How much every Premier League club charge for shirts as eye-watering prices rocket

Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Arsenal, are charging a staggering £85 for their latest kit, with fans facing another hike - and families hit hardest
Millions of football fans are facing a hike in the cost of replica shirts this season - with families hardest hit. Premier League giants including manchester -united-fc> Manchester United and Arsenal, are charging a staggering £85 for their latest kit.

The mega wealthy clubs have both slapped £5 on to the price of their shirts, amid calls to stop pushing fans' loyalty. Man City, Newcastle Utd, Liverpool and Aston Villa have also increased prices by the same amount, the equivalent of six per cent.

Tottenham froze its shirt price at £85, while Chelsea froze prices at £84.99. In total, 11 clubs have hiked prices of adult shirts this season, according to official club websites.

Everton, Brighton, Brentford and Crystal Palace raised prices by £5, while Wolves added a modest £2 to their shirts. Wolves and Premier League new boys Burnley and Sunderland are charging fans the lowest amounts for shirts, all priced at £60.
Everton, Tottenham and Chelsea are selling the most expensive kids' shirts. Everton increased the junior price by £10, taking the cost to £65, the equivalent of an 18 per cent price rise. Tottenham froze prices at £65, while Chelsea froze this season's child shirt price at £64.99.
Arsenal, Aston Villa, Man Utd, Leeds United and Crystal Palace have all increased prices by £5. At the other end of the spectrum, Brentford and Wolves have the cheapest shirts, priced at £45. The average price of a Premier league kids shirt has reached £56.25
.Inflation-busting price rises are fuelling a black market in fake shirts. They are sold openly via social media, including one site called DHGate.
Newcastle Utd fan James Smith, 37, of Consett, Co Durham, was at St James Park with children Freddie, 10, and Elsie, eight, this weekend. He said: "I don't know many people who are willing to pay £70 or £80 for a shirt when you can get a fake one for £15.

"I think most fans would be prepared to pay £50 for a shirt and maybe £35 for a junior kit. Many people get the retro shirts these days but even more are going to DHGate. They are selling them for £15 and there is still a margin for profit for them.
"The only way you get a genuine one these days is as a gift for Christmas or birthdays. They are just too much for ordinary fans, especially if you have kids. People also buy the away or third choice kit as they don't change as often."
Claire Nicholl, a university education manager, has just bought the new Newcastle United kit for her son Jack, 17. Both are loyal season ticket holders but Claire said: "You pick them up and think 'I am not paying that'. If you get a name of a player on the back then it is even more.

"But we have done that before and it is no good when the players are sold. We are true Newcastle supporters and season ticket holders. It would be different if the money for the shirts was going to the club to improve the stadium, or to sign players. But it is not."
Brentford's new kit has a one year-cycle, after previously running a two-year cycle, the only club in the Premier league to do so. This year, the club's home kit celebrates 100 years of red and white, and the club's partnership with front of shirt sponsor, Hollywoodbets, will end after 2025/26, in line with the Premier League's voluntary ban on front-of-shirt gambling sponsors.

It is understood the club intends to return to a two-year cycle, to keep their kits affordable and sustainable, subject to partnership agreements. Stadia Agency, a sports digital PR company, has spent months researching the black market in football shirts for Casino Kings, betting partners of Wigan Athletic and Hartlepool Utd. They found the average discount is 82.7 per cent on this season's adult shirt, or £62 off, and 76.1 per cent or £43 on the kids' version.
Several clubs, including Man City Newcastle, now sell the version of the shirt worn by players on the pitch; it costs £120 for the Toon top. It costs another £38 for the shorts, and £20 for the socks in the official Newcastle Utd club shop. The Magpies' green away shirt with the Premier League badge added is £95; it is £111 with a player's name on the back; the women's team replica shirt is £85. One seller told would-be buyers on DHGate: "Only £14. Don't pay Spurs £85!"

Fake Manchester United shirts were being offered online for 15 US dollars, the equivalent of £11.63. One fan posted a Red Devils shirt with the name on the back, selling for £140. He told his followers: "And you wonder why people go to other sites."
Newcastle is donating £5 from every adult shirt sold via official channels before the end of August to the Newcastle United Foundation, to boost grassroots and social impact initiatives across the North East. The Premier League has no control over pricing at individual clubs; their spokesperson declined to comment as did a spokesperson for Newcastle United.

England star decides 'preferred option' amid Liverpool and Newcastle interest

Marc Guehi has reportedly picked out Liverpool as his favoured option should he depart Selhurst Park, but Crystal Palace are still yet to receive any formal offers for the defender this summer. The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the most highly regarded and sought-after centre-backs in Premier League football since leaving boyhood team Chelsea for Palace back in 2021. A string of assured performances at Euro 2024 only enhanced Guehi's reputation and the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool all expressed an interest in signing the England international following last summer's tournament. Newcastle, in particular, pushed hard to get a deal over the line right up until the deadline, but saw several bids rejected for Guehi, who was subsequently named Palace's club captain ahead of the 2024/25 season. However, Guehi's future has once again been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks and the Magpies remain in the hunt for the Chelsea academy product, with Eddie Howe keen for defensive reinforcements at St James' Park. In The Mixer: Exclusive analysis, FPL tips and transfer talk sent straight to your inbox every week – click here and sign up before Friday to make sure you don't miss the first edition. According The Guardian's Ed Aarons, Guehi would be 'happy' to stay put at Palace to see out remainder of his contract, which is due to expire in June 2026. But Liverpool are said to be Guehi's 'preferred option' and the centre-half would jump at the chance to join the Premier League champions should the opportunity arise. While Palace have not yet been tempted with any bids for Guehi, the club could be prepared to do business should they receive an offer in the region of £40million. Guehi has made 155 appearances in all competitions across his four years at Selhurst Park and last season wrote himself into Palace history as he captained the club to FA Cup glory at Wembley. Prior to Palace's famous victory over Manchester City, Guehi refused to provide any assurances over his future with the Eagles. 'I think the most important thing is just always doing the best that I can for this football club. I come in every day and I try to be the same,' he said. 'I try to work hard. And you know, this football club has given me a lot. I'm still under contract at this football club, so my focus is always at this football club. 'So, you know, for me, the most important is just doing the best I can and seeing where the future holds.' Speaking to talkSPORT in June, Jermaine Pennant tipped Guehi to replace Ibrahima Konate at Anfield, with the latter rumoured to be attracting strong interest from Real Madrid. 'If Liverpool are in for Marc Guehi, that signals to me that Konate is more on the side of leaving,' the former Liverpool winger said. 'I'm thinking, is this a situation like Real Madrid and Trent Alexander-Arnold, where Liverpool are saying to Guehi, 'Just see your contract out and we will look after you'? 'Because Konate is in the same situation, he's in the last year of his contract and they haven't agreed a deal. 'So Liverpool might be saying to him, 'Look, Konate's going to go at the end of this season, Marc Guehi, you see out your contract and come, join us for a free and we're prepared to offer you this'. 'I could see that happening.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Follow Metro Sport for the latest news on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Man Utd told to sign £10m Newcastle star in summer transfer window

Ben Foster has urged his former club Manchester United to sign Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope in the summer transfer window. Foster feels the Red Devils are 'absolutely crying out for a goalkeeper' before the 2025-26 Premier League season gets underway in 10 days. United's No.1 goalkeeper Andre Onana picked up a hamstring injury last month and has not played in any of the club's friendlies over the summer. Onana is hoping to return for the start of the season – but even when he's been fit – he's faced widespread criticism for his performances and errors. United have been linked to a number of goalkeepers this summer and saw a loan bid rejected for Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez. In The Mixer: Exclusive analysis, FPL tips and transfer talk sent straight to your inbox every week – click here and sign up before Friday to make sure you don't miss the first edition. The Red Devils have also reportedly been interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain superstar Gianluigi Donnarumma. Foster, though, has urged United to take a look at Newcastle star Pope in the summer window, which remains open until September 1. Newcastle paid £10m to sign Pope from Burnley in 2022 – and Football Insider claim it would take £10-£15m to recruit him from the Magpies. The 33-year-old has been capped 10 times by England to date and faces competition from new signing Aaron Ramsdale at Newcastle this season. 'Manchester United are crying out for a goalkeeper, absolutely crying out for a goalkeeper,' Foster said on his YouTube channel. 'Honestly, you'd do so much worse than getting Nick Pope. Man United don't necessarily just go all-out play straight from the back, that's not their style anyway. 'I think Nick Pope can still play out from the back, by the way. I'm not demeaning him, he can still play out from the back. 'But if you're looking to get it to the forward areas as quickly as possible, Nick Pope is your boy. And he will stop goals, it's as simple as that. More Trending 'Onana's had this big injury at the start of pre-season, he's looking like he'll only get back fit maybe just for the start of the season. 'But you don't want that from your goalkeeper, you want him to have had four, five pre-season games under his best, weeks and weeks of training, get that into the legs. 'And there was also a lot of questions raised at the end of last season thinking he will probably not be the first-choice goalkeeper.' Pope has played a total of 95 games for Newcastle to date across all competitions and has plenty of Premier League experience.
