It's not often you hear Mozart and Schubert, jazz, cerdd dant and Fleetwood Mac all in the same programme, but so it was at the Celebrating Talent concert at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor on 4 July.

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham 'tease Fleetwood Mac reunion' with posts

Fleetwood Mac's estranged lovers Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham have caused fans to 'crash out' with a matching pair of social media posts. The Landslide hitmakers have had a turbulent personal and professional relationship over the years, with the band's chart-topping studio album Rumours written at the time of their breakup in the 70s. The musical duo last performed on stage together in January 2018, with reports of a significant disagreement between the pair over their working schedule sealing the deal on their professional breakup. After bandmate Christine McVie's death in November 2022, the band seemed pretty set on never reuniting on stage, with Stevie focusing on her successful solo career. In a pair of posts made to Instagram earlier today the lead singer, 77, and former guitarist, 75, seemed to imply the almost decade-long rupture might finally be at an end. On Stevie's account she posted the lyrics from 1973 hit Frozen Love: 'And if you go forward' which comes from Buckingham Nicks' only album. Then, Lindsey completed the line with his own post reading: 'I'll meet you there'. There's no denying the two posts are linked in style, theme and timing – leading fans to the conclusion that a longawaited reunion could finally be happening. And everyone is spiralling. 'Glad I was already planning on crashing out today!' yogimagee wrote on Instagram. 'IM GOING TO THROW UP WHATS HAPPENING,' maddieshonholtz added. 'WHAT DOES THIS MEAN' stevienicksnation echoed. Some are sepculating it could mean just a Buckingham Nicks reunion while others think the whole gang could be getting back together. Regardless, everyone wants to see Lindsey and Stevie singing the 1977 tune Silver Springs together live on stage after it recently went viral on TikTok in a trend recounting the pair's heartwrenching romance. 'Forget FM for a minute, just give us a Buckingham Nicks tour please,' andymacphee comics declared. 'Fleetwood Mac reunion in 2025?? A girl can dream,' ahs_adn shared. 'Tell us what's happening before I completely crash out please and thank you,' mejennamarie declared. 'It feels amazing to be alive to witness the stars align like this, It was written,' drimaued shared. Whatever this is, a Fleetwood Mac reunion does still seem unlikely. In June 2024, Stevie told Mojo magazine: 'Without Christine, no can do… There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn't work.' More Trending This doesn't rule out an onstage reunion between just these two or remastering of their record , however. Or it could just be their way of telling their fans that the hatchet has finally been buried – time will tell. In an interview with Rolling Stone in October 2024 she said about Lindsey: 'I dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could. You could not say that I did not give him more than 300 million chances.' Meanwhile, last year bandmate Mick Fleetwood added: 'Stevie's able to speak clearly about how she feels and doesn't feel, as does Lindsey. But I'll say, personally, I would love to see a healing between them.' Maybe his wish has finally come true. Got a story? Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham cryptically post lyrics, prompting landslide of reactions from fans

Hope (silver) springs eternal. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham posted matching excerpts from their 1973 song 'Frozen Love' on Thursday, prompting speculation among fans that something more may be coming. Nicks, who is scheduled to begin a solo U.S. tour in August, shared on X a white background image with black cursive text that read, 'And if you go forward …' About an hour later, Buckingham posted the lyric's second half: 'I'll meet you there.' The lyric is the final line of 'Frozen Love,' a track from 'Buckingham Nicks,' the only album the two released as a duo before joining Fleetwood Mac in 1975. Nicks and Buckingham — and more pointedly their tumultuous personal relationship — remain a pop culture symbol of intense romance followed by even more intense heartbreak, fueled in part by a live performance of 'Silver Springs' that has remained a fixture online. The pair had a complicated personal and professional history — both as former romantic partners and as bandmates. Their arrival in Fleetwood Mac in the 1970s helped usher the band's most commercially successful era, but Buckingham was dismissed from the band in 2018, and the pair have not performed together since. The apparently coordinated nature of the posts, which came just one day after Mick Fleetwood shared an Instagram video of himself listening to 'Frozen Love,' raised questions about whether the former bandmates might be planning something together. In the video, Fleetwood removes his headphones and calls the song 'unbelievable.' 'The marriage of Stevie and Lindsey, the marriage of coming into Fleetwood Mac when they did, it's all in this song,' he said. 'It was magic then, it's magic now.' Buckingham and Nicks both liked Fleetwood's post and recently began following each other on Instagram — a change noticed by fans who flooded the comments of both musicians' posts asking if a reunion was in the works. As of Thursday afternoon, neither Nicks nor Buckingham had commented further on the posts. Nicks confirmed that singer and keyboardist Christine McVie's death in 2019 meant the end of Fleetwood Mac.

Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham fuel reunion rumours after cryptic posts

Stevie Nicks and her ex-partner Lindsey Buckingham, who have performed together as part of bands like Fleetwood Mac, excited fans with posts on social media this evening Former Fleetwood Mac bandmates Stevie Nicks and her ex-partner Lindsey Buckingham have sparked speculation that they are reuniting for a collaboration. Fans have shared their excitement following some cryptic posts this week. ‌ Stevie, 77, and Lindsey, 75, who had a relationship in the 1970s, are said to have become estranged in recent years, following his most recent departure from the band in 2018. Their former bandmate Mick Fleetwood, 78, shared last year that he hoped to see them reconcile in the future. ‌ Fans are hoping there could be a reunion in the works now after Stevie and Lindsey both shared lyrics from one of their songs on Instagram tonight. Stevie posted: "And if you go forward ..." Lindsey finished the lyric, sharing: "I'll meet you there." ‌ The lyrics, which appeared to be handwritten in their respective posts, are from the chorus of their song Frozen Love. It featured on their album Buckingham Nicks, which was released in 1973, prior to them joining Fleetwood Mac. Neither of the posts included a caption, with many fans taking to the comments sections to question what they meant. One person asked: "OMG! What does it mean?" Another wrote in their response: "Confirm what's going on pls." ‌ Others speculated that a reunion could happen. One wrote: "Right I think there's going to be another reunion." Someone said: "Buckingham Nicks????? Is it??? Reunion??? Ahhhh." Another wrote: "Come on let's see you both together again!!!!" One follower teased: "Oasis together again, now Buckingham Nicks, next is Gilmour Waters?" Sharing their thoughts, someone else commented on one of the posts earlier this evening: "WHAT'S GOING ON?!?!?!?! A REUNION?!?!?!" ‌ Some fans wondered if they are instead preparing to release their joint album on vinyl or on streaming platforms. One wrote: "Buckingham Nicks vinyl release??" Another said: "Is Buckingham Nicks just coming to streaming?" The posts came a day after their former bandmate Mick shared a video of himself listening to Frozen Love on the platform yesterday. Stevie and Lindsey both shared his post on their respective Instagram Stories tonight. ‌ Mick wrote in the caption of the post, which was shared jointly by Fleetwood Mac's account: "Magic then, magic now." After listening to the song, he said in the video: "Unbelievable. The marriage of Stevie and Lindsey. The marriage of coming into Fleetwood Mac when they did. It's all in this song. It's in the music that played on for so many years. It's magic then. Magic now. What a thrill! What a thrill! Amen." Stevie and Lindsey, who were in a relationship at the time, performed together as the duo Buckingham Nicks in 1973, after previously being in Fritz together. They joined Fleetwood Mac the following year and the former couple, who split up in 1976, later left the band at separate times. They returned in 1997 when the band got back together but Lindsey ended up leaving again in 2018. Stevie remained in Fleetwood Mac but the band hasn't performed together since the death of the late Christine McVie in 2022.
