Dream, shared the video without adding any personal commentary, leaving fans to wonder if she was hinting at her own life's purpose. The video explained that those born during a Waning Crescent moon phase are here to "If you were born on a Waning Crescent, you are here to complete the mission that you feel. You are closing chapters no longer beneficial to the collective. You are laying groundwork for new beginnings. Your role is to be a savior to others."
The singer also updated her fans with clips from her live performances, including a compilation from The Lifetimes Tour, showcasing her energetic stage presence. As she continues her international tour in Australia, she captioned her concert footage, "ONLY 4 SHOWS LEFT IN AUSTRALIA LFG ADELAIDE."
Notably, Katy's social media activity seemed to sidestep the recent news about her split from Orlando Bloom, with a source telling US Weekly, "Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It's not contentious at the moment."
As the story unfolded, it was shared that "Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life," reports Mirror US.
Prior to this, a source close to the couple shed light on their strained relationship, admitting, "It's true they're spending time apart."
The strain between them became evident when it was revealed, "They have been spending more and more time apart. They've grown apart and aren't living the same lives anymore."
