Teenage boy dies after stabbing near Woodbine Beach: police
The incident happened around 10:10 p.m. near Eastern and Coxwell avenues, police said in a post on X. Officers and paramedics responded to reports of someone being stabbed.
When they arrived, they found a male victim with injuries. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police did not provide the victim's exact age.
The homicide unit has been notified and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Maywood man charged with carjacking, hitting taxi driver with car, attacking woman in the Loop
A man was charged with carjacking and hitting a taxi driver with their own car before crashing it and attacking a woman in downtown Chicago on Friday. Maurice McDowell, 43, of Maywood, was charged with three felonies, including attempted murder, vehicular hijacking, and aggravated battery to a peace officer. He was also charged with five misdemeanors, including assault, battery, and three counts of resisting a peace officer. Police said on Friday, just before midnight, a carjacker [McDowell] forcefully pulled a 36-year-old man out of his vehicle near Madison and Wabash. He then hit the victim with the taxi before crashing it. McDowell also hit a 53-year-old woman in the face after crashing the vehicle, according to police. Officers found the suspect blocking the street on Wabash a short time later, and he began fighting with police and resisting arrest. The taxi driver was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition. The woman suffered minor abrasions and was also taken to Northwestern for treatment. Airport drama as man runs across runway
Adelaide police are hunting a man who was seen running across an airport runway before disappearing into a storm drain. The incident happened at Parafield Airport in the city's northern suburbs about 3.30pm on Sunday. As of Monday morning, police have still not found the intruder. The airport is used by privately-owned light planes and for aviation training. In a statement, police said a man in dark clothing was seen running on the runways at the airport. 'No flights were affected or aircraft put in danger,' the police spokesperson said. 'The man ran into a stormwater drain.' Officers from the police Special Tasks and Rescue squad and the dog squad were called in. Officers and firefighters using oxygen tanks and masks went into the drains, but the man could not be found. Flight records show one light plane pushed back its scheduled departure by 40 minutes to 5.10pm. Another flight, this one coming from Whyalla, circled Adelaide a few times before touching down safely at Parafield at 4.47pm.

Man, four children stole car, committed armed robbery in NE Baltimore, police say
A man and four children, one as young as 10 years old, were detained after a car was stolen and an armed robbery was committed Saturday evening in Northeast Baltimore, according to police. Police said a 10-year-old boy, two 13-year-old girls, a 14-year-old boy, and a 32-year-old man were reportedly involved in an assault and robbery at a bus stop on East Northern Parkway. The suspects took off in a stolen vehicle and were located in the 1300 block of Gorsuch Avenue, where all five of the suspects jumped out, according to police. Officers determined the vehicle was stolen on July 4 from the 4200 block of Falls Road. The man was taken to a hospital and the minors were taken to juvenile booking for processing.
