'Star Wars' Actor Kenneth Colley Dies At 87
Kenneth Colley, best known for starring as Admiral Piett in the original 'Star Wars' series and 'Jesus in Monty Python's Life of Brian,' died on June 30. He was 87. The British actor died at his home in Kent, England, after contracting Covid and developing pneumonia, according to multipleoutlets. 'Ken Colley was one of our finest character actors with a career spanning 60 years,' Colley's agent, Julian Owen, said in a statement to People on Thursday. 'Ken continually worked on stage, film and television playing a vast array of characters, from Jesus in 'Monty Python's Life of Brian' to evil and eccentric characters in Ken Russell films, and the Duke of Vienna in Shakespeare's 'Measure for Measure' for the BBC.' Colley was initially admitted to a hospital after he injured his arm after suffering a fall. He then rapidly contracted COVID that developed into a pneumonia diagnosis, according to Owen. Owen said Colley 'passed away peacefully with friends at his bedside.' Social media users on X, formerly Twitter, mourned Colley's death. Nicole Paggi has been recast as Maxie in place of Kirsten Storms in General Hospital. The 41-year-old is known for her role in Pasadena, Hope & Faith, One on One, Cielito Lindo, Girls Talk, and many more. No, Kirsten Storms has not left General Hospital permanently. Paggi has temporarily taken over Storms's role on the show due to the latter's scheduling conflicts. This is not the first time Storms has been temporarily replaced in General Hospital. In 2011, she took a medical leave from the show due to her battle with endometriosis. During her absence, Jen Lilley was roped in to play Maxie Jones. Further, in 2016, Storms was replaced by Molly Burnett as the former needed time to recover from skin issues. Burnett reprised the role in 2018 for a brief while when Storms was down with the flu. In 2021, Storms took another medical break after she underwent brain surgery. At that time, Maxie's character was sent on a long trip to Texas to accommodate the leave. Nicole Paggi was last seen as Maxie in December 2023 to fill in for Storm's absence. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Storms shared her first reaction to her recast, stating, 'I would be lying if I didn't say that I was taken aback a bit by it.' She continued, 'I would prefer that someone play Maxie and be playing Maxie well to keep the character relevant and in the soap world still because it doesn't take much for a character to die off and for somebody else to come in and be in a front-burner storyline.
