Chesterfield Polish festival is a 'celebration of our heritage'
Organisers said they hoped to surpass the number of people who attended last year and added the event helped Polish people in the area connect with each other. But last year's event had people from Sheffield, Manchester and from Poland itself attending.Ms Kuc said they were hoping to build on its prior success."This was initially an idea to connect Polish people around Chesterfield - but this was also a way to show other people our culture, traditions, food and history."It has grown now we have access to the rugby club, and we've had people come from all over including Ukrainians and British people from around the area, so it's starting to become more visible, improving integration with many different people."Ms Kuc said the festival, which runs from 12:00 BST to 16:00, is free to attend with food, live music, entertainment and stalls selling Polish produce.

Strawberries and pasta? Iga Swiatek's unique Wimbledon tradition
Iga Swiatek explained that it's a dish from her native Poland. 'Why is it such a big thing? Everybody should eat that,' a smiling Swiatek said after her third-round victory over Danielle Collins on Saturday. 'I think in summer kids are eating it a lot. I don't know. It's just a perfect mix of tastes.' The All England Club estimates that more than 35 tons of strawberries — usually with cream — are eaten each year during the two-week tournament. Spectators can buy strawberry-inspired merchandise all over the grounds. The five-time Grand Slam champion posted a photo on her Instagram account that showed a bowl of pasta and strawberries with what appeared to be cream as well. A journalist quizzed her about who has better strawberries, Poland or England? 'Honestly, I think Poland," Swiatek said. "Because we have better climate for strawberries, right? Now Wimbledon is probably going to ban me from answering these questions.' ___
