Man spends £12,480 to become a dog and practices rolling, sitting and paw
A man who spent more than £12,000 to become a life-size dog has announced that his human zoo is still open for business, after previously worrying that he wouldn't get enough bookings.
The Japanese man, who goes by the name Toco the dog, can often be spotted rolling on the floor and greeting confused passers-by in the park. He has since raked in a following of over 73,000 people on YouTube.
Toco had been living his dream of turning canine for several years, but despite his efforts to transform into his favourite breed, he still wasn't satisfied. He took his ambitions one step further by announcing that he would open a facility called the Tokotoko Zoo. For £250, visitors can dress up as an Alaskan Malamute, with hyper-realistic costumes with jaws that can open and close.
However, his bookings were not looking good at the start of this month. Toco wrote on social media: "Our opening day is Sunday, May 4, but if we do not receive any reservations by Saturday, April 19, we will close the store."

But things have since turned around with the zoo website issuing an update, stating that it will next open in the summer. "Our next business day is scheduled for after July. We will contact you as soon as it is confirmed," the notice said.
It was his lifelong dream to turn into a dog, and a talented costume company made his unusual request happen. Toco bought a realistic border collie costume from Zeppet, a Japanese agency known for creating sculptures and models for movies.
It reportedly took Zeppet 40 days to make the costume, as Toco kept adding improvements to make it perfect. "I made it a collie because it looks real when I put it on," Toco told Japanese news outlet Mynavi.
"My favourite is quadrupedal animals, especially cute ones. Among them, I thought that a big animal close to me would be good, considering that it would be a realistic model, so I decided to make it a dog. I met such a condition and made a collie, my favourite breed of dog."
When Toco was asked if he could move his limbs freely, he said that he is able to with resistance. He also explained that if he moves too much, he won't look like a realistic dog.
A Zeppet employee spoke about how the team found a way to create the skeleton structure of a dog, and spent a lot of time studying it. They said at the time: "In addition, we collect photographs taken from various angles so that the beautiful coat of the collie can be reproduced and devised so that the coat will flow naturally."
Toco, who has his own YouTube channel, shared a now-viral video of himself in the costume, titled: 'I tried to become a collie'. He can be seen rolling over for belly rubs, pretending to sit and lifting his paws.
Zeppet also shared a selection of images of the costume on Twitter, racking up thousands of likes and retweets.
Toco is still encouraging people to book a trip to his zoo. The website states: "Have you ever wanted to be an animal? Have you ever imagined yourself as something other than yourself and felt excited? We offer a service that can help make that wish come true, even if only a little, by having you wear a costume."

'A WOMAN has revealed what it's like having a husband who also has another wife. Tami Winder met her husband Colton 13 years ago, and the pair have been married for 12 years. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Colton is married to both Tami and Sophie Credit: Youtube 2 The pair admitted that plural marriage can be hard Credit: Youtube The couple are both Mormon and revealed that despite the Mormon church outlawing plural marriage, they still have always believed in "plural marriage". They remained a duo for a number of years before meeting Sophie, who became Colton's second wife. Both 'sister wives' have a physical relationship with Colton, but are not intimate with each other. For the first two years of their plural marriage, Sophie and Tami lived separately, so that they could ease into polygamy. When they finally all moved in together, Sophie and Tami realised that they didn't know each other at all, and struggled to adapt to their clashing personalities. This led to a number of misunderstandings, with Colton revealing that he sometimes felt like he was "standing in the middle of a tornado." Cowboy Colton now spends alternate nights with his two wives, which they both agree is one of the "hardest" parts of the marriage. Tami revealed that at times she feels like she is "falling short" as a wife, which is why Colton has a second wife. However, he insisted that his first wife is "perfect" the way she is. Tami said that she often feels jealous in the relationship, especially when Colton goes on a date with Sophie. First Dates hosts its very first throuple in new series However, she added that if she communicates these feelings to Colton and Sophie, they do their best to "alleviate" her issues. Date night happens once a month, with Colton either going on a separate date with each of his wives, or the three of them going out together. Only Tami is Colton's legal wife, as plural marriage is illegal in the state of Utah, where the trio lives. "Sophie is more of a spiritual marriage", Colton explained. What is polyamory? Polyamory is the practice of having romantic relationships with more than one person at the same time, with the knowledge and consent of all parties. It can refer to relationships where one person has multiple partners or spouses, or where all parties are in a relationship with each other, for example in a throuple. According to You Gov, 6.8% of people in the UK have been in a polyamorous relationship. He added that their way of life is frowned upon and that they live "outside the law." The trio have three children between them, which they all co-parent, and are aiming to continue to grow their family. Tami birthed one of the children, whilst Sophie birthed the other two. Determined to make her brood bigger, Tami is now using IVF, and revealed that she struggles with the fact that Sophie popped out two children in quick succession, whereas she has found it more difficult. "If you're sleeping with the same man, you think it's got to be something to do with you", she said. The trio agree that it can be really hard to live together, but added that it's all worth it because their children make their plural family feel "complete."

Britain's Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli quits after 2 years
Bruno Tonioli, who was formerly a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, has stepped away from the role on BGT due to other filming commitments. Rapper KSI, who featured as a guest judge on this year's series, is in talks to become Bruno's permanent replacement, according to The Sun. A show insider told The Sun: 'Bruno has officially quit Britain's Got Talent and they are hoping that KSI will replace him. "He absolutely loved being on the panel with Simon, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden but Bruno just can't juggle his schedule with filming. There is no bad blood and Bruno is leaving with a smile on his face.' Bruno's ongoing commitments include US dance competition Dancing With The Stars. Earlier this week, rumours had circulated about Bruno quitting the show as a source said: "The filming schedule in 2024 meant that Bruno could get away with not being present for filming one week of auditions." "But it would be virtually impossible for him to miss two weeks, because in the final edit, that equates to half the episodes in the new three-month run of BGT, which will air from February of 2026." The 69-year-old joined the judging panel in 2023 alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, following David Walliams' departure. Newcomer KSI, born Olajide 'JJ' Olatunji, is an internet personality, musician and boxer. Recommended Reading: Who is Britain's Got Talent judge KSI?
