Alex Caruso's Thunder parade shirt revealed his hysterical Mt. Rushmore
Caruso and OKC have every right to celebrate how they want. After outlasting the Indiana Pacers in a seven-game NBA Finals series, the Thunder have their first title, and the 31-year-old guard now has two rings. So, naturally, that means when the championship celebration happens, it's time to turn up. However, Caruso might have gone next-level with his tactics.

THUNDER BLUNDER: The Thunder are so young that popping champagne was their toughest test
On Tuesday, he arrived at the Thunder's parade in a Mount Rushmore shirt. But not just any Mount Rushmore shirt. Instead of pictures of OKC greats or even NBA legends, it had only one guy's face on it ― his. That's right. Caruso wore a Mount Rushmore shirt with four different pictures of his face. Pick a version of the OKC champ, and it was probably on his shirt, signature headband and all.
We're not sure whether to be appalled or clap, but either way, the idea is hysterical. Caruso also wore his Los Angeles Lakers ring around his neck ― just in case a hater wanted to say something ― and this is the type of carrying on we should all aspire to have in our lives.

However, the shirt seemingly didn't last long. By mid-parade, Caruso went full J.R. Smith, and it was already gone.
What a moment.

OKC Thunder Mailbag: How should Chris Paul be honored for contributions?
The calendar nears August, which means the NBA is in its driest part of the year. Rosters are mostly set as front offices head into vacation for the next couple of months before training camp starts. The Oklahoma City Thunder will enter the 2025-26 season with the hopes of being repeat NBA champions. They had one of the greatest seasons ever with a 68-14 regular-season record and captured the Larry O'Brien trophy. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren were all signed to new contract extensions this offseason. As the Thunder basically run it back with the same roster, Thunder Wire will conduct regular mailbags to answer questions that fans have. One question being asked is about Chris Paul. The 40-year-old signed with the LA Clippers this offseason, signaling he's going for a poetic end to his Hall of Fame career. While his impending retirement isn't officially known yet, at least one fan believes the Thunder should honor Paul for his contributions when that day comes. Not just for his 2019-20 season, but for his OKC Hornets years. He spent his first two seasons from 2005-07 there as the then-Hornets temporarily relocated due to Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. It was a test run to see if small-market OKC can support an NBA franchise. While Paul hasn't done enough to warrant his No. 3 jersey to get retired, maybe there's a nice middle ground. Even though he only spent one season on the Thunder, his contributions go beyond that. He helped mentor Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He gave OKC fans one of its most fun seasons ever, considering expectations. It was a much-needed bounce-back campaign by Paul, where he earned All-NBA honors. When Paul visits the Thunder on the road, he usually receives applause. Being part of the Thunder Legacy Network is the best answer. Every year, the Thunder invite over alumni players to be celebrated by fans for their time in OKC. They could also throw in his time on the Hornets, too. It'd be worth a shoutout. But once Paul hangs up his sneakers, he can be the headliner for a Thunder Legacy Network weekend in a future season. It's a program the Thunder have built up in recent years. The future Hall-of-Famer is always fond of his short time in OKC and left on good terms, which is impressive considering the immediate aftermath of being traded for franchise legend Russell Westbrook.

OKC Thunder jersey history No. 34 - Kenrich Williams (2020-25)
The Oklahoma City Thunder (and the Seattle Supersonics before them) have 51 jersey numbers worn by the players who have suited up for the franchise since its founding at the start of the 1967-68 season. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Thunder Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. And while those Supersonics jerseys may not remain part of the franchise history should a new team be established in Seattle as was the case with the return of the Charlotte Hornets, they are part of the Thunder's history today. For this article, we continue with the 34th jersey number in the series, jersey No. 34, with 17 players in total having donned the jersey in the history of the franchise. The 16th of those players did so in the Oklahoma City Thunder era, forward alum Kenrich Williams. After ending his college career at TCU, Williams would go unselected in the 2018 NBA Draft, instead signing with the New Orleans Pelicans. In 2020, he would be dealt to the Thunder, and remains with the team at the time of writing. During his time suiting up for the Thunder, Williams wore only jersey No. 34 and put up 6.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. All stats and data courtesy of Basketball Reference. Tyrese Haliburton returns to college, proposes to girlfriend on basketball court
Indiana Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton proposed to his girlfriend, Jade Jones, at center court of Hilton Coliseum at Iowa State where both attended college. On one knee next to hundreds or rose petals and a large lighted sign that read 'WILL YOU MARRY ME?' Haliburton had an engagement ring. She said yes. 'The place where our story started, and where our next chapter begins❤️💍,' Haliburton wrote on Instagram. Haliburton was also wearing a walking boot to help recover from a torn Achilles tendon sustained in the NBA Finals against Oklahoma City last month and a knee walker was next to Haliburton to help him keep weight off that leg. Haliburton and Jones met at Iowa State – he played for the men's basketball team and she was a cheerleader – and have been dating since college. Haliburton played two seasons at Iowa State and was the No. 12 pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2020 NBA Draft. The Kings traded Haliburton to Indiana in 2022, and he helped the Pacers reach the Finals this season. He won a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics and made the All-NBA team the past two seasons.
