Chilling video clip shows nightmare neighbours fighting with knives as mum living in fear

Jenna Moffat says she has been given antidepressants and anxiety medication due to the stress of the horror neighbours.
A Scots mum is "living in fear" for her young family's safety due to nightmare neighbours - who she caught on camera brawling and brandishing knives just metres away from her home.
Jenna Moffat, from Dalkeith says she's reported years of violence, drug abuse, and animal neglect in and around her block of flats, but the situation is only getting worse.

The mum-of-one says her repeated pleas for help have fallen on deaf ears, as she claims her landlord, Melville Housing Association, 'won't address the ongoing issues'.

Video captured in the last week showed one man brandishing a knife near to her property whilst trying to enter a flat - with another video showing a physical attack in the stairwell.
Jenna said despite police being called 'numerous times' due to reports of violence involving a tenant at her block of flats, a housing officer advised they 'need to get all their ducks in a row' before action can be taken.
"It feels like we're living in a soap opera, but this is real life," she said.
"I've been in here for four years now and it's been ongoing from the minute I moved in and gradually gotten worse.
"It's horrible because you don't know what you're going to walk out to.

"There are times that we've gone downstairs and there's been people sitting about downstairs taking drugs or people fighting in the stairwell.
"And it's the same thing when we're coming back in.
"This is causing significant fear and alarm to me and my family - I'm now getting antidepressants and anxiety medication due to the stress and everything that's going on.

"I don't really sleep because I'm so anxious - the buzzer goes constantly throughout the day and night and people scream and shout at the door every single day to get in."

The Mayfield resident said local drug users frequent the property which has led to regular antisocial behaviour in the area.

Jenna said neighbours have also shared their worries with her - and say they avoid going downstairs for fear of being attacked.
She said: "The reason I moved to this flat was because I was fleeing domestic violence and what's going on is very, very triggering.

"When I told my housing officer this, they didn't seem to care.
"I've been asking to get moved for the last three years but I'm told they need more evidence before anything can be done.
"I said how much more do you need me to complain about him and give you evidence?

"I've sent videos, pictures, voice notes - but every time something happens, I'm told they don't have enough evidence to remove him from the property.
"But surely he's broken his contract numerous times.
"I really don't know why he's not been removed from the area. I'm just getting nowhere with them.

"They also said I need to put in for an exchange, but I told them no one is going to exchange with me - everybody in Midlothian knows the person and know the sort of thing that goes on."
A Melville Housing Association spokesperson said: "Due to tenant confidentiality, we are unable to comment on individual cases.
"We can confirm that we take all reports of antisocial behaviour and criminal activity seriously and are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our tenants.
"Where incidents are reported to us, we work closely with partners including the police to respond appropriately within the scope of our powers as a landlord."

Steven MacMillan, 53, contacted the 13-year-old from Newcastle on social media where he told her he was a dentist from Scotland. She sent him an image of herself performing a sex act before he began sending her a string of sickening voice notes. In one message he told her: 'When daddy asks you to do something you better do it or there will be trouble.' And in another message he added: 'Good girls do what they are told.' The disturbing messages were discovered by the girl's mother who was left horrified when she had been in contact with MacMillan between February and March 2023. She contacted an online paedophile vigilante group who confronted him at his then home in Strathaven, Lanarkshire, and police were called in. MacMillan, now of Dalkeith, Midlothian, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted communicating indecently with the youngster who is now receiving counselling. Sheriff Colin Dunipace said there was no alternative to custody and placed MacMillan on the sex offenders' register for 10 years. Depute fiscal Scott O'Connor told the court: 'The complainer's mother confiscated her phone and observed numerous Snapchat notifications from various users and noted a user called Steve and enquired what she had been discussing. 'The complainer confirmed she had been involved in sexual communication and the mother opened the account and noted the voice notes on the device. Scots paedo lurks in bushes at notorious dogging hotspot near where he sexually assaulted boy, nine 'She was concerned for the complainer and contacted an online child safety team who later attended the accused's home where police were also contacted and arrested the accused.' The court was played eight voice notes where MacMillan made vile sexual remarks towards the girl. Alan Gravelle, defending, said: 'Plainly the custodial threshold has been crossed standing the age of the victim and the graphic content of the communication. 'Many aspects of this case are difficult to rationalise and in many respects it remains inexplicable that he should fall into this two-week period of offending when he had the stability of lifestyle including marriage and children, a successful academic career that then turned into a successful professional career and the financial stability that comes with it.' Sheriff Dunipace told MacMillan: 'The content of the communication was graphic and disturbing and they could leave no-one who heard them in any doubt of your intention when engaging with this child and hearing those conversations was harrowing and chilling. 'This was not a one-off but a part of a premeditated and sustained course of conduct where you sought to deprive her of her innocence for your depraved gratification.' The sheriff said it was 'tragic' to see someone like MacMillan in the dock but added that he had a 'duty to protect' youngsters and jail was the only option to deter others from similar offending. MacMillan, who qualified in 1995, has been suspended from working in dentistry by regulators since March 2023 and will remain suspended until at least December 31 this year. But it is likely he will be struck off by the General Dental Council (GDC) after he admitted his sickening crimes. We told how the beast has been brazenly jetting out to the sunny Costa Blanca where he has been golfing, relaxing and socialising, despite being on the sex offenders register.

Evil Scots paramedic who secretly drugged lover with abortion pills to kill unborn baby jailed for 10 years

Doohan was today sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow SICK MEDIC CAGED Evil Scots paramedic who secretly drugged lover with abortion pills to kill unborn baby jailed for 10 years Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A PARAMEDIC who secretly gave a pregnant woman an abortion drug killing her unborn child has been jailed for 10 and a half years. Stephen Doohan had concocted the sick plan after she told him she was having his baby. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Doohan was sentenced today at the High Court in Glasgow Credit: Getty The 33 year-old - who was a Clinical Team Leader with the Scottish Ambulance Service - was married at the time. He crushed pills into a syringe before administering the medication as she lay on a bed at his home in Edinburgh's upmarket Grange area in 2023. Doohan gave her more of the drug days later. The woman soon fell ill which included fainting in the shower. It later emerged that she had sadly lost the baby as a result of what Doohan did. He had pleaded with her not to go police - and also tried to buy her silence with gifts. But, she eventually reported him to the Scottish Ambulance Service having recorded a conversation of him effectively confessing. Doohan was sentenced today at the High Court in Glasgow. He had pleaded guilty at a hearing in May to assault, sexual assault and another charge of causing the woman to have an abortion. Lord Colbeck also imposed a non-harassment order banning him from approaching or contacting the woman. Anti-abortion protesters risking £10k fine after snubbing new buffer zone on first day The court previously heard how Doohan had met the woman while on holiday in Spain in 2021. He had not said he was married and they remained in contact. In March 2023, the woman discovered she was pregnant with his baby. By this time, Doohan had temporarily separated from his wife and was living at a flat in Edinburgh. Days later, Doohan and the woman were involved in consensual sexual activity. He then went on to do something she could not see, but she was not "suspicious of his actions" at that time. This was the time he used the syringe. The next day, the woman began to suffer stomach cramps. They were then back at Doohan's flat and he gave her diazepam for the pain. The court heard she ended up in a "deep sleep", but awoke to find Doohan "initiating sexual contact". This tim,e she was suspicious of what he was then doing, but was also feeling the effects of the diazepam. Doohan later went to the toilet and the woman took the chance to peek under the mattress. Prosecutor Scott McKenzie explained: "She found a plastic syringe containing crushed tablets which had been pushed to the end of the syringe. "Next to the syringe were two white tablets that were in the shape of a star." The woman immediately checked online for an "abortion tablet". Mr McKenzie: "The search returned images that matched the tablet the woman had found." Doohan initially denied what he had done before sobbing claiming he was "scared". He also said he had got the tablets from a doctor, but insisted they would not "work" on the woman as it was the wrong dosage. The traumatised mum-to-be phoned a friend who urged her to go to the police. But, the woman initially had concerns for Doohan stating she did not want to "ruin" him if she was okay. She still, however, recorded a later conversation with him and it was then he confessed to intimately inserting the syringe, but stated he "could not go through with it". He did accept that "fragments" of the drug still may have ended up in the woman's system. The woman also discovered he had been researching abortion on the internet. She tried to keep the tablets and syringe as proof, but could not find them after she had gone to the bathroom. The woman then had to go to hospital on March 18 2023 due to the ongoing pain. Doohan went with her but pleaded that he would be arrested if she "told the truth" and instead was to claim the pills came from "a friend of a friend". Mr McKenzie: "Before speaking to medical staff, the woman and Doohan rehearsed what she was going to say. "The midwife recalled her being distressed and concerned about the baby. "Doohan appeared quiet and expressionless." The next day, the woman collapsed in the shower and had to return to hospital. She, this time, insisted Doohan did not come in the examination room. It was soon after that it emerged she had suffered a miscarriage. Sick Doohan then splashed out on various gifts including perfume, socks, money to get her hair done and football tickets to keep her quiet. Mr McKenzie: "He made reference to her not reporting him to the police before telling her: 'If they want to come and arrest me, I am in St John's Hospital in Livingston'." The last contact she had with Doohan was in late June 2023. The woman initially lodged a formal complaint with the Scottish Ambulance Service. She handed over screenshots of messages as well as the conversation she recorded. This information was soon passed to the police. But Mr McKenzie explained: "Doohan discovered that she had made the complaint and asked that she send over the details of what she submitted." During the probe, it was discovered Doohan had checked for medical information on the drug misoprostol the same day the woman told him she was expecting. The court heard misoprostol can be "administered for the purpose of managing a miscarriage or inducing a termination of pregnancy". Mr McKenzie said the woman has been "significantly affected" by her ordeal. The woman was back in court today to see Doohan sentenced. Lord Colbeck told Doohan: "You researched and planned what you did to your victim. "You used resources available to you as a paramedic before manipulating the woman and executing that plan under the guise of consensual sexual activity. "You left her in what can only be described as considerable pain and anguish over the prospect of losing her child before she did, in fact, do so." The judge stated that the emotional victim impact statement he had read "radiates with raw pain" suffered by the woman. He stated: "The offences committed by you, frankly, are almost as serious as any this court is ever asked to sentence." Doohan would have been jailed for 14 years, but for the guilty plea. Doohan, now of Kirkliston, near Edinburgh, had also faced an allegation of stealing misoprostol from the Scottish Ambulance Service in Edinburgh, but a not guilty plea was accepted. Mark Stewart KC, defending, said Doohan was "deeply sorry" for what he had done. The lawyer added he had issues at the time which affected his "judgement and decision making" although that did not excuse what happened. Doohan was also put on the sex offenders list.
