NFL uniform rankings: How do the Titans stack up?

The Tennessee Titans announced changes to their uniforms in 2025, making "Titans blue" the primary color on their home jerseys instead of navy. The Titans haven't made a ton of changes to their look over the last 25 years, but the players and fans seem to appreciate this update. Outside of Nashville, though, where do the Titans' jerseys stack up against the rest of the league? USA Today's Nate Davis analyzed and ranked each team's uniform, and the Titans dropped from their previous ranking.
Previous ranking: 23Current ranking: 29While teams like the Panthers are something of a mess, the Titans seem to at least understand less is more – though even that's problematic to a degree. They wore seven combinations in 2024, most notably the glorious Houston Oilers throwbacks, but had several more permutations at their disposal. However the Oilers unis won't come out of the closet this season – yes, the Titans left Texas in 1997 and took their branding with them – and 'Titans Blue' will become the primary home color (instead of navy). The whole thing is probably moot given a major redesign seems to be coming in 2026.
Considering that last month the Titans' uniforms were voted among the worst in the league, it's not overly surprising that they fell in Davis' rankings.
While the players and fans seem to love this year's uniform, it sounds like a full redesign is right around the corner, so next year this ranking might be very different.
The good news for the Titans is that it doesn't really matter what the uniforms look like. What matters is how they perform each Sunday for 17 weeks in the fall. Winning, fans might be more excited about what they are wearing, but losing? Fans don't care at that point. Losses suck, and they feel bad, and no one likes to lose, even if they look good. So, despite the lower ranking in what they will be wearing this fall, the Titans care more about their ranking on the field.

Lionel Messi extends MLS record-breaking streak, scoring two goals against Nashville SC
Lionel Messi scored two goals in Inter Miami's 2-1 victory over Nashville SC on Saturday, extending his record-breaking streak of scoring multiple goals in a Major League Soccer game to five. Victory marked Miami's fifth consecutive win too and snapped Nashville's 15-match unbeaten streak in the league. Messi opened the scoring in the 17th minute, threading a free kick from just outside the box through a hole in Nashville's defensive wall and into the corner of the net, past the outstretched fingertips of goalkeeper Joe Willis. That gave Miami a 1-0 lead until Nashville equalized just after halftime when Hany Mukhtar headed in Andy Nájar's perfectly-weighted cross. Not since 2012 when he played for Barcelona has Messi scored more than one goal in five consecutive league games, according to ESPN – though, admittedly, LaLiga is a very different league to the MLS. 'There aren't very many words. It's incredible what he continues to do,' Miami head coach Javier Mascherano told reporters afterward, per MLS. 'To break great records now every three days… I've said it a thousand times today; he is the flag for our team. 'He is the one. He's the leader. He shows us the way to compete.' Messi has scored 16 goals so far this season – with 10 of those, as well as five assists – coming in his last five games. Miami, meanwhile, is fifth in the Eastern Conference but with three games in hand on all the teams above them. A win in all three games – while no small feat – would put the team top of the league.

Who is the Commanders' player to root for not named Jayden Daniels or Terry McLaurin?
The Washington Commanders were the NFL's biggest surprise of the season. After years of losing and dysfunction, Washington finally turned things around last season, posting a 12-5 record and reaching the NFC Championship. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels was the catalyst, quickly becoming the NFL's next star quarterback. As a result, his jersey was a top seller. Daniels should be a fan favorite for years to come, unless you root for the Eagles, Cowboys, Giants, or Bears. Why Chicago? Bears' fans developed a strange obsession with Daniels after he outplayed No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams last season. Oh, and let's not forget, Daniels' Hail Mary to shock the Bears as time expired was so incredible that it won an award at NFL Honors. While Daniels is an obvious fan favorite, as is star wide receiver Terry McLaurin, what other Commanders' player should fans root for in 2025? Well, everyone loves a good comeback story. Right? Defensive tackle Daron Payne isn't coming back from injury, but is coming off two subpar seasons after a breakout season in 2022. This offseason, defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. and head coach Dan Quinn singled out Payne for having a "remarkable" offseason. Tom Blair of named one player from every team to root for in 2025 and made a compelling case for Payne as his choice. Many of us are already rooting for Jayden Daniels, because, duh, and for Terry McLaurin, because he's A) very good and B) paid his dues in the extreme as a mainstay of the franchise's pre-Daniels days. How about giving some love to the other roster stalwart who has Really Gone Through It in Washington? Jonathan Allen's departure this offseason leaves Payne (drafted 13th overall in 2018) as one of the longest-tenured Commanders, someone who's started 84 straight regular-season games for the team -- just 38 of which ended in victory, including 12 last season. The 28-year-old is as deserving as anyone of reveling in Washington's transformation into a legit contender. All the better if Payne, whose pressure rate and sack totals dipped after an 11.5-sack 2022 season, can translate the positive buzz he's been generating to a renewed dominance on the field. Allen probably would have been the choice if the team hadn't parted ways with him over the offseason. However, Blair makes a strong case for Payne. The eighth-year standout is dependable, having started every game in six of his seven NFL seasons to date. That's difficult as an interior defensive lineman. He also proved in 2022 that he could be a dominant force. The Commanders struggled to stop the run last season. Payne is capable of making a significant impact as a run defender and pass rusher. If he can do that, Washington fans will be chanting his name at Northwest Stadium as they hope for another deep playoff run.
