The Best Polka Dot Dresses to Shop, As Worn by It-Girl Charli XCX

Cosmopolitan16-05-2025

It's official: polka dots are everywhere right now. Long considered twee, the pattern has been enjoying a cool girl revival as of late, with the likes of Clairo, Chloe Fineman and Olivia Rodrigo all putting their own spin on the look.
However, the ultimate cool girl Charli XCX has just given the trend her seal of approval, wearing a polka dot dress in her new video for 'party 4 u.' Styled by Chris Horan, the video follows Charli leaving an after party in the early hours of the morning, and wandering out into the road (as you do).
Her outfit features a dress made from multi-coloured polka dot silk scarves by Paris-based design studio All-In, worn with her signature black wrap-around shades and a black Coach Tabby shoulder bag (she also donned Coach's other it-girl fave, the Brooklyn bag, earlier this week). Thankfully, she takes the dress off before ripping apart a billboard plastered with her own face, covering it in black paint, and then setting the whole thing on fire. Rough night, hey.
The single is in fact not new, as it is taken from her 2020 album How I'm Feeling Now, which preceded the success of brat. Real ones (AKA me) remember! The song, and Charli's older music, has recently gained popularity on TikTok as people realize that, actually, she has always been a hitmaker. Good to see they're catching up.
If anyone could convince me that polka dots are no longer solely reserved for Minnie Mouse, it's her. So, whether you've got several wedding invitations, festivals, or messy parties planned, a polka dot dress is going to be your ultimate companion. Below, I've found the best ones to shop now, including the exact one worn by Charli.

Vera Wang Celebrates Her 76th Birthday in the Shortest, Backless Little Black Dress

Vera Wang celebrated her 76th birthday in a backless little black dress. She threw a dinner with her family and friends at Le Relais Plaza hotel in Paris, France. The soirée included a seafood dinner, cocktails, and a Brat-green-colored black dress, Parisian lights, cocktail in hand—now Vera Wang knows how to throw a birthday party. The fashion icon, who was born on June 27, 1949, rang in the big seven-six with an elegant soirée in the City of Love. Wang's 76th trip around the sun called for a go big or go home evening, and she delivered, starting with her ensemble, of course. The designer looked radiant in a daring, itty-bitty black satin minidress that featured a low scoop neckline and completely open back. She paired the piece with matching knee-high boots and appeared to forego all jewelry, instead accenting with gold sequins on her arm that wrote out '76.' As for beauty, Wang wore dewy makeup, complete with a sheer rep lip, bronzy smoky eye, and bright highlighter. She styled her luscious, long black locks down and pin-straight with a middle part. Wang threw her big fête at Le Relais Plaza hotel. She organized a sophisticated dinner with a seafood menu for her family and friends. And, because no birthday is complete without a cake, she blew the candles out on a Brat-green colored gateau, as the French would say. The dessert was decorated with a brown card that read "Happy Birthday Vera," as well as a glittery silver 76. Wang documented it all on her Instagram with several slideshows, including a collection of snaps of her gifts, including bouquets of flowers, a box of macarons, sunglasses, chocolate, caviar, teddy bear keychains, and more. "Just celebrating my 75 9/10 - 76th birthday NEW YORK TIME with my Parisian crew and a few others who have been lifelong besties ! Thank you all for this special special night! 🖤🇫🇷🎂," she captioned a slideshow of herself walking through the hotel. Read the original article on InStyle

Khloé Kardashian names every cosmetic procedure she's done: 'I know some great doctors'

When it comes to sharing her beauty regimen, Khloé Kardashian is taking a page from sister Kylie Jenner's digital book. The reality TV star and media mogul, 41, opened up about her history of cosmetic procedures in the comments section of a June 28 Instagram post. Following her recent appearance at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's Italy wedding, Kardashian received a shout-out from Dr. Jonny Betteridge, a London-based aesthetician, who praised her as the "standout face" from the celebrity nuptials. Betteridge, who said Kardashian's physical appearance has "changed a lot over the past few years" speculated that "The Kardashians" star's "transformation" likely included cosmetic procedures such as a "temporal brow lift," a rhinoplasty (nose job), lip filler, and a face and neck lift. "She looks dramatically different from a few years ago," Betteridge concluded. "And whether you see it as glow up or glam makeover, there's no denying she's created a bold new look for herself." The following day, Kardashian responded to Betteridge's assessment by confirming the cosmetic work she's had done in a detailed list, including the doctors and service providers who oversaw her procedures. "I take this as a great compliment!" she wrote. "In 2025 there are many other things we can do before surgery," Kardashian added. "But when it's time, and if I choose to, I know some great doctors 😉💞" What cosmetic work has Khloé Kardashian done? See the full list Khloé Kardashian's beauty candor follows Kylie Jenner's breast implant confession Earlier this month, Kardashian's younger sister got candid about her own cosmetic history. The Kylie Cosmetics founder, 27, revealed her exact breast implant order after a fan, social media influencer Rachel Leary, complimented Jenner's bust in a TikTok video published June 2. "445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!! garth fisher!!! hope this helps lol," Jenner wrote in the comments section. Kardashian previously opened up about her relationship with body image, including her explorations of plastic surgery, in the June 2021 reunion for "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Kardashian revealed at the time that she'd had a nose job, as well as unspecified "injections." "When the show first started, I was very secure, very secure," Kardashian said. "Then, during the first couple seasons I became insecure because of the public opinions of myself. Then, I had a good run of being secure. Then, recently I've become now insecure again. So, I guess it just goes up and down." Contributing: Erin Jensen, USA TODAY

Danny Wolf's weeping brother goes viral after Nets' 2025 NBA Draft pick

The post Danny Wolf's weeping brother goes viral after Nets' 2025 NBA Draft pick appeared first on ClutchPoints. While Cooper Flagg was the main reason for all the interest that surrounded the first round of the 2025 NBA draft in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, there was surely more to the event than just the Dallas Mavericks' shiny new weapon from the Duke Blue Devils. After all, virtually everyone knew what was going to be the outcome of that pick. There were also plenty of other sidelights during the draft that got people's attention, including Brooklyn Nets draftee Danny Wolf's brother, Jake. Advertisement Following the announcement on stage that the Nets took the former Michigan Wolverines star big man as the 27th pick overall, Jake was caught on camera with his emotions on full display. The moment was just too immense for Jake, as he let it all out, with tears flowing down his face. Fans have lots of reactions to the clip of Jake Wolf tearing up, as his brother gets to realize his NBA dream. 'Get you someone in your life that cries over your success like Jake Wolf does 🥹,' posted a fan on X (formerly Twitter). 'We're ALL Jake Wolf right now,' shared a commenter. One fan can relate: 'Ay that's how I'd react if my brother got drafted to the NBA' Advertisement However, there were also others who couldn't help but make jokes about the Nets. 'What getting drafted by the Nets does to people,' one said. 'S**t i'd be the same way having to haul my sorry a** to barclays every game day 😭😭' a different comment read. 'Those are not tears of joy,' chimed in another. Jake, one of Danny's two older brothers, also knows how to play ball, having suited up for the Washington University from 2021 to 2023. The 6-11 Danny Wolf will bring a promising blend of size and skill to the Nets. Despite his size, he can put the ball on the floor, create shots for others and do damage from the perimeter. Advertisement After two years in the Ivy League with the Yale Bulldogs, he transferred to Ann Arbor and played a season for the Wolverines under head coach Dusty May, averaging 13.2 points, 9.7 rebounds and a career-high 3.6 assists while shooting 33.6 percent from behind the arc.
